  1. I just downloaded the game on steam with the latest version of the mod. Whenever I activate live video from another room, it just lags and there is no animation. Also on Peragus, after Krea spoke about the room with the mining droids in it, it would just lag and almost not respond at all until I look away from the door. 1. The problem began after playing for the first time. 2. Yes, I have the latest version. 3. Steam 4. The game is updated. 5. It is a fresh installation. 6. The only other mod I have installed is the one with the droid planet with Master Vash on it. 7. It happens whenever you look at another room using live feed from a terminal, or have a vision of the room ahead. The massive lag happens right after Krea's vision on Peragus after you pass the security desk. 8. I have not tried re-downloading the mod. 9. I have tried different save games. 10. I use Windows 10 Pro. The computer specs are: Intel i5 3320M 2.6 GHz, 4Gb of RAM, 64-bit OS
  2. When I fight through Freedon Nadd's tomb on Dxun- the part of the game where the party is made up entirely of non PC members- I can play through it fine up until I reach the gate where you go down into the main chamber and fight the four Sith Lords conducting the dark ritual at the bottom. Right as I pass through the gate, the game crashes, and the Names Differ: w_DblSbr_0011 w_dblsbr_001 error is left inside of my Kotor II folder. Any help would be appreciated. 3. Edit: I guess I need to do more reading and less jumping around asking questions, since by looking at the support topics on the download pages I can plainly see if they have TSLRCM compatibility or not. I rushed into TSL when I got it recently (haven’t played in 2 years, haven’t finished in 10) and installed a bunch of mods I found on reddit. During my playthrough I began discovering tons of other great mods on this site and wanted to know what kind of compatibility issues I’d run into with the ones not listed by Snigaroo. I’m working with a fresh install and TSLRCM 1.8.5 Any information you have regarding the compatibility between the mods in the Unknown Compatibility category and Known to be Compatible categories, and incompatibilities between one mod or the other in either category, will be greatly appreciated. Known to be Compatible from Snigaroo TSLRCM 1.8.5 Extended Enclave TSLRCM Tweak Pack HK 50, HK 51 Reskin Dark Harbinger Kill the Ithorian Kinrath Egg Drop Thorium Charge Mod Workbench Crystal Attunements Prestige Save Fixes New Mandalorian Banner Fix Mandalorian Worn Out Armor Choose Mira or Hanharr Extended Korriban Arrival Peragus Sith Troops to Sith Assassins Sith Assassins - With Lightsabers Bao Dur/Darth Maul Power Cost Correction Improved AI Unknown Compatibility *reported as compatible TSL Improved Party Outfits OR Unique Upgradeable Clothes - which one should I get? 4. File Name: Heavy Weapons Feat Restoration File Submitter: N-DReW25 File Submitted: 17 Mar 2017 File Category: Mods TSLRCM Compatible: Yes A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic II The Sith Lords Author: N-DReW25 Release Date: 17.03.2017 Installation: Double Click the TSLPatcher.exe and let it do its magic Uninstallation: Remove or Delete the "p_baodur.utc", "p_disciple.utc", "p_handmaiden.utc", "p_hk47.utc" and "p_mand.utc". When the TSLPatcher installs the mod correctly it generates a backups folder within the Heavy Weapons Feat Restoration folder that contains the TSLPatcher. Open the backups folder and copy the "baseitems.2da" and "feat.2da" to the override folder overriding the Heavy Weapons Feat Restoration files If you have any problems be sure to contact me for support Description: Kotor 2 is known for a ton of cut content. The TSLRCM restores most of that content but there were some they left behind due to it being not restorable or not necessary. However, if you have sharp eyes you might notice the Heavy Weapons Feats are not in game, instead heavy repeating blasters have the blaster rifle feat instead. This is likely intentional by Obsidian as a heavy repeating blaster is technically a blaster rifle but when I discovered the icons I made it my priority to restore this small bit of cut content that TSLRCM doesn't even mention. WARNING: In the TSLPatcher I had an error message saying "Warning: Invalid column label "File1" encountered! Skipping entry..."