Coauthored with oldflash. Now available for KotOR I, a mere thirteen years after the original TSL release, thanks to the magic of MDLEdit. This mod adds a whole set of new short lightsabres - one for each lightsabre colour available in the game, and their crystals to the game. They can be found by the workbench in the Enclave on Dantooine, but only after you leave the Enclave for the first time after becoming a Jedi. The box is spawned when you speak to the droid at the exit from the Enclave and it says “The Council has decreed you may come and go as you please” for the first time. For the mod to work, you need to have not been to Dantooine yet, or at least, not undergone Jedi training. Installation Just double-click on the "Install "Fork" Short Lightsabres" icon to begin the installation. Do not attempt manual installation - it will not work. Don't worry about fiddling with the Source Scripts or Screenshots folders - they are not required for the mod to run. Known Conflicts As far as I know, this mod shouldn't conflict with many that are out there, but will conflict with any mod which alters the file dan13_jdroid.dlg. So far as I am aware, the only mod to alter that file was a robe mod which is no longer available, so this issue shouldn’t arise. Known Bugs None that I know of at present. Again, please let me know if you find any.

Name: [K1] Yavin IV Planet Mod Author: MotOR Squad + Master Zionosis Translator: ĐeceptiKain TSLPatcher: EGJason Date: 05/03/08 E-Mail: masterzionosis@hotmail.co.uk Contents: 1 Description 2 Installation 3 Uninstallation 4 Future Releases 5 Bugs 6 Adknowledgements 7 Permissions 8 Website 9 Spoilers -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 Description --------------- This mod will add an entire new planet to KotOR I, Yavin IV. They're are 10 new modules in total and a great new storyline. 2 Installation ----------------- Simply run the new installer. If you also want the MotOR Yavin launcher copy the Launcher folder to your KotOR directory. 3 Uninstallation ----------------- Just remove all these files from the relevent folders in your K1 directory. 4 Future Releases -------------------- -Voice Overs for non alien species Of course if there is any bugs or errors these will be assessed as well. 5 Bugs ------ None that i know of, if you find any PM me at Holowan Labs please. There is, however, the issues that crop up with other mods installed, most notably with Brotherhood Of Shadow. This patcher version may correct some issues with that, but probably not all. I reccomend that you install Yavin IV first, then Brotherhood Of Shadow. 6 Adknowledgements ------------------ A massive thanks to the original creators of the Yavin mod (MotOR) and allowing me to translate the mod. A boatload of thanks to Fred Tetra for creating the awesome and simple to use kotor editing tool. Also thank you ĐeceptiKain for your excellent work on the translations, without you this wouldn't have happened. And a very appreciative thanks to the many friendly and informative people at the Lucasforums Holowan Laboratories board who have shown and or helped me to learn how to do stuff like this. And another thank you to EGJason who got the mod to TSLPatcher state. 7 Permissions ------------------- This mod may only be used/modified with my consent. 8 Website ------------------- Visit my website to see what other mods I have created and what I will be doing in the future. http://masterzionosiskotorsite.com 9 Spoilers ------------------- There are quite a few puzzles, riddles and secrets in the mod, many that made me even think that the mod was 'broken', well I have play tested the entire mod and after going through the messy process of decompiling certain scripts I found out that the mod does work properly. To complete certain things you will have to concentrate considerably on what you have recently done or aquired. If you do get completely stuck consult this table below -The door that does not open in Exar Kun's Tomb in the Chamber Of Spirits is actually a mirage, you can walk through it after you have aquired the crystal of darkness. -The most tricky part of the mod is the door puzzle, it is completeable but quite tricky to get your head round, it took me about 30 mins to figure it out, so if you figure it out straight away then maybe I'm just stupid. But here is the combination if you get stuck: Open door 5, then open door 3, kill the spirits, then go back and open door 4, then door 1 will be open. These are the only tricky parts I can remember, if you find any more don't hesitate to ask in the project thread at Lucasforums.
