  1. View File TSL Mira Unpoofed In KOTOR 2, Mira is a companion with hair that falls nothing short of a blocky mop. Whether the style's a relic from the early 2000s or due to graphical limitations at the time, this mod aims to tone down her excessive volume. Now, you can make Mira look just the right amount of edgy. Installation To install this mod, drag the "Override" files to the override folder located in your game's directory. If prompted, select replace, though you may want to back up duplicates beforehand. To uninstall this mod, delete p_mirah.mdl and p_mirah.mdx from your game's override folder. Compatibility & Known Issues Install this mod after installing any NPC portrait mods. Otherwise, there should be no issues. 2. I'm wondering if any modder would like to recreate it as a force power such that it can be used by main character and companions. I understand how it works which basically spawn a couple of invisible NPC (using Lightsaber_Floating appearance) equipped with a lightsaber, the problem is I don't know how to spawn NPC with mod... I notice there is one mod exist somewhere in the Internet which is for Kotor 1, while I'm not sure does it compatible with TSL, as it also come with other force powers which some of them are actually taken from TSL.

  4. The first mistake I have is that I am trapped in Zez-Kai Ell's room in Nar Shadda after talking to him and agreeing to meet in Dantooine. The exit door is locked and there is no way to open it. I already installed the whereami bracelet and I can equip it, but when I wanna use it it does not appear next to the grenades and the medpacs, but in the menu of my character I have it equipped.

This mod allows the player to access a full map of the Ebon Hawk in KOTOR II. If you're annoyed at blocked off corners within the ship that prevent you from filling the map on your own, then this is the mod for you. Installing this will add a dialogue option to the ship's security system allowing you to download the Ebon Hawk's full map. I've also added background stars to the Ebon Hawk's interior maps (regular and prologue variants) to make them look less bland. Installation To install this mod, run Installer.exe and select your game's directory. To uninstall this mod, delete the files from your game's Override folder. Note that the Ebon Hawk's map will still be full in saves created before uninstalling. Compatibility & Known Issues This mod should be fully compatible with anything else. Installing this mod for a version of the game not in English may cause issues, although I've added language compatibility to the best of my ability. 6. Does anyone have a Dl-44 and/or M-57 (Luke Skywalker's blaster from ESB) blaster mod for Kotor 2? Been searching for a while, and have never come across a mod with either one.
  7. View File HD Astromech Upscale DESCRIPTION This is an HD reskin of our loyal astromech droid T3-M4, as well as the rest of the astromech droids. Their textures are now each 2048x2048, each ai-upscaled and manually retouched. I constantly checked my work against the 3D model to ensure there were no texture seams. I even added an environment map to enhance the look of the brushed metal. I made sure to remain as faithful to the original texture as possible while adding a few details of my own. This mod should be compatable with both KotOR games, though T3-M4's texture will go unused in KotOR. INSTALLATION Drop all the .tga or .tpc files into the Override folder wherever KotOR or KotORII is installed. UNINSTALLATION Delete the previously installed files. THANKS Thanks to the makers of KotORTool, ESRGAN, GIMP, mdledit, KotORBlender, Blender, and the KotOR Savegame editor. Mod by tjsase. Feel free to include this mod in modpacks so long as you credit me and link back to the original download page. Submitter tjsase Submitted 12/13/2019 Category Skins TSLRCM Compatible Yes

Installation is simple: just drag the .tga files you want into your override folder. It is, in fact, compatible with KotOR 1. Fire Files: fx_fireball01.tga fx_flame.tga Covers the flame effect from flamethrowers and things that reuse this (most custom force powers using fire use this effect). The fireball is an adaptation of Fire_001 made by Mr. Bubble for RPG Maker games. (http://mrbubblewand.wordpress.com/tag/fire/) I recolored the flames to be a little less red, and also added some tween frames to make the whole thing more puffy. It is approximately four times the original flame's resolution - the original was made of multiple overlapping 51x51 sprites expanded up to consume entire bodies, these are 204x204 with soft blending edges. The fire stream is an adaptation of Misc Fire Element made by dbszabo for general usage. (http://dbszabo1.deviantart.com/) It was a pretty simple affair. Ice Files: fx_crystal01.tga fx_reflectmap.tga The ice is an adaptation of Ice Texture made by DudeAlan2001 for general purposes, and is eight times the original resolution, going from 128 to 1024. (http://dudealan2001.deviantart.com/art/Ice-Texture-77076446) I slightly colored the ice and played with the alpha channel, but I didn't really do any hard work on that one. Most of the hard work was actually on the ice's reflect map, reducing the overpowering glow to be a little paler and a little less common. Overall, it looks more like "unnaturally glowing ice and snow" and less like "unnaturally glowing saran wrap."