! I have no idea what this means but it doesn't look to be too bad in game. If any problems do arise or if you know the reason behind this message please tell me immediately so I can hope to fix it Currently, only Bao Dur, Handmaiden, Disciple, HK-47 and Mandalore have the feats. If you want your main character to have the feats you must give it to them on the level up screen Also, ALL heavy repeating blasters will require this new feat instead of the Blaster Rifle Feat. This means there is a low chance of an NPC having no weapon since it doesn't have the new feat and cannot wield his heavy repeating blaster. If you spot these please let me know so I can fix them Recommendations: I highly recommend using Kainzorus Prime's TSL Fixed Proficiency/Focus Feat mod in conjunction with this one- http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/420-tsl-fixed-proficiencyfocus-feat-icons/ Known Bugs: this mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream. Incompatibilities: The TSLPatcher will make it compatible with nearly any mod...but if you do find an incompatible mod please alert me so I can put it in the readme Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use it in your own mods without my permission Thanks: Bioware for such an amazing game, Fred Tetra for Kotor Tool, Fair Strides for helping me get the Feat to appear on the character creation screen and everyone who downloads the mod. 6. File Name: TSLRCM Icon Fix File Submitter: N-DReW25 File Submitted: 05 Nov 2016 File Category: Skins TSLRCM Compatible: Yes A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic II The Sith Lords Author: N-DReW25 Release Date: 5.11.2016 Installation: This mod requires TSLRCM to be installed FIRST so be sure to download and install it- http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/578-tsl-restored-content-mod/ After you installed it simply copy and Paste or Drag and Drop ALL the files within the "For Override" into your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic 2 override folder It will ask you to overwrite so click yes when it does and it will be installed Uninstallation: Remove or Delete the files from your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic override folder Description: TSLRCM is a mod that restores most of the cut content back into the game. While this mod does do an excellent job at doing so it also comes with a new logo which now reads "Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II THE SITH LORDS RESTORED CONTENT MODIFICATION 1.8.5 (The 1.8.5 bit changes depending on the version you play). That new logo is extremley useful to new players since it lets them know if it's been successfully installed or not but realistically Obsidian never intened for that logo to be in the game so what this mod does is reimplement the old logo back into the TSLRCM game. Known Bugs: this mod shouldn't have bugs but if their is Just PM me on Deadlystream. Incompatibilities: Is incompatiable with anything that edits the main logo Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod Thanks: Bioware for such an amazing game,Fred Tetra for Kotor Tool and everyone who downloads the mod. 7. So Chainz.2da made an amazing mod way back when that would make Kreia's outfit chance according to what you equipped on her. Check it out if you haven't: http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/81-kreias-assorted-robe-collection/ The problem with this mod is that it is not compatible with TSLRCM, because it adds new dialogue, scripts, etc. I've tried tinkering with it (I tried installing it all, but without the the new dlg files or the scripts) to no avail. Does anyone know how to get it working in TSLRCM or know how to make a TSLRCM-compatible version of the mod? Thanks.
  8. It's been literally years since I poked around this forum, so excuse my lack of knowledge of formalities. I'll be short and sweet describing the problem: After having completed nar shadaa on TSLRCM 1.8.4, I decided to go to Dantooine, the *obvious next choice.* Thing is, it always redirects me to the telos academy. When I go to Korriban, the issue does not occur, but if I go to Telos from Nar Shadaa instead, it directs me again to the academy. Furthermore, the academy is exactly like the post Atris talk pre-leaving telos academy, except I can't get into the Ebon Hawk at all. I stand at the ready to provide further info, Thanks again!

