  1. File Name: Golden HK-47 File Submitter: tjsase File Submitted: 25 Jun 2015 File Category: Skins This mod makes HK-47 gold and shiny. This is the third version (first on this site) which adds an environment map to create an artificial reflection. I originally posted this mod and previous versions to kotorfiles under the name goatman82197. Enjoy! Compatible with KotOR 1 & 2 INSTRUCTIONS If you have Kotor 1, place the files from K1 into the override folder within the main game folder. If you have KotOR 2: The Sith Lords, run the installation file within K2. BUGS None that I know of. THANX Thanks to Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and Kotor Tool. COPYRIGHT You can use this mod and edit it, but don't redistribute it without crediting me, tjsase (formerly goatman82197). Click here to download this file
  2. Does anybody know where I can get a cubemap for a Drexl? I'm working on some textures and I feel that this is the biggest thing missing. I was about to download the Modders' Resource Cubemap Pack but I wanted to make sure first. Plus, I don't have a clue on how to build one myself... Thanks!
  3. File Name: Natural PFHA04 Reskin File Submitter: honeybeenectarine File Submitted: 10 Jun 2015 File Category: Skins This is just a simple reskin I made for personal use that I thought turned out kind of nice! I edited the fourth female Asian head option's texture to have darker hair, a white and gold ribbon instead of a dark orange one, darker and more brown eyes, thicker eyebrows, and a more natural lip color. I didn't include reskins of this head's dark side transitions. Click here to download this file
  4. Hey there everyone, in this tutorial I will be showing you how to make animated textures. I only went into one basic tutorial, because to do a million different ones would take forever. Anyways, if you need help with any animated texture, be sure to ask me as I can definitely (hopefully) help you out!!!

  8. Hey guys! In today's video, I'll be showing all of you Mac players out there (woot woot!) on how to get the KSE to work on a Mac. It's somewhat simple, depending if you know how to use Wineskin Winery or not. Anyways, stay tuned for the special message at the end of the video, since I forgot something important! Everything is explained in this video with step by step instructions:

  10. This goes to all those Mac players out there! Hey guys, I'm here with another tutorial! In this video, I show how you can mod Kotor 1 and 2 on a Mac! It's actually quite simple. All of the details are explained in the video!
  11. Just a heads up: I'm not super good at giving tutorials, so please give me a chance. In this video that I created, I go through the basics of certain modding tutorials. Everything is explained in the video: Finally, my tutorial video is here! If you ever wanted to get started with modding, here are a few simple tutorials on how to mod several things. In this video, I'll show you how to edit: textures, uti (items), utc (characters and creatures), utm (stores), utp (placeable objects), dlg (dialogues), and how to create merchants. I'm only going over really basic stuff in this tutorial. I don't go in-depth; that's being saved for when I know even more about modding. I'll be putting out tutorials here and there about modding, whether it's for how to get mods working, or like this video, showing how to create mods! 12. So, I think it's pretty clear that we won't be getting a KOTOR 3 anytime soon. Given that it has been ten years since its last installment, I personally would be extremely surprised if it ever happens. That bitter pill out of the way, with a fan base so large and present on the web, why is it not reasonable to think KOTOR 3 could be a fan made project? Before the devil's advocate and his nay saying buddied pick me to pieces; I think with good management, a clear vision, and s##t ton of work, it would be very doable. I'm not just talking, I would put in the work and be willing to take the lead on many aspects of the project. LET'S DO IT! I welcome any and all constructive feedback. Thanks for looking.
  13. Hello there! I just found out some news about KOTOR remake in HD with some new features, and i wanna know so far what you know about it. Thanks. http://kh13.com/forum/topic/72719-kotor-hd-remake-currently-in-development/ http://kotorremaster.webs.com/new-features
  14. Hey, I downloaded the M4-78 Mod onto my KOTOR II game (TSLRM 1.8.3 already installed), and encountered a huge bug! I completed the m4-78 quests up until the point that you go speak to the actual droid M4-78, but I cannot get to him! I open the door in the main core and I see a force field with Master Vash on the other side, but I cannot lower it! There are two computer consoles in the room, but I cannot interface with them. I have tried reloading a previous save and encountered the same issue! Any help or advice is very much appreciated, thank you!