  11. Xuul's Ultimate Kotor 2 guide Step by step guide to installing, modding and fixing Kotor 2 for the PC Topics covered in this guide Introduction Installing the Game Installing TSLRCM/M4-78 Widescreen resolutions HD/ Widescreen Cutscenes (movies) Installing other mods Recommended mods Troubleshooting Introduction With the advent of the new patch for the STEAM version much of this guide is out of date and not needed in regards to STEAM VERSION Hi there, welcome to my ultimate guide to Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. This guide is intended to be the ultimate tutorial on everything from getting the base game running, to installing mods and changing to a custom resolution. Throughout the guide there will be links to various video tutorials that cover each of the steps in much greater detail. Before we begin I will introduce myself. I’m Xuul, I make Youtube videos about gaming, modding and tech. For over a year now I have been making video tutorials and spotlights to help people get into the Kotor modding community; so if you think this guide was helpful please consider checking out my Youtube Channel With that out of the way it is time to begin setting up Kotor. Installation The first thing you need to do is install Kotor 2. If you have already installed it and attempted to mod/change the files in any way I would recommend that you do a fresh install. (Uninstall the game, delete all files, and then reinstall). This will help prevent any problems that may arise from residual files. After that you need to determine two things: What version of Kotor 2 do you have? There are several different versions of Kotor 2 and each has its own problems and advantages. As of writing this guide the most common versions of the game are the 4 Disk Retail Version (Retail), Steam Version, & GoG Version The main differences in these files are that the Steam Version has an encrypted executable making the widescreen hacks not work correctly, while the retail version requires downloading and installing of several patches before it works. What version of windows do you have? This really comes down to two things (or really 3) What version of windows are you using and if the OS is 32 bit or 64 bit While the installation of the game itself should be simple it is important to test the game by launching it, creating a new character and entering the world once before continuing. This will help isolate if and crashing / errors that occur later are a result of a mod or from the game itself. TSLRCM & M4-78EP I do NOT recommend playing Kotor 2 without using TSLRCM. The game is an unfinished mess without the mod so do yourself a favor and install it. Just remember that some mods will not work with TSLRCM (see the Compatibility List for more info) M4-78EP (Droid Planet Mod) is optional although I would recommend you give it a try at least once. The mod is not without its flaws and some people prefer to play the game without it. You can take a look at my video review below if you are having trouble deciding. Due to the fact that TSLRCM and M4-78 have several custom movie files I recommend installing them before using any widescreen fixes. Download TSLRCM >>Link Run the .exe file Select the folder where Kotor 2 is installed and click next, then follow the prompts Launch Kotor 2 to confirm if the mod is working Download M4-78 EP >>Link Select the folder where Kotor 2 is installed and click next then follow the prompts If you are having installation issues check out the following videos. Each is very detailed and tailored to specific setups: Retail/GoG version: Steam version: Widescreen Resolution By default Kotor 2 will only run at a 4:3 resolution. Even if the game appears to fill your entire screen it is highly likely that is it merely stretching to fit your monitor. The method that I recommend requires two files Universal Widescreen (UniWS) and the UI Fixes. Depending on the version of the game you are using you may need to download the Editable .Exe File . This is a copy of the file that launches the game that is not encrypted, and allows hex editing. Download this file and If you are using the Steam version