At what point did it happen? My problem is in the narr shadda cantina, specifically the cuts scene where atton has to fight the twin suns. I always get to the line where he says it was a bad idea to stay on the ship. Then the game freezes and crashes right there. Before that the zhug brothers froze and burned it right after the sqiud called me to the jak jak taar. 8) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod? did a clean reinstall of everyting 9) Have you tried using a different save game? yes 10) Have you tried starting a new game? no 11) What Operating System do you use? 10. 1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur? Khoonda Miltia fight? Even the first cutscene never happnes 2) Did you install the latest version of the mod? (1.8.4 and 1.2 respectively) I think so. I subscribed the English version of the TSLRCM on the Steam Workshop 3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version? Steam 4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY) Not 4-CD Version 5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file? I think that part is not necessary with the Steam version 6) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.) Canonical Jedi Exile - https://www.google.co.kr/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=7&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjTiduc3P_JAhUEI6YKHRbwANcQFggsMAY&url=http%3A%2F%2Fdeadlystream.com%2Fforum%2Ffiles%2Ffile%2F170-canonical-jedi-exile%2F&usg=AFQjCNE2eduAcOoW0yDDuZM-g5g_z-_AwA I'm not sure that's the final version though, I subscribed that mod on the Steam Workshop also. 7) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen? So, I installed the TSLRCM quite some times later to the game when I began preparing Khoonda miltia for their battle against mercs. Since my game is associated with Steam, I installed the mod via Steam workshop. What keeps happening is, everytime I try to finalize the battle plan, My PC ends up in outside of the building with bunch of miltia soldiers never allowing me to interact with them as if the script with this event does not work. I tried to unsubscribe the mod then, I could pass the event but, I want to experience Khoonda battle with the mod. You know, with extended cut scenes and stuffs. 8) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod? Yes, but it did not work 9) Have you tried using a different save game? No I have not the other saves are too far behind from that moment so..... 10) Have you tried starting a new game? No 11) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.) Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit 12) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen? Yes I can 13) What language is your game set for? English 14) Which language of TSLRCM are you using? English What should I do to fix this?
  11. KOTOR2: TSL ON MAC Step by step guide to make The Sith Lords fully working on your Mac, with Mods and Fixes Introduction(scroll for actual guide) Couple years ago Bioware and Aspyr released a Steam version Mac compatible of Kotor1. The game is working well and i finished with pleasure on my macbook. Unfortunately Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords has not received the same treatment, and in fact it's not available for Mac. But after some research on the internet, I have finally made my Steam version of Kotor2 perfectly working on my mac machine, with complete widescreen support, anti-aliasing and movies. For a complete version of the game i've also installed the TSLRCM (1.8.3) and several other mods. This guide claims to contain all information needed to operate the most important features and fixes you can do on the Windows version, carefully noting that several advices given here are already available on various web sites: what I wanted was just to put together everything I learned (adding some of my own) and share with you all the pleasure to relive the amazing game experience that is Kotor2. So, let's start! What to expectFully working game in widescreen, you can install quite all mods available. Things are not going to work: Frame Buffer Effects (Camera filters for recordings, hologram effects, invisible camouflage), Soft Shadows (although normal shadows and grass actually work), Tricky Anti-Aliasing (Depending on driver used -see below-, you may be able to select only 4x,8x or none at all) Brightness blue tint (as before, it depends on driver used. Most users should not encounter this issue) Any Shader-Graphic effects Mod (Could work with Nvida gpu powered Macs) Personal Hardwdare: MacBookPro 13" mid 2012 NON RETINA (As you can see mine it's not the most powerful mac available, in fact the gpu is an intel 4000 HD, similar to MacBook Air's.)GoG VersionI do not own this version, although some people said that sometimes is going to be more stable than Steam version. Actually the only way to install this game on your Mac trough GoG is to install Paul The Tall's Porting Kit you can find here (go under Gog version) Simply open the program, select Library tab, and search for Star Wars - KotOR2 on the left, and click Download.Steam VersionActually there are two types of software that allows you to install Steam on your Mac: Wineskin, and Crossover. Praising the last one for its immediacy and user friendly configuration, Wineskin seems to be the only working for this particular game. First thing you need is the Kotor 2 Wrapper made by 1Leonard you can find on PortingTeam.com: Link Download and place it on your desktop. Double click on Knights of The Old Republic II.app Click on Advanced, and then Tools Click on Winetricks, and type steam in searchbox. Program is under apps. Check it and click run. Now wineskin will download and install Steam for you. **NOTE**:If you get an error during this operation, there is another way (open spoiler): Install Kotor 2Now that you have installed Steam, the program should launch automatically. If it doesn't, exit Wineskin and open wrapper again (Knigts of the Old Republic