  16. Today I am excited to announce; 1.8.3 is released. M4-78EP's update is released. For some background, M4-78EP's release was 1 year and 3 months ago. It has been 1 year and 3 months since TSLRCM 1.8.2 was released. What an exciting few years it has been for us! KoTOR 2 is a little over 9 years old, but the modding community still runs strong. Give KOTOR2 a happy 10th birthday next year, it deserves it! Let me take this time to thank all our followers; All the people who made this possible, who downloaded our mod, gave us feedback and spread word of TSLCRM into the world, all of our fans who voted us 10th in mod of the year 2012 and honorary mod of 2013, and of course all of the fans looking forward to M4-78EP. Once of our proudest moments and maybe the best reward of all is how Chris Avellone (@ChrisAvellone) himself tweeted about our 1.8 release! To reminisce a little, this all started with the usual response to complaints about TSLRP, which was that people should make their own mod, then they could complain. 2 modders, Stoney and Zbyl2 (with help from Jinger and a few others), did just that. TSLRCM was first released to the public on 24 September 2009. The release was version 1.4 and was labeled as a public beta, being a playable mod with few to no game breaking bugs. 1.4 was improved by patches 1.4a, 1.4b, 1.4c, and 1.4d. At this point, animator Savvy30039 decided to contribute her lean animation to the restoration, which was included in 1.4d. On 15 march 2010 was the release of TSLRCM 1.5. A patch to the mod, 1.5a, was released shortly after to resolve some remaining bugs. Between 1.5 and 1.6 the development team was strengthened by Hassat Hunter (previously testing) and Varsity Puppet (previously some minor tweaks, now HK-Factory, Peragus and other areas). On June 24th, 2010, TSLRCM 1.6 was released, featuring various cut scene tweaks, dialog bug fixes and more. On October 16th, 2010, TSLRCM 1.7 was released, which features additional bug-fixes and other additions such as: the Visas-Nihilus movie using the in-game engine to play (rather than a pre-rendered BIK movie), Kreia's Battle for Telos Mod was integrated into the mod, the low-res BIK movies of the Dantooine battle replaced with in- game ones, and an improved dialog.tlk mod integrated/improved upon (for the English version.) Almost a year has passed, but work still continued on 1.8, which is the biggest TSLRCM release yet. It was released on 24 july 2012. On 28 December 2012, after a long period of development, finally M4-78EP saw the light, adding a full grand planet to explore and experience more KOTOR2 gameplay in, and actually talk with Vash herself(alive as well), explaining some critical details about force bonds to the player, meanwhile uncovering the events which took place just before the Exile's arrival. Let's talk TSLRCM 1.8.3. As you can expect with the time it took, its considerable bigger than 1.8.1 and 1.8.2 combined. Don't expect major leaps though, 1.8's done pretty much everything possible to the game, instead 1.8.3 is just fixing all the tiny little snippets of little bugs that dare pop up from time to time. And even though we have been at it quite some time, there apparently are still vanilla issues around only to be found now. Like how messed up all the sound sets on the Ravager were, truthfully I hope after 1.8.3 there will be no need for a 1.8.4. Now let us shift gears to the M4-78EP update; Unlike TSLRCM 1.8.3, this patch is more than that; it is a true update, rather than a bug fixing patch. While many issues have been resolved, most of its development time has been used up on making new content, adding to existing content, and completely overhauling certain endgame cut scenes. While the change list for M4-78EP is quite minor, please understand the KoTOR’s game engine (Odyssey) is quite a pain to mod most of the time, so remember a lot of time and effort went into these changes. This update will also be released today! However, all of this work we have put into TSLRCM and M4-78EP, was not just for us, but for the entire community. We want everyone to experience a fun, full and non-frustrating play through of KoTOR 2. That is why we spent so much time on KoTOR 2 and that is why these updates are dedicated to you, our fans and community. Thank you for all the support these last 5 years, it has been amazing. ~The TSLRCM and M4-78 crew Download TSLRCM 1.8.3 HERE! Download M4-78EP HERE! It's advised to completely re-install The Sith Lords before applying 1.8.3. Afterwards, you can install M4-78EP (patched), then any compatible mods you desire...