of the game I recommend clicking HERE for more information. Download all of the required files Set the ingame resolution to the second highest available resolution (Ex: 1280*960 on a 16:9 monitor) Run UniWS, Under the game dropdown menu select "Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords" Click find it for me** Set the width and height fields in the patcher to match your monitor (Ex: 1920 & 1080) Click Patch Go to your Kotor 2 installation folder and open the swkotor2.ini Find the entries under [Display options Find the width and height and set them to your resolution of choice Go to the area called [Graphics options in the .ini file and again change the width and height Set V-Sync=1 Extract the Hud Fix that matches your resolution to the override folder of the game Launch the game and enjoy widescreen **If this step fails something is wrong with your .exe file for Kotor 2. Search for the file manually. If it still fails to work check out the video below for troubleshooting. HERE is the video I made regarding Kotor 2 in widescreen It is important to note that if you do NOT see the option for the 1280X960 resolution in your list then simply use the SECOND LARGEST available resolution in its place. Widescreen Movies One problem with changing the game to run at widescreen is that it will cause all of the prerendered movies to play at a very small resolution. This not only looks bad but can actually result in crashes and errors that may cause cutscenes to not work. This method is based off of THIS post over on the lucasforums. All credit goes to the author of said post In order to fix this we are going to use a HeX editor and video conversion tools to both resize and upscale the movies to fit your screen. You may also need this Hexadecimal converter There are several different steps that need to be taken depending on what version of the game you own: Steam- Due to the encryption of the Kotor 2 .exe in the steam version you will be unable to edit the Hex values. An alternative method is outlined in the video >>Here Retail- This a complicated process. I would Highly recommend following this video guide as it is much more detailed and will walk you through the steps in detail. Make sure you download the HQ Movies Patch so you have the higher quality movies Ensure TSLRCM and M4-78 EP are installed Download the HQ movie patches found >>Here Install all of the HQ movies into the \Movies folder. This will overwrite many of your movie files with higher quality ones Use the video conversion tools to convert all of the .bik movies into the desired resolution. Convert all of the movies. There will be ~70 with TSLRCM and M4-78 EP installed. Select all the movies then click "Bink it!" in the lower left corner of the RAD Video Tools window. Then under "Browse" select an empty folder to output into the desktop Under "Input video settings," enter your desired resolutions. Ensure compress audio is selected (unchecking this *may* result in no audio on some configurations) Wait for the movies to convert. Install the HeX Editor Open the swkotor2.exe with the editor Find the following hex values and edit them to match your desired resolution (use crtl + F to find the values) Follow the steps below Ensure the .ini file is correctly set to your desired resolution The following Hex Strings need to be edited: 80 02 00 00 75 15 81 3D E8 C1 80 00 E0 01 & 80 02 00 00 C7 44 24 10 E0 01 The bold HeX values correspond with the width and height respectively. The pairs need to be flipped before they are converted into decimal. Use this Hexadecimal converter to find the values you need. For example in order to convert the movies into 1920x1080 I would change the following values: 80 02 00 00 75 15 81 3D E8 C1 80 00 E0 01 >>> 80 07 00 00 75 15 81 3D E8 C1 80 00 38 04 80 02 00 00 C7 44 24 10 E0 01 >>> 80 07 00 00 C7 44 24 10 38 04 Open the Hex calculator and type 1920 (Or any width) in the Decimal field Write down the Hexadecimal value as a pair adding 0 to the start as necessary (Ex. 780 >> 0780 >> 07 80) Flip the pair (Ex. 07 80 >> 80 70) Replace the blue value listed above (The width values) with the new width