II.app). Access with your account, open library, and install your game. Apparently you have to purchase game first . If everything is gone right, whenever you will click on Knights of the Old Republic II.app, Steam will launch, and you just have to select the game, and click play. Game will launch (in 4:3 indeed), movies will show up, and you are able to play without any glitches!!! **Missing texts in Steam application**: check Known Issues section below **Game not launching/Steam won't allow you to play because game is "already running"**: check Known Issues section below.WidescreenThe most important fix you're going to do is Widescreen indeed. I learned these steps from Xuul youtube video Link Here revisited for Mac. Overwrite swkotor2.exe First thing you need is this file This File from widescreenforum by Squ1zZy. You need only swkotor2.exe file. Copy it, throw the rest. Go to Knights of the old Republic 2 directory. This folder is crucial for installing any mod or fix you want, so here how to find it: Right click on wrapper (Knights of the old Republic II.app) and click show package content. Here you will find 3 files. One is Wineskin, which we have just used before to install the Steam software, one si Contents (we are not going to use it), and an alias to drive_c. This folder correspond to C: main hard drive of a windows pc. Open it. Now as using windows, go to the kotor2 directory: drive_c/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Knights of the old Republic II/ Here you find the original swkotor2.exe. Rename it swkotor2.exe.old, allowing to backup in any moment. Paste squ1zzy’s .exe. Launch the game, go to options and set resolution to 1280x960. Exit game. **1280x960 Resolution not available**: check Known Issues below UniWS Patcher Now you have an executable compatible with UniWS patcher, download it here: Link **NOTE**:As you can see this is a windows program. To run an .exe file you need to open it with Wineskin, so open package content of wrapper then open Wineskin (or just cmd+DownArrow key on wrapper), and select install software. Choose your file and it will simply run as in windows. This method allows you to install any mod and fix you want, TSLRCM included. So at this point all steps are identical to a windows version. The only difference is that your C:\ drive is a folder inside Knight os the Old Republic II.app Launch UniWS with Wineskin, choose Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The sith Lords under "game", set game installation folder as seen above, and set your new resolution. Best solution is to set native resolution of your monitor. In any case you should never go under 785 height value. In my case I set 1280x800. Click Patch. Go in game directory (where you find swkotor2.exe) and open swkotor2.ini. You will probably get an error, so tell mac to open file with TextEdit. Find width and height values under [Display Options] and [Graphic Option] and set them at the same resolution you used in UniWS. Save file. Now game will run in fullscreen widescreen! **Mouse is stuck/Messing with menus and gui**: Check Known Issues below Fixes you may need for Widescreen Widescreen UI Fix by Achilles for unstretched HUD in game (Just follow installation guide, put your files in Override folder inside game directory) This guide for widescreen movies by RenegadeSniper7(You don't need to convert your movie files since Steam version already contains high resolution videos, so jump to step 9 and install HxD as you have done already for UniWS) Installing TSLRCM 1.8.3B and other ModsTo complete your Steam version of Kotor2 you definitely need the Restored Content Mod. At this point, installing this mod is not difficult at all, since you just have to install an .exe file. Download TSLRCM 1.8.3B Open Wineskin (cmd+DownArrow on Knights of the old Republic II.app) and click Install Software Choose Setup Executable and then select TSLRCM 1.8.3B.exe. Follow on screen instructions, and when the installer asks you directory's path, remember to search inside drive_c. Path usually appears like this: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II Launch game and you will see the new main menu logo. Installing M4-78 and other mods with TSLPatcher Installing M4-78 (that came with an executable installer) and all other mods that requires a TSLPatcher installation will just work exactly as TSLRCM. Just open Wineskin, Install software, choose executable, and find directory inside drive_c (Path may change in your computer): Desktop\My Computer\Users\*yourname*\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\ **NOTE**: any issue, bug or glitch of any mod that not interfere with game graphic functions are not caused by the fact you are playing on a mac. Rather should be caused by incompatibility between different mods. Installing mods without TSLPatcher For all mods that requires to overwrite some files in Override folder or Directory folder (New textures, new sounds, new models, new movies...), just follow instructions given and drag files into right folder following the path inside drive_c: Knights of the Old Republic II.app\drive_c\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II Installing KotorTools and KSE If you want to create your own mod you need KotorTools. Forgetcanon made a guide to make it work on Mac through Wine. Link For editing your kotor (1 & 2) save files you can use KSE. This video made by Rece explains how to use it with Wineskin. Known Issues **Missing Texts**: Usually texts in Steam program don't appear at all in your first run. If you got this issue follow this steps: **Game not launching/Steam won't allow you to play because game is "already running"**: **1280x960 Resolution not available**: **Mouse is stuck/messing with menus and gui**: **2x,4x,6x Anti-Aliasing options not available**: **Blue tint appears when launching game**: **Black screen after character creation** I tried to be clear enough for non expert users too, so please tell me if you have any question.
