These textures attempt a more realistic style while also adding effects that I don't see altered very often such as Poison. There are several iterations of major textures such as fire and lightning. Lightning has been given multiple colors for those who that matters to. Several of the new textures are large, though nothing over 2k. I may release an alternate version with lower image sizes for lower end PCs and Laptops. Currently none of these textures are animated, but that could change in the future. --------------------------------------- Screens have been added for most textures. Personal preference: Don't use my default fire. The alternate textures are eons better.

A little while ago it struck me - The Dantooine Jedi academy has a workbench, but the Korriban Academy didn't, which can be very inconvenient. In fact, there wasn't one on all Korriban. This mod fixes all that! Now there is a workbench in the little room which leads to the Valley of the Dark Lords. It's just on the left as you come in. The only mod conflict that there might be is if someone else's mod modifies Master Uthar's dialogue.
  3. Would be awesome if someone could make Kylo Ren robes and Mask. Possibly have two mask variants too: hooded and unhooded. I've found a mod for Jedi Academy, would it be possible to use those textures for kotor?

This mod replaces all the saber icons [Mantle of the Force, Heart of the Guardian and Malak's Lightsaber included] with the all new Cool Saber Icons. -= BACKGROUND =- When I switch around the lightsabers on the equip-list menu I had noticed that the blue lightsaber icons wasn't blue enough -- it was more purple than blue for this eyes, so I decided to make it blue, similar to the blade's color. The color of the icons were inspired by JCarter426's "JC's Lightsaber Visual Effects", the K1 version in particular. In the end not only the color that was changed, but the overall style of all the icons as well. -= ABOUT THIS MOD =- Inside this mod are 22 new Cool Saber Icons in TPC format -- covering all the available [saber] icons [including the unobtainable Malak's] in vanilla game. Preview -- As in v2.0.0 the hilts were rendered using VarsityPuppet's "Hi Poly Tin Cans" [ported to K1 by Fallen Guardian] enhanced by DarthParametric's "Alternative Textures". DP did the neat work as well on rendering them for me to repurpose as icons. As for the background bits I used and combined the TOR assets ported and provided by Magnetiicz. -- provided as well user-friendly TGA/DDS/TXI cleaner and mod-uninstaller for convenience purpose. -= FINAL REMARKS =- As it stands now Malak's Lightsaber is unobtainable in-game in a regular way. However, you can use cheat-console then type for giveitem g_w_lghtsbr06 to get one. I planned on allowing players to obtain one in-game sometimes in the future -- probably with the next update. 7. View File [K1] Alignment Fancy Bits This mod adds fancy VFX and SFX alignment change both to the dark side and light side in two available style; TOR and TSL. -= BACKGROUND =- Not much of a background -- just my curiosity fueled with @DarthParametric's invaluable insights and assistance trying something never been done [at least to release stage until this mod was attempted] and documented previously to K1 based on its successors; The Sith Lords and The Old Republic. -= ABOUT THIS MOD =- TOR style -- adds IN-cutscenes VFX and SFX based on TOR's TSL style -- adds POST-cutscenes VFX and SFX based on TSL's TOR style no SFX -- adds ONLY IN-cutscenes VFX based on TOR's TSL style no SFX -- adds ONLY POST-cutscenes VFX based on TSL's * Preview [v1.0.1] -- To its VFX base it's using ported TSL models and texture [for the dark side ones] provided by DarthParametric. As for the SFX, I had them ported from TSL -- originally comes as mus_s_darkshort and mus_s_lightshort. -- provided as well user-friendly uninstaller for convenience purpose. -= KNOWN ISSUES =- TOR style -- at some potential cases [depending on how the cutscenes were set up] the SFX and/or VFX won't show up if the camera/frame far-off from the Player. In SFX's case -- because Players' presence on-screen's needed as they're the medium for the SFX output TSL style -- as using a spawned placeable's OnHeartbeat [which checks for and] to trigger the VFX and SFX for ONLY every ~3 seconds, they will not fired instantly. Delays are to be expected with this one. Also, as I didn't include ratio check to DS and LS gains sometimes you'll see LS status with DS' VFX/SFX and vice-versa. That often happens if there are multiple alignment sets in one continuous cutscenes There are module-specifics scripts that alter the alignment which is outside the scope of this mod -- at least at this current stage. With that in mind sometimes you won't see the mod's working although there are alignment change's happening -= FINAL REMARKS =- There's always room for improvements; reviews, critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks are much appreciated. PM me here, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and using this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! -= INSTALLATION =- Run the installer, pick only one of the available options then hit the [Install Mod ->] button! -= UNINSTALLATION =- Available in the _uninstall folder -- make sure to read the