  3. View File KotOR1 - Improved AI Improves the AI of KotOR 1. Changes: - Companions and most other NPCs use blaster feats (except droids their animations are buggy) - Enemy forceusers now use Force Breach and Lightsaber Throw (previously the AI ignored these force powers completely) - Enemy forceusers now use force buffs more often (Force Speed, Force Armor ect...) - NPCs with the Force Jump feat actually do force jumps if they are further than 10m from the target - Enemys reactivate shields after 200s - Some minor bug fixes - Jedi Support AI reworked If you upgrade from version 1.0.3 or earlier delete all files with .utc file extension from your Override folder that were included in those versions. 9. Can someone please reskin/retexture the Echani Fiber armor to look like these files? I've tried it myself and nothing I did worked. ia_class4_015.tga PFBC15.tga PMBC15.tga
  10. I've found the files and the icon I want for a reskin/retexture of the Echani Fiber Armor found on Taris. But I can't simply place them into my override folder because I'm also using Efixian's Taris Arena Changes. The icon and files that I found are from SpaceAlex's Unfinished K1 Enhancement Project. What do I do now? I'm thinking I would need TSL Patcher to make a mod for this, but that may not be the case. I've never modded before, so this would be my first. Help would be appreciated! ia_class4_008.tga PFBC08.tga PMBC08.tga
  11. View File K1 Clothing Pack A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic Author: N-DReW25 1.1.0 Release Date: 12.12.2023 Installation: Please install the K1 Community Patch FIRST before this mod! If you plan on using it, install the Unofficial K1CP Tweak Pack mod SECOND! (The Tweak Pack is optional and is NOT required for this mod to work. Do NOT install "Fixed Male 01 Clothing" or "K1 Outcast Clothing Fix" from this mod as these fixes are included in THIS mod!) If you want to use it, install the Restored Content for K1CP mod BEFORE this mod. Make sure you install the NPC Diversity Pack mod BEFORE this mod in its entirety for best results! Once you're ready to install the mod, simply click on this mod's TSLPatcher.exe and you'll be faced two options. This mod comes in 2 parts, and since these parts are optional you'll be given two installation options. The "K2 to K1 Clothing Install" shall install the ported K2 clothing component of the pack whilst the "K1EP Clothing Install" shall install the K1EP component of the mod, for more details on these installations please refer to the "Description" section of this readme. Click which install you'd like to install, click install, sit back and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic. Once the installer has finished, click the INSTALL.exe again and repeat this process. Description: In terms of commoner clothing, Obsidian added various new outfits for their NPCs in Kotor 2. The default 'potato sack' outfit was given a stylish facelift, the bloodied Outcast outfit was replaced with the Refugee outfits we see today and on Telos we saw the introduction of a new noble outfit. This mod will port those Kotor 2 clothing textures to Kotor 1... but with a twist! The Kotor 1 Community Patch does the same thing as Obsidian did, it replaced K1's 'potato sack' outfit "N_CommM01" with Kotor 2's default outfit and Gendar's bloodied Outcast outfit "N_CommM07" was replaced with an Refugee outfit. This mod won't do that, instead, K1's 'potato sack' and K2's default clothing shall be two different outfits NPCs can wear. The removal of the clothing replacement is most pronounced in the Outcast village where almost every NPC now wears a Refugee outfit instead of the K1 bloodied Outcast outfit... except for the Outcasts infected with the Rakghoul disease, their clothing shall still use the K1 bloodied Outcast outfit texture. This mod shall also add the K2 noble outfit, but even this outfit has a twist of its own! In K2, the male noble outfit was blue whilst the female noble outfit was purple... in this mod, you will find 2 noble outfits across the galaxy: a blue male and female noble outfit and a purple male and female outfit. In the latest 1.1 update, I've added the new clothing from the K1 Enhancement Pack modder's resource. This will come in the form of an alternative installation which will work great with the previous K2 to K1 Clothing component. In addition to the K1EP clothing, I've added compatibility for the latest update of the Restored Content for K1CP Demo, if you have that mod installed the new clothing added in this mod shall be gloveless as they are in that mod. If you aren't familiar with any of the above mentioned outfits, please check the screenshots on the mod page so you'll know whether or not this mod is for you. Known Bugs: This mod shouldn't have bugs, but if there feel free to report it to me on Deadlystream. Incompatibilities: Please report any incompatibilities! Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission. Thanks to: Bioware: For such an amazing game! Obsidian: For such an amazing sequel and for making the K2 textures! SpaceAlex: For releasing the K1EP as a modder's resource! Fred Tetra: For Kotor Tool! Stoffee: For TSLPatcher! 12. View File K1 MP3 Player Description This mod is based on a K1 mod released by HouseOfAmon in about 2006, and now largely forgotten. It allows you to play your own music in-game, through a device called Music Player. Activating this device allows you to play one of 25 tracks of your own, or to return to playing the game's default music. It will do this via a dialogue menu. I've made a couple of improvements over the original: 1) This mod allows you to use 25 tracks, instead of 20; 2) This mod allows you to reset to the game's default music whenever you want, using the 'Play local radio' option (n.b.: 'Known Bugs', below). You can cheat the item into the game using the code 'giveitem di_mp3' without the quotation marks, or you can get it in game from your footlocker on the Endar Spire. Installation Installation of this mod comes in two parts. 1) Use the TSLPatcher .exe included to install the base mod (i.e., double click 'Install TSL MP3 Player', then click 'install mod', etc.) 2) Adding your tracks to the game: i. Select up to 25 tracks that you have on your computer. These *must* be in MP3 format. ii. Copy the tracks to a new folder. iii. Rename these copies Track1.mp3, Track2.mp3 ... etc., up to Track25.mp3 iv. Copy the renamed files to your StreamMusic folder inside the base game folder. Uninstallation 1. Delete the new tracks you added to your StreamMusic folder. 2. Delete the following files from your Override folder: di_mp3.ncs di_mp3.uti di_mp3p.dlg di_mp3p_1.ncs di_mp3p_2.ncs di_mp3p_3.ncs di_mp3p_4.ncs di_mp3p_5.ncs di_mp3p_6.ncs di_mp3p_7.ncs di_mp3p_8.ncs di_mp3p_9.ncs di_mp3p_10.ncs di_mp3p_11.ncs di_mp3p_12.ncs di_mp3p_13.ncs di_mp3p_14.ncs di_mp3p_15.ncs di_mp3p_16.ncs di_mp3p_17.ncs di_mp3p_18.ncs di_mp3p_19.ncs di_mp3p_20.ncs di_mp3p_21.ncs di_mp3p_22.ncs di_mp3p_23.ncs di_mp3p_24.ncs di_mp3p_25.ncs di_mp3r.ncs k_pend_traskdl40.ncs k_petd40_o.ncs 3. If TSLPatcher created a backup folder during install in the same folder as the tslpatchdata folder, you can copy the following files backed up there, and use them to overwrite the copies in the Override folder: ambientmusic.2da globalcat.2da spells.2da However, it is advised that you do NOT do this unless absolutely necessary, as these files are used in a lot of other mods. Known Bugs and Incompatibilities Pressing the 'Play local radio' button may cause the game to play the default area battle music when you're not in combat. It should return to the normal mode area music once this finishes playing, though. This mod alters a (very small) part of the introductory dialogue with Trask on the Endar Spire, so it may not work with mods which do the same (such as mods allowing you to play as a Jedi from the start). Credits and Thanks HouseOfAmon for the original mod this is based off - it was a great idea! Submitter InSidious Submitted 02/22/2023 Category Mods K1R Compatible Yes
  13. View File K1 Movie-Style Dark Side Transitions K1 Movie-Style Dark Side Transitions 3.0 Background: This is a part of a larger upscale project for a set of mods that was released in the early days of KOTOR modding by the iconic ShemL. Here in 2023, with the abundance of upscale work being done on many of the game's textures, I found some of my favorite mods to be left behind with it's original textures which did not seem to mesh well with modern wide-screen play. I decided to upscale this mod along with some others that I do plan on releasing for public use. All files have been 4x'ed in size with the goal of increasing the quality and pixel density of the images to be more in line with the upscaled texture mods we see today. (Think Ultimate Character Overhaul by ShiningRedHD.) All credit goes to Shem, the previous author for all of the hard work and originality. I will note, I have included two of my own personal edits to one of the male heads. Included in a separate folder. I hope the community enjoys this revival as much as I have. With Shem authorizing the use of his assets in other creations, be on the lookout for other upscaling projects from me in the future. For others that want to use Shem's assets, or question whether or not this should be done, please visit this reddit comment detailing his permission regarding the use of his work in