  12. For all of you who are new to Deadlystream, Kotor or perhaps just returning from a life on the run, here is what you have missed in our community over these last couple of months. The ever wonderful Aspyr re-released KotOR 2 on July 21st, 2015 with some very welcome new features. They include: Mac OS 10 Support! Steam Achievements Steam Cloud saves Native Widescreen Resolution support for 4k and 5k monitors Support for controllers Steam Workshop support (though we prefer you stay on Deadlystream for all your modding needs ) Full support for TSLRCM You can read more about the update here and here. If you are intersted in purchasing the steam version of KotOR 2 you can do so here. Mr. Xuul was kind enough to track down an Aspyr employee and ask the important questions for us (like what about us 4-discers), read about it here. TSLRCM was updated to 1.8.4 on July 21, 2015, you can download it here. In the same vein M4-78 was also updated, you can download it here. Our very own Sithspecter and Xuul released a awesome preview of the planet, Sleheyron. You can view it here. The Kotor 1 Restoration 1.0 was released on June 17, 2015. Read more about it and download it here. Fair Strides released the latest version of The Kotor Save Editor. It has been updated to version 3.3.7a and now includes support for Steam Cloud saves. Download it here. As of July 23rd, 2015, Filefront (and by extension kotorfiles) has shutdown permanently with little or no warning, causing a great panic across our community, as many older mods for KotOR suddenly disappeared (though some are still available at the new gamefront site). Thankfully the team here at Deadlystream has put in a lot of time getting permission to put up as many mods here as possible. Take a look at our recent influx of mods over at the Downloads section. To read more about the shutdown of filefront you can do so here. For all you steam fans, Deadlystream now has a steam group, you can join here. It is open to all and there are plans to do group gaming events. The Reddit /r/Kotor subreddit has been abuzz with activity, here are some of the more popular posts from the last couple of weeks; TIL that the actor who voiced G0-T0, Daran Norris, was also the voice of Cosmo on The Fairly Oddparents. So I was cleaning out my bookshelf and found this old guy I waited about two minutes for Canderous to come to me to leave the level. Switched to him to see what was taking so long and got this. Aspyr wants to bring KOTOR 2 to mobile devices, but first they wanna know if we're interested. Please, sign up? Any comments, ideas or concerns about this post, please PM me, all feedback is welcome.
  13. Something that's been bugging me for a while is why the cut sidequest for Lieutenant Yima wasn't restored in TSLRCM. Since it was detailed in the "What's restored in TSLRCM", it must have been real, unlike some other stuff, but I can't find a reason as to why it wasn't restored. According to Wookiepedia (which I'll admit has set me astray before), Team Gizka were also going to leave it unrestored, so I'm just curious as to why nobody seems to want this sidequest.
  14. Bao-Dur's Electromesh Armor View File Bao-Dur's ElectroMesh Armor 2.1 ------------------------------------------------------- Author: Kaidon Jorn Compatible with TSLRCM 1.8.4 Many moons ago this mod was part of HotOR 1.6, and I thought I had lost the .zip folder for it, but it's now found and I can bring it YOU, the player, in this new updated for TSLRCM 1.8.4 version. This mod adds a small quest to have Bao-Dur build his own non-force restrictive armor once he reaches 10th level. The armor itself is a reskin of normal Electromesh Armor I made back in 2012. The quest will have you find some shielding components and a mesh suit on Nar Shadaa so that he may turn them into a powered ElectroMesh suit. It is important that you speak to him when he becomes 10th level and pick up the quest so that you don't find the parts beforehand, which is definately a possibilty. Originally the quest started only after he had become a Jedi Guardian, but I changed it to start earlier so you can get better armor for him that will remain viable throughout your play through. Run the .exe to install ***IMPORTANT*** Version 2.1 fixes Bao-Dur's dialog for normal (non-SLM) installation. 15. I downloaded the Extended Enclave mod, the Extended Carth meeting, and the Alternate Ending, and the instructions say to put the files wherever you like, but when I tried to put it into my Downloads folder, an error occurred. Does anyone know what folder these mods are supposed to go into?