value (Ex. 80 02 >> 80 07) Open the Hex calculator and type 1080 (Or any height) in the Decimal field Write down the Hexadecimal value as a pair adding 0 to the start as necessary (Ex. 438 >> 0438 >> 04 38) Flip the pair (Ex. 04 38 >> 38 04) Replace the red value listed above (The height values) with the new width value (Ex. E0 01 >> 38 04) Installing other mods If you have followed the guide so far you have reached a point where you have a stable “base game”. At this point you can go ahead and play the game with no problems. Before you begin please read the Compatibility List to ensure that you do not have any conflicts. If you are like me, you probably want to check out many of the other awesome mods for kotor 2. These mods install differently than the others we have looked at thus far. While it is best to always read the description and follow the authors instructions there is really three main ways to install mods for kotor 2 that I will quickly outline now. The headers link to videos on the topics that are under 2 min long. If you are curious it will only take 90 seconds to see how it is done. Override mods These mods will come in a .zip or .rar archive. Use a tool like WinRar or 7Zip to extract the files into a folder. Drag the contents of the folder (NOT the folder itself) into the "Override" folder located in your Kotor 2 directory XNView override This method is identical to an override installation; it is often used for texture mods that have flipped textures. If you installed a mod via override and the textures look weird: Use XNVeiw. Extract the mod onto your desktop using 7Zip. Open the folder using XnView and select all of the files. Click batch process. Set the output directory to your override folder and set the filetype to TGA. Set the overwrite to replace. Then press go. After that the textures should work properly. TSL Patcher Unlike what the name suggests the TSL patcher is a tool for installing mods for Kotor and Kotor 2. It is preferable to use the patcher instead of copying a mod's files to the Override, since the Patcher can merge most files. Simply click the TSLpatcher.exe and set the directory to your Kotor 2 directory. It is still important to read all the directions put forth by mod authors but these instructions should help you if you run into trouble. Before installing any mods make sure you read the description and ensure that there are no incompatibilities and/or conflicts.

Hi all! Most of us think that Bastila is the most appealing character in KotOR and understandably so, cause her face model is one of the most sophisticated female heads I've seen in KotOR. So I was thinking, let's kick her look up a notch with a little bounty hunter style, so she can look more badass. There are two looks to choose from, considering her Dark Side transitions... With veins and without them, I don't think I need to explain that any further. Installation instructions are in the Readme file and on the main screen of the TSLPatcher. As for the bugs; there's only one, which I couldn't fix and couldn't find about anything on it, except that it cannot be fixed... The bug is only visible on the Carachter Generation Screen, however and nowhere else. So even if you encounter this bug, which would happen offen, click "Play" without any worries, cause in-game it'll show up just fine, always.
  13. Would anyone be willing to make a Mara Jade's Lightsaber for Kotor 2? I finally convinced my girlfriend to do a Kotor 2 playthrough after 3 years of bugging, and she wants to use the Mara Jade head on here in conjunction with her Saber.
  14. Hello! I had a problem and I was hoping someone here might be able to help me. As my first attempt at modding, I was working on a small model edit and things were going pretty smoothly. However, once I actually loaded the model in game, it's stuck with no animations. I used MDLops for converting the model and used Blender for the editing. I'm not entirely sure at which stage the problem is. I tried to be careful and only really touch what I was trying to change. I've tried looking for an answer but haven't had any luck. Any help would be much appreciated!