  17. File Name: Sonic Screwdriver File Submitter: InSidious File Submitted: 20 Oct 2014 File Category: Mods Description The sonic screwdriver comes from the planet Gallifrey, in the constellation of Kasterborus, in a galaxy far, far away. Not only can it unscrew and unlock things, it also has its uses as a weapon, particularly against machines. Damage Bonus, Sonic +2 Damage Bonus vs. Droids, Ion +1-4 Repair +2 To get it in-game, it can be purchased from Crattis Yurkal on Dantooine. Alternatively, you can get it by typing "giveitem di_ssd_01" and "giveitem di_ssd_02" into the console, without quote, and hitting the return key. This mod adds two items to the game: a weapon, the stats of which are outlined above, and a useable item. The useable item will allow the player to open closed doors and unlock placeable items, dependent on scoring 15 or higher on a random number generator out of 20. If not, the effect will fizzle. The player also needs to have the sonic screwdriver weapon actually equipped at the time in order to use this. N.B.: This mod is incompatible with any other which modifies the file "dan13_crattis.dlg". Installation Double click on "Install Sonic Screwdriver for KotOR I", and hit the "Install Mod" button. Uninstallation Remove the following files from your Override folder: di_ss_01.ncs di_ss_01.tga di_ss_01.txi di_ssd_01.dlg di_ssd_01.uti di_ssd_02.uti ip_pltuseitem_241.tga iw_SonicPstl_241.tga w_SonicPstl_241.mdl w_SonicPstl_241.mdx If you installed this mod on top of other mods, DO NOT delete the files "globalcat.2da" OR "spells.2da", as this may cause problems with your game. Credits & Thanks -Thanks are especially due to Fair Strides 2, whose help was invaluable in getting the scripting for the sonic screwdriver functioning properly; -Thanks also to VarsityPuppet for the inspiration to revisit this mod, and for feedback on the model; -Thanks as always to the folk at Holowan Labs, without whom KotOR modding would never have got off the ground. -Lucasarts and Bioware for KotOR, and Obsidian, too, for TSL, without which, I couldn't have made this . 18. Malachor Exterior Reskin By Quanon View File This mod started by a request from SithHolocron to give Malachor better looking skies. Though when the skies where ready, the other textures looked really off. The contrast between the jagged cliffs and the sky was just to big in my opinion. So the mod evolved into a full reskin of the exterior areas of Malachor. All the rocks, debris, cliffs and floor got a new texture. Only a few things haven't been changed; the broken and crashed spaceship parts and those broken eggs from the storm beasts remain the same. A nice little preview: Submitter Quanon Submitted 04/21/2014 Category Skins TSLRCM Compatible
  19. File Name: War Torn Mullet Man File Submitter: ZimmMaster File Submitted: 26 Sep 2014 File Category: Skins ------------------------------------------------ » Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic ------------------------------------------------ AUTHOR: ZimmMaster NAME: War Torn Mullet Man TYPE: Reskin VERSION: 2.0 SIZE: 2.81 MB (UNZIPPED) DATE RELEASED: 9/24/14 WEBSITE: http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/developer/ZimmMaster;29005 ---------------------- » DESCRIPTION ---------------------- The War Torn Mullet Man is a mod that adds a new selectable head for your PC. Similar to my New PMHH01 mod for TSL, this mod goes for the older, more worn look befitting someone who has been through wars, rather than someone in their twenties fresh out of the Jedi Temple. This mod tries to reflect that look, making him appear to be in his mid-thirties. There are no zombie style dark side transitions here. They are more subtle so as to appear similar to the movies' version. In addition to the head, this character comes with custom clothes as well, which are a reskin of the default Scout clothing. To top it all off, this mod comes with custom portraits modeled after the default ones. ----------------------- » INSTALLATION ----------------------- After extracting the archive, click and run the TSLPatcher executable file and follow the on-screen instructions. --------------------- » KNOWN BUGS --------------------- - None that I can tell. ----------------------- » CONTRIBUTORS ----------------------- - Fred Tetra, for creating his awesome KOTOR Tool that makes us modders job a lot easier. - GIMP, the awesome tool that I use to manipulate my image files. - Shem, for creating his PMHC04 reskin which I used for reference to make part of the beard in a previous version. - My Intro to Digital Imagery teacher (shall remain anonymous by request) who is teaching my class new techniques that made me decide to make this mod. ---------------------- » PERMISSIONS ---------------------- - Permission re-obtained from Shem to continue referencing his texture from my old mod. --------------------------------------- » DISTRIBUTION AND USAGE NOTES --------------------------------------- This mod or any of its individual components may not be modified or distributed without the explicit permission of the author unless restricted to your own personal usage. ---------------- » LEGAL ---------------- THIS MODIFICATION IS PROVIDED AS-IS AND IS NOT SUPPORTED BY BIOWARE OR LUCASARTS OR ANY LICENSERS/SPONSORS OF THE MENTIONED COMPANIES. 20. HD Fire and Ice, Whee! View File Installation is simple: just drag the .tga files you want into your override folder. It is, in fact, compatible with KotOR 1. Fire Files: fx_fireball01.tga fx_flame.tga Covers the flame effect from flamethrowers and things that reuse this (most custom force powers using fire use this effect). The fireball is an adaptation of Fire_001 made by Mr. Bubble for RPG Maker games. (http://mrbubblewand.wordpress.com/tag/fire/) I recolored the flames to be a little less red, and also added some tween frames to make the whole thing more puffy. It is approximately four times the original flame's resolution - the original was made of multiple overlapping 51x51 sprites expanded up to consume entire bodies, these are 204x204 with soft blending edges. The fire stream is an adaptation of Misc Fire Element made by dbszabo for general usage. (http://dbszabo1.deviantart.com/) It was a pretty simple affair. Ice Files: fx_crystal01.tga fx_reflectmap.tga The ice is an adaptation of Ice Texture made by DudeAlan2001 for general purposes, and is eight times the original resolution, going from 128 to 1024. (http://dudealan2001.deviantart.com/art/Ice-Texture-77076446) I slightly colored the ice and played with the alpha channel, but I didn't really do any hard work on that one. Most of the hard work was actually on the ice's reflect map, reducing the overpowering glow to be a little paler and a little less common. Overall, it looks more like "unnaturally glowing ice and snow" and less like "unnaturally glowing saran wrap." Submitter Cinder Skye Submitted 09/10/2014 Category Skins K1R Compatible No

  23. This is a small trailer for my "Let's Play" of KOTOR 1 using the K1 Restoration Beta. In March of 2014 some of my subscribers requested that I play KOTOR. Although I was not very farmilar or comfortable with Let's Playing games I thought I would give it a shot since I needed to play through Taris to cover the available content of the K! Restoration Beta. The project itself evolved well beyond what it was initially and Jack Star was born. There series is both fun to make and very popular leading me to consider creating a second chapter in the saga. Through the time making this series I learned much about presenting, recording, video making and many other thing and thus the series progressively improves. I just thought I would share it for those who are interested. For those who are not, you can always check out my KOTOR mod coverage. Thank you for your time and I hope you have an excellent day

  25. File Name: Sleeveless 'Starkiller' Robes File Submitter: InSidious File Submitted: 01 Mar 2014 File Category: Mods This mod replaces the default game male Jedi robe models with sleeveless ones, inspired by Starkiller’s robes in The Force Unleashed 2. The mod also reskins the Qel-Droma Robes for males so that they look more like the robes worn by Starkiller at the start of TFU2. These changes will only affect the PC and Jolee. Other characters will wear ‘sleeved’ robes as normal. Click here to download this file