  16. Ok so here's the thing. I started a new game without the restoration mod and all was good apart from an oval bit that would appear in the middle of the screen. If I moved it over my character then you would be able to see through him (I have activated the node and used some cheats as I just wanted a mess around). I then downloaded a mod to skip peragus using the security terminal. I selected the light side options and that Revan was a man (just to see Bastilla) and teleported to the end of peragus amd entered the Ebon Hawk. When I arrived on Telos I noticed that Atton was fully dark so I used the add light side cheat to make him fully lightside and nothing worked. I then installed the restored content mod thinking it would patch the glitch but it didn't. At one point when I earned lightside points through the game he got a little less evil but then when I earned more LS points he went fully evil again. Just to make it even more confusing, if I save the game with Atton fully DS and then load it, he will be as LS as he could be without being fully LS (I.e. he hasn't got the LS bonus). I'm thinking that there is a conflicting file somewhere from the skip peragus mod, but my coding and programming knowledge is nowhere near acceptable to try and sort it myself. Anyone got amy ideas? Help would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks in advance Nick
  17. Does anybody know where I can get a cubemap for a Drexl? I'm working on some textures and I feel that this is the biggest thing missing. I was about to download the Modders' Resource Cubemap Pack but I wanted to make sure first. Plus, I don't have a clue on how to build one myself... Thanks!
  18. Hello again, these are some question concerning Kotor 2, the possibility of Kotor 3, and restored content. Just as some background I've been playing Kotor 2 for about 7 years and in that time and along with readings of the game I've gathered up some questions about the game. Also I'm not a huge fan of star wars so I don't know to much outside of the Kotor series. KOTOR 3? 1. Is it plausible that Kotor 3 may still come out, and If so would it be remotely similar to the other Kotor series? 2. Is there some sort of "historical" preset they would have to follow, either from SWTOR or some other sort of media? in other words, can they just make up stuff about Revan or the Exile in the future? 3. Is Kotor 3 worth making? I believe so, but there is the question of an outdated market, along with would It need a "reboot" of the story, making it too different to almost not even be considered a sequel. KOTOR 2 "spoilers" 1. The term "canon" is used a lot to describe the male exile/Brianna male Disciple female plots, what does that mean? Is there some sort of story Outside of Kotor 2 that describes the events of it? 2. Is Kreia Brianna's Mom? They indirectly hint at this if you put 2 and 2 together but I just need some clarification. 3. What happens to Bao Dur? I've heard he dies helping HK reach the Factory, but nothing in game suggests his death, but Atton does mention there both gone during the Telos battle. Was this originally supposed to be cut content? 4. What are the HK's under HK-47's rule new targets supposed to be, and did HK-47 go "rogue" in a sense? 5. Did Kreia kill the Jedi masters if you go LS, or did she just put them into a unconscious state by draining their force? 6. Did Kreia want the Exile to die? or did she want the exile to kill her? 7. Why would they even give the option to gas your allies! what good would that do? 8. Does Atton go with the exile to join Revan? Because it shows the 2 walking off together at the end, and did T3 go with them? 9. in KOTOR 1, did T3 go with Revan to the unknown regions, and did something happen to him? the holocron T3 shows says something that T3 would and if something "happens" he is supposed to go back to the republic and would find the exile. 10. Is there a way that the Serecco can attack the Exchange on Nar Shaddaa and win? 11. Can Brianna be a dark Jedi, or is that restricted to LS? 12. Were the GenoHaradan a planned feature of Nar Shaddaa and scratched or a alternate route "LS/DS routes" and eventually scratched from the game? 13. Was Nilihus a Character from Kotor 1? I've heard he was also called Carth at one point.