<<<TSL Tactical Combat Mod>>> by Frykas <<About>> If you ever felt that after lvl 15 in KotOR 2, your PC and team got all powerful (Fredon's Nadd tomb being the exception) and pazaak with Atton on (Republic Senat's rules) was more fun than slaying couple more thugs or beasts than this mod is for you. After playing a lot of Pillars of Eternity, I realized that TSL had nearly the same potential for tactical fights but after less than half the game you had to be counter productive to have a fight that lasts more than 4 seconds. Honestly most times I didn't have time to use more than two force buffs because everyone was already dead. Difficulty changes only enemy damage output so it makes things harder but enemies still drop like flies. This mod aims (and will aim, definitely not finished) to correct that. <<Changes>> Files changed are classes.2da, autobalance.2da and k_sp1_force.ncs; autobalance has significantly increased NPC's health, slightly buffed saving throws, set NPC's level to be equal to PC. Classes.2da doubled gained health (on lvlup) by PC and team and raised force point gain (on lvlup) by 50%. !!!Because of game mechanics, increased health points and force poins gain doesnt work retroactively, meaning you'll have to start a new game (as even KSE cannot change your vitality poins directly), this will probably NOT be "fixed" in future releases. Enemy HP and other changes will apply once you enter new area after installing. <<Compatibility>> This mod works with TSLRCM and is being tested and developed to work with it. If you don't have TSLRCM instaled changes might not be appropriate for your playthrough. This mod should work with any other mod that doesn't change those files: Classes.2da, Autobalance.2da, k_sp1_force.ncs ADITIONAL FILE: dialog.tlk included in this download goes to the main folder and not override. It should be comatible with the TSl RCM game but any mod that changes dialog.tlk might not be compatible and will require testing. My file includes modified force powers descriptions to account for extended duration. <<Install>> Drop files to Override (who doesn't like that? ) Dialog.tlk goes to main install folder and make sure to back it up lest you have to reinstall main game and mods. <<Uninstall>> Well, this is going to be difficult... (remove Classes.2da, Autobalance.2da and k_sp1_force.ncs from Override folder, replace dialog.tlk with backed up version if you used it) <<Future changes>> -A lot more testing and figuring out the perfect balance -If you have an idea for more changes or would like to help with this leave a comment or PM me. All the best!

  18. Please. Current Kotor 1 female heads just aren't doing it for me right now. Checked TSL's heads out of curiosity and bam, turns out this one is perfect. I've spent the last hour or two looking for either the knowledge or the finished job but came up short. Apparently porting only just became allowed relatively recently. I would MASSIVELY appreciate this one way or another.
  19. I'm trying to install kotor 2 from an external disk drive but every time I try to open it, it comes up with this
  20. I am copying this from the post I made on the Kotor Subreddit: So I am at the rebuilt Jedi enclave, there have been no game breaking bugs up to this point. The cutscenes start happen normally, the scene with Tobin and Kreia sitting down. But when I walk to the Masters, the cutscenes doesn't start, and I can't talk to any of the Masters. I can talk to Kreia, but then it starts a cutscene where I kill the Masters and Kreia starts the DS dialogue. I haven't tested if this forces the dark side ending to trigger yet, but if it doesn't, I can ignore this bug. The mods I have installed that I think might be interfering are Partyswap and Extended Enclave, but I have the patches for that. I heard that having Force Fashion II and Kreia's Extended Robe mod can cause issues, but they never caused any noticeable trouble in past playthroughs. I use the GOG version of the game, I can't recall the version from memory. From memory I have TSLRCM, high level force powers, SLM, force fashion, full force mod, tomb of azdath n'dul, recruit Atris, Korriban expanded, m4-78, Partyswap, extended enclave, Kreia assorted robes collection, force fashion II, Those are the big ones, then there are the texture mods and a few tweaks on world's other than Dantooine. What could be the issue, and is it possible to use Kotor Tool or a similar program to patch the problem myself? I don't want to reinstall the game, but I will if I have to...
  21. I was wondering if there is anyway to bring over voice clips of Jaesa, Kira, and Meetra (if she had any?) to use as combat dialogue for female characters in K1 and K2? Voice clips that could be used for things like taking too much damage, unlocking of failing to unlock doors, or just general grunts and taunts that can be used in conjunction with Darth Parametric's head mods.
  22. Does anyone have (or have any interest in making) a saber blade/color mod that makes the blade colors of Lightsabers more closely resemble how they appear in SWTOR? Preferably for TSL, but perhaps for both games if possible. In my opinion, Marius Fett's mod from 6 years ago ( ) is still the best looking color-wise that I can find, and has been in my override since then. But it's been 6 years, and I'm looking for something new to keep my play throughs fresh.

  25. This was something that popped up in the Pazaak Posting group on Facebook the other day. Theoretically, can locations from Kotor 1 (say Marka Ragnos' and Tulak Horde's tombs as was the example there) be ported over and played in Kotor 2?