other releases. https://www.reddit.com/r/kotor/comments/11p0me0/looking_to_contact_shem_an_inactive_mod_author/ Installation Instructions: Drag and drop .tga files into override. This mod adds 22 new models for your eye candy pleasure. All of the weapons are integrated into the game as seamlessly as possible. Many of the models are just straight replacements for the characters original weapons some are completely new. It's your job to find out which are which ;). I tried to keep the weapons balanced, some may even be a little under powered, but since I don't know which path you take through the game I kept them as close to the weapons that are found in the area. Only a few of the weapons have new stats most are the same was the originals. Section I: Installation Instructions To install this mod simply begin the installation and navigate to your SWKotOR root folder and hit the “ok” button. The Patcher is set to automatically back up any files that it modifies in your override. Pay close attention to the install log for warnings and errors. It is very likely that this mod will include the same files that may have been used by other modders. To install the Patches unzip the 2 files labeled “Upgrades”, and copy/paste to overwrite the files already located in the Override folder. Section II: UnInstallation Instructions To uninstall this mod you will need to delete all the files that belong to WotOR from the Override directory. the easiest way to find all of this mods files is to Copy them from the extracted archive and and paste them into override and overwrite all files, this will select all of the files used by WotOR and allow you to right click one of the highlighted files and choose delete(to delete all the files selected). Then find the Backup folder the the patcher created and restore the backups of the files that you originally had in Override before installing WotOR. Section III: Possible Mod conflicts The most likely conflicts you will find if any, will be with the .utc(character files). This strength stat is almost completely useless, since HK is unable to wield melee weapons. So I have swapped his Constitution and Strength base stats, which should (hopefully) make him a bit more viable as a companion. Installation Double-click 'Install [K1] HK Stats Rework' and use the installer as intended. Uninstallation Remove p_hk47.utc from your Override folder. If TSLPatcher saved a previous version of this file to the backup folder, copy the version in the backup folder into your Override folder. [K1] Temple Main Floor - Missing Lamps Fix Lights are always nice in a dark places. Though it'd be nicer to know where it came from... What Happened? Inside the Temple Main Floor, there are rooms with source of lights that comes from nowhere. I was terrified... thought at first they're missing the GIT reference for the placeables, appears they're not, as they're not placeables. With second thought, perhaps they're missing their render flag? Again, no lamp meshes with the room model as pointed by DarthParametric. Apparently, they are missing their lamps which caused by missing references for the objects. In essence, the lamp is not part of the room model nor a placeable, instead a reference model called by the room's. What Does This Mod Do? This mod adds the missing reference for the lamps to four of the rooms inside the Temple Main Floor module. Optionally, it can also readjust the facing point of two Rune Covered Pillars inside one of the room, which I think could improve the aesthetics and immersion that's missing from the original setup. Here's a before-and-after screenshots of what this mod mainly does - And the optional that readjust the pillars' facing point - What Can You Do? There's always room for improvements; reviews, critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks are much appreciated. PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and using this mod. What You Should Do? For best experience with the game itself, I suggest you to have KOTOR 1 Community Patch installed. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: run the installer and choose INSTALL option, then hit the [Install Mod ->] button! Uninstallation: remove these files from the Override folder - m44aa_04a.mdl m44aa_04a.mdx m44aa_05a.mdl m44aa_05a.mdx m44aa_15a.mdl m44aa_15a.mdx m44aa_17a.mdl m44aa_17a.mdx Compatibility: will not be compatible with mods that edits and/or replace the relevant models, also mods that possibly changes the module layouts/LYT The mod can be installed anytime - anywhere as the game's progress, and will have direct effect instantly It is play-tested with the latest version of KotOR 1 Restoration/K1R and is compatible with it. At the other hand, it was only by far tested with K1:Community Patch/K1CP v1.7, though assets-wise, there's nothing to be conflicted with the 1.8 version Redistribution: you can redistribute this mod or re-release it on any websites, just don't claim it as your own. Though I'd love to provide direct support to my work, which wouldn't be possible if they're scattered in the Unknown Regions. Be advised then, most likely I will not provide ones if I don't know where it re-hosted. If you are to re-use an assets to a project you will be releasing, you don't have to ask for permission - but your generous intention is very much welcome. Inside this mod are resources which can be repurposed for your likings in one condition; please include the unmodified-original sources along with the release of the project. I'd love to know what others are up too, particularly if my work are included. Said and done, give credits to BioWare & LucasArts with the release - as without them this enjoyment would be non-existent. A bit of appreciation to this peasant here is also a very warm welcome, welcome. 22. After using InSidious' most excellent Lightsaber and Force Forms and seeing a K2 exclusive mechanic inserted (nearly) seamlessly into K1, I started thinking: is it possible to add the Prestige classes into the first game?. I know the smaller amount of level ups would not make them as worth wild, but, could it be done?
  23. I wonder if anyone would be interested in making an armor mod based off of the Imperial Knight? Perhaps retexture an existing armor? Maybe change its stats too.

WARNING: 11/29/22 - It appears that the "big" font size category is causing crashes for people attempting to open certain lockboxes in the Taris Undercity. Other sizes, such as "verybig", are unaffected. I will be working to recreate and fix this issue over the weekend. For now, I recommend players either choose a size that isn't "big" or uninstall this mod until the issue is resolved. Sorry for any inconvenience! Have you tried playing KOTOR 1 at high resolution? Then you may have noticed the text does not scale properly. As a result, text can look embarassingly small. Fortunately, this mod contains an assortment of font files that the game can use. They are organized by various sizes with the 3 kinds of text the game uses; they are also interchangeable! Using these files should give players an easier time when playing in high resolutions, customizable to everyone's needs. Hopefully everyone who wishes to play KOTOR 1 in high resolution will have a more enjoyable experience, and that one of the more common problems facing the community has been properly addressed. The attached file is a compressed archive that contains a ReadMe file, and a folder containing each set of fonts. READ THE README FILE BEFORE INSTALLING! The ReadMe contains an important explanation of what each font folder is, and instructions as to how to properly install the mod. Improper installation could lead to very unreadable text! DISCLAIMERS: You will NOT be able to see small numbers, the count of grenades for example, via the HUD. This is a problem with the game itself & how it handles larger text inside smaller HUD elements; I am unable to fix this. The game is simply too old and we don't have access to its source code (yet). This mod is NOT compatible with KOTOR 2 TSL. This mod only exclusively works with KOTOR 1. If you are using the Steam or Mobile versions of KOTOR 2, you shouldn't be experiencing this problem anyways. As far as I know, there are no compatibility issues with other mods. However, if you come across any problems or something not working as intended, please let me know here or via my Discord: Xela#6419 If you are only playing the game at 1080p or less, this mod may not be necessary. Text only stops scaling up to 1080p resolution (as far as I know). It's possible this mod will only cause issues if you play the game at less than 1080p resolution. These fonts were NOT my creation! They were found and extracted from the Russian 🇷🇺 version of KOTOR which inexplicably has larger fonts with a variety of sizes, on top of being able to work in English as well. I was also not the first person to discover these files, that credit belongs to user Drazgar! https://deadlystream.com/profile/44945-drazgar/ I do not claim these files to be my own, I simply uploaded them here to share with the community after not finding them anywhere else.
  25. I know, I know, dev mode - but is there a way to kind of... fudge it in retail mode? I know modding is practically impossible on the new consoles but is it there a way? Could I theoretically use some combination of a file explorer, ftp, USB stick to get the necessary files on my system?