  19. Gratitude and a Nostalgic Review of my first experience with TSLRCM: Last night I completed my second play through of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. However, this was my first time playing with the restored content mod (including the addition of M4-78 EP, my thoughts on the addition of this droid planet are pretty much summed up by the creator’s own reflective review of his work: http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/2312-m4-78-retrospective-review-by-zbyl-the-lead-himself/ ). Words cannot express my gratitude to the modders, creators, and community members who have spent many years crafting the evocative masterpiece that I just completed. The beauty, emotion, pain and philosophy that radiate within this game are riveting and surreal that it is impossible to encapsulate the game’s experience in words. Every decision in this game creates subtle echoes throughout your story. Every companion has a significant purpose and backstory if you take the time to engage with them. It takes the player on a spiritual journey unlike any other game I have ever played. This game has great action with strategic character builds or powers and party interaction. The story is rich with humorous lines such as: “And do not mate with her. Whatever you may feel, whatever urges consume you, do not let them control you, such union would breed... difficulties.” “Just because I saved her doesn't mean I was going to charge up her loading ramp.” But what is most notable is the enveloping dark undertone. This game is mature, melancholic, and almost somber in the profound moments that it creates: “Perhaps you were expecting some surprise, for me to reveal a secret that had eluded you, something that would change your perspective of events, shatter you to your core. There is no great revelation, no great secret. There is only you.” It basks in morally grey areas and is unafraid in leaving unanswered questions in the player’s mind. Ultimately you are left with the decision to alter the course of wounded worlds. Will you heal the rifts of war-torn worlds? “Your command echoes still, General. And I obey, as I did at Malachor V. Now, Malachor V comes to us. And I wish to face it, this last time. I have destroyed planets for you, General. But now, this once, if we could save something in this galaxy... I need to do this, or I will die inside. Like I died at Malachor V. I know you can hear me. I have always known. It is why I followed you. You know where you must go. It calls to you still. And she must be stopped, there, now, or she will bring the screams of Malachor V to the galaxy - just as we carried the echo all this way.” Will you merely be an instrument of vengeance against those who have exiled you and left you wounded? Or, shut yourself out from life completely? “It is such a quiet thing to fall... but far more terrible as to admit it.” This is without a question the best experience I have had as a gamer. The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM) has restored a game that was broken upon release (see http://deadlystream.com/ for details) and transformed it into the archetypical masterpiece it was always meant to be. Other RPGs should be envious of what this game has been able to achieve. Having bought this game three times (Xbox, PC CD-ROM, and Steam versions) I am unabashedly a staunch advocate that everyone should try this game (with the Restored Content Mod) at some point in their life. Even though it was released in 2004, its powerful story, philosophical craftsmanship, and poignant moral dilemmas make the game no less engaging ten years later. Thank you to all of those who made this possible. I only hope others might be able to engage with this dynamic workmanship and come away with similar memorable experiences as I did. Now that you have waded through my sentimental words and nostalgic recollection, I was hoping some might be able to answer some questions I had about the story that still remain: (for clarification I played a Dark-Side Male) [For those who have not played through the game, please be aware that there may be major spoilers after this point] 1) What happened to the wookie Hanharr? I know as a light-sider that Mira and Hanharr duel on the surface of Malachor V. However, as a dark-sider Hanharr never appeared in any of the events on Malachor’s surface. Upon first gaining Hanharr from the depths of the tunnels in Nar Shadaa there was a lot of dramatic build-up with Kreia establishing a life debt with the wookie and somehow he owed her to fulfill some action towards the exile. But nothing ever came of that. Did I just miss something? 2) What happened to Bao-Dur? Upon entering the Trayus Academy you free the Handmaiden, Mandalore, and Visas. However, Bao-Dur is nowhere to be seen except in hologram instructions provided to his remote. If anything those holograms seemed as if a last will. The restored content mod at least cleared up a lot of my confusion regarding the interaction between GO-TO and the remote, but why did Bao-Dur think that destroying Malachor V was a necessity? 3) HK droids suddenly appeared to accompany GOTO on Malachor V’s surface and there was some ambiguous dialogue regarding how they couldn’t fire on HK-47. From the sound of it, it appears that I somehow missed an HK Factory questline (even though I had all possible influence with all of my companions). Throughout the game HK unit encounters were much more frequent than I remember and I always thought it would climax at some moment during the M4-78 planet. However, nothing ever came of that and no mission ever appeared in my quest log to indicate otherwise. What did I miss? 4) Kreia wanted to kill the force. As a dark side user I was confused as to why then should would be content that the exile defeated her. I understand she appreciated the exile because they themselves initially silenced the force instead of embracing it. However, in the end they used it generously in order to defeat Kreia and I wasn’t entirely sure why Kreia would think that the exile had embraced her teachings. Any clarification on this confusion?
