  1. So I'm currently trying to superimpose sections from two textures that use the same body model to make a custom one. However, it feels like I'm just randomly moving pieces around rather than dividing the parts with precision to place them exactly where they should be onto the other layer. The results aren't horrible, it just feels I'm doing this in the most amateur way possible. It doesn't look bad in-game, but the map is a mess when you compare it to the original ones. Also, some areas of the map don't seem to show up at all, so clearly I'm not reading the texture map right. Is there a way to prevent you from moving/placing the section you want to superimpose beyond the edges of the layer? Part of the issue comes from that, but also being unable to select and replace the areas with care. I'm using the Free Select Tool from Gimp for this, but only with straight lines.

  4. I haven't really seen a tutorial on how to make hair textures for heads, and I am trying to make a mod, but I really don't know how to make that realistic look. I am using the program "GIMP" I will be very grateful for any help.
  5. Does anybody know where I can get a cubemap for a Drexl? I'm working on some textures and I feel that this is the biggest thing missing. I was about to download the Modders' Resource Cubemap Pack but I wanted to make sure first. Plus, I don't have a clue on how to build one myself... Thanks!
  6. Hey guys, what's going on? Today, I want to talk about something a bit different. Now, I'm no artist or anything but I have been working on a project for about three weeks now (Not even close to being finished). I want to know what kind of Star Wars art you yourselves have made? I've been working on this "vector-art" style battle scene. It's been difficult making all of this vector art, getting every single piece of detail. So, what can you guys create or draw about Star Wars? I'd love to see everything, whether you are copying a different work of art and making it your own, or straight from the dome without any guidance with pictures. (I have been using random images off of google images, but have been making them myself into vector art). Leave what you guys can do below! (Try to put the images in a spoiler that way the page doesn't have to load the images every time you look at this page, it can take a while some times.) Again, I'm not near finished, so yeah.
  7. I've been doing some random retexturing, mostly for myself as I get practice. First thing I've been doing is increase all textures to 1200 X 1200. Most re-works I've downloaded ended up being 512 X 512. So...what is the max resolution recommended? My 1200 X 1200 PC looks pretty awesome... Just wondering if it causes issues moving forward...
