A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic Author: N-DReW25 1.3.0 Release Date: 06.04.2022 Installation: This mod requires the K1 Community Patch to work, install this mod first: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1258-kotor-1-community-patch/ Once you have that mod installed, simply click on this mod's TSLPatcher.exe, click install and sit back and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic. Description: Obsidian Entertainment made full use of the Female Republic Soldier assets when developing K2 by using them on the Harbinger, the Sojourn and on Citadel Station as TSF Officers. Despite Bioware being the company who created them, they are mysteriously absent from K1 (unless you consider one or two 2 second long cameo appearances in the background of one of Dodonna's end game cutscenes). This mod will restore Female Republic Soldiers across various locations where male Republic Soldiers can be found, they can be found in the following locations: * Several females are located on the Endar Spire. * Two are on Manaan loading Kolto whilst a 3rd guards Lorgal in his prison cell. * Multiple new females can be seen in the background of Admiral Dodonna's ship at the end of the game. Update 1.3.0 adds brand new English VO for the female Republic Soldiers, whilst the VO was done using AI tech the VO is very (disturbingly) realistic. You can hear this amazing VO on Manaan! Preview of the audio: Recommended Mods: Republican Soldier Woman HD, gives these Female Republic Soldiers a HD reskin: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1870-republican-soldier-woman-hd/ Known Bugs: This mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream. Incompatibilities: Report any unknown incompatibilities to me on Deadlystream.com Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission. Special Thanks to: DarthParametric: For pointing out how version 1.0.0 of this mod was designed for K1CP 1.8 when the current version is 1.9! JCarter426: For sharing a superior TSLPatcher method! EpicStoffer: For pointing out the existence of ElevenLabs! ElevenLabs Website: For providing the most realistic AI VO I've ever heard! Bioware: For such an amazing game! Fred Tetra: For Kotor Tool! Stoffee: For TSLPatcher! Everyone who downloads the mod! This mod replaces the voice overs used for Nikto, Aqualish, Gran, and Quarren NPCs in KOTOR. In KOTOR I, Nikto, Aqualish, Gran, and Quarren NPCs use VOs that are meant for and shared by several other species. KOTOR II fixes this by adding VOs specific to these four species, so I figured hey, why not incorporate them back into the original game? The intention of this mod is to provide a stronger sense of immersion and consistency between the two games, while keeping the affected dialogue true to its intended "feel." A bonus side effect is that the aggressive Nikto VOs make the Black Vulkars seem like an actual threat instead of comic relief. I've included compatibility patches for the KOTOR 1 Community Patch (Queedle Fix), K1 NPC Overhaul, and KOTOR 1 Restoration. Installation & Uninstallation To install this mod, run Installer.exe and select the first option to install the main mod. Then, run the installer again for any of the compatibility patches you may need. It doesn't matter which order you install compatibility patches in. You must have installed the other mods beforehand. To uninstall this mod, delete the files from your game's modules, override, and streamwaves folders (I've included a list of them in the readme.txt). If necessary, restore files from "backup" into your game's directory. Compatibility Compatibility patches have been added for the mods already mentioned due to their common usage. The K1 Restoration Mod has a Nikto NPC in the Vulkar Base sublevel with Basic (English) VOs. I decided to leave this unaltered as to not interfere with the restored content. Known Issues Some of the Nikto VOs don't have perfectly matching mouth animations, which is because KOTOR II has some missing .LIP files. The placeholders I'm using are as close as I could find. These may be replaced in a later version. Redros's mouth doesn't move for a couple of lines of dialogue. This bug happens regardless of this mod and only if his appearance is Nikto, so I felt it's a bug beyond this mod's scope. Please let me know of any other issues you find, or if you come across anything I missed! Credits Fred Tetra, Kotor Tool Fair Strides, KotOR Toolset tk102, DLG Editor & K-GFF Editor JCarter426, SithCodec Thanks to the KOTOR community for keeping these games alive. Disclaimer This mod is not supported by LucasArts, BioWare, or Obsidian Entertainment. It is for personal usage only and intends no copyright infringement. As this mod ports files from KOTOR II to KOTOR I, it's intended for players who already own both games. I do not claim ownership of these ported files. Contact me on DeadlyStream or via Discord (listed on my DS profile) if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or the like. If you want to use this mod as a part of an external work, you must recieve my permission. This mod should only be found on Deadly Stream, no user may upload it to another modding site. If you just want to use the included WAV or LIP files, you're better off extracting them yourself. Not only are they not my property, some of them are renamed duplicates or have been modified otherwise.

  4. View File [K1] Tariga Gender on Tamlen DLG Fix [K1] Tariga Gender on Tamlen DLG Fix This mod will fix the inconsistency with one of the Sith Student/Tamlen dialogue which describe Tariga as a female/she while in fact [by appearance and gender-check] Tariga is a male/he. In dialogue with Tamlen he will describe Tariga as a "he" now. In addition to that, this mod will also change Tamlen's display name to his specific [formerly Sith Student]. Don't worry about the voice-overs inconsistency; this mod takes care of that. It will now heard as "he" instead of "she", in addition to the aforementioned text fix. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With v1.0.0 release I aim to have the mod its standalone LIP, to perfectly incorporate the lip-sync. The current version fits very well with the vanilla LIP in use - though started from the change which is "he" section, there's a fraction of milliseconds differences between the lip and the VO. There's always room for improvements - critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks for the next update are much appreciated - PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: run the installer [TSLPatcher.exe] then hit the [Install Mod ->] button! This will adds new entries to your game's dialog.tlk - where they stored strings of dialogues for the game. If you didn't wish the mod to do so you may want to cancel the installation This only been tested with the English version of the game; it is full working and leave no unwanted bugs whatsoever, so be advised then Uninstallation: run the installer [TSLPatcher.exe], and choose Uninstall option. Also, by keeping the installlog after the installation will help you to track which files goes to where Compatibility: will be compatible with mostly anything that is on the surface by now, though it won't be compatible with mods that share the same scope with it. For assurance of this mod to work, just install this mod much later after every mods has, or try to avoid mods that force-overrides shared content with this mod For this mod to be fully effective you should at least load a saved game before entering the Sith Academy [korr_m35aa] module The mod was play-tested with KotOR 1 Restoration/K1R and K1:Community Patch/K1CP installed and is compatible with them Redistribution: if you want to redistribute the mod - just go with it. Though less likely I will provide supports to any other place than DeadlyStream. And be kindly; give credits to where it's due. If you are to re-use an assets to a project you will be releasing, you don't have to ask for permission - but your generous intention is very much welcome. I'd love to know what others are up too, particularly if my work are included. And then, make sure to credit BioWare & LucasArts with the release - particularly with the inclusion of the assets. An appreciation to this lil' peasant work here is also a very warm welcome, welcome. 7. Quick question - I've been working on some VO recording for droid dialogue and I'm getting to the point now where I'd like to start testing VO volume and quality in-game. What kind of VO filters are generally used for droids? Protocol/sales droids specifically? I'm currently using Audacity to record VO's into MP3 format.
  8. Hey peoplez! Does anybody know how to get the transmission or comlink effect on the VOs, KotOR-style? Looking for tuts, links, suggestions, anything! Thanks!
  9. I'm new to the forum, and thankful for all the work I've enjoyed from all of you. In addition to being a KOTOR enthusiast, I'm also a professional composer/VO/Actor with a studio, so if you're a modder and need either of those things, send me a PM so I can point you to some samples of my work. Thanks again!