  20. Hello, I was dusting off my copy of Kotor 2 in my steam library and decided to play it. I got past peragus and landed on Telos. I then came across this mod and was wondering if it works with pre-existing saves. I just want to know if I have to start a new game in order to see the changes or if I haven't gotten to a part that shows the restored content yet Thanks
  21. Today I am excited to announce; 1.8.3 is released. M4-78EP's update is released. For some background, M4-78EP's release was 1 year and 3 months ago. It has been 1 year and 3 months since TSLRCM 1.8.2 was released. What an exciting few years it has been for us! KoTOR 2 is a little over 9 years old, but the modding community still runs strong. Give KOTOR2 a happy 10th birthday next year, it deserves it! Let me take this time to thank all our followers; All the people who made this possible, who downloaded our mod, gave us feedback and spread word of TSLCRM into the world, all of our fans who voted us 10th in mod of the year 2012 and honorary mod of 2013, and of course all of the fans looking forward to M4-78EP. Once of our proudest moments and maybe the best reward of all is how Chris Avellone (@ChrisAvellone) himself tweeted about our 1.8 release! To reminisce a little, this all started with the usual response to complaints about TSLRP, which was that people should make their own mod, then they could complain. 2 modders, Stoney and Zbyl2 (with help from Jinger and a few others), did just that. TSLRCM was first released to the public on 24 September 2009. The release was version 1.4 and was labeled as a public beta, being a playable mod with few to no game breaking bugs. 1.4 was improved by patches 1.4a, 1.4b, 1.4c, and 1.4d. At this point, animator Savvy30039 decided to contribute her lean animation to the restoration, which was included in 1.4d. On 15 march 2010 was the release of TSLRCM 1.5. A patch to the mod, 1.5a, was released shortly after to resolve some remaining bugs. Between 1.5 and 1.6 the development team was strengthened by Hassat Hunter (previously testing) and Varsity Puppet (previously some minor tweaks, now HK-Factory, Peragus and other areas). On June 24th, 2010, TSLRCM 1.6 was released, featuring various cut scene tweaks, dialog bug fixes and more. On October 16th, 2010, TSLRCM 1.7 was released, which features additional bug-fixes and other additions such as: the Visas-Nihilus movie using the in-game engine to play (rather than a pre-rendered BIK movie), Kreia's Battle for Telos Mod was integrated into the mod, the low-res BIK movies of the Dantooine battle replaced with in- game ones, and an improved dialog.tlk mod integrated/improved upon (for the English version.) Almost a year has passed, but work still continued on 1.8, which is the biggest TSLRCM release yet. It was released on 24 july 2012. On 28 December 2012, after a long period of development, finally M4-78EP saw the light, adding a full grand planet to explore and experience more KOTOR2 gameplay in, and actually talk with Vash herself(alive as well), explaining some critical details about force bonds to the player, meanwhile uncovering the events which took place just before the Exile's arrival. Let's talk TSLRCM 1.8.3. As you can expect with the time it took, its considerable bigger than 1.8.1 and 1.8.2 combined. Don't expect major leaps though, 1.8's done pretty much everything possible to the game, instead 1.8.3 is just fixing all the tiny little snippets of little bugs that dare pop up from time to time. And even though we have been at it quite some time, there apparently are still vanilla issues around only to be found now. Like how messed up all the sound sets on the Ravager were, truthfully I hope after 1.8.3 there will be no need for a 1.8.4. Now let us shift gears to the M4-78EP update; Unlike TSLRCM 1.8.3, this patch is more than that; it is a true update, rather than a bug fixing patch. While many issues have been resolved, most of its development time has been used up on making new content, adding to existing content, and completely overhauling certain endgame cut scenes. While the change list for M4-78EP is quite minor, please understand the KoTOR’s game engine (Odyssey) is quite a pain to mod most of the time, so remember a lot of time and effort went into these changes. This update will also be released today! However, all of this work we have put into TSLRCM and M4-78EP, was not just for us, but for the entire community. We want everyone to experience a fun, full and non-frustrating play through of KoTOR 2. That is why we spent so much time on KoTOR 2 and that is why these updates are dedicated to you, our fans and community. Thank you for all the support these last 5 years, it has been amazing. ~The TSLRCM and M4-78 crew Download TSLRCM 1.8.3 HERE! Download M4-78EP HERE! It's advised to completely re-install The Sith Lords before applying 1.8.3. Afterwards, you can install M4-78EP (patched), then any compatible mods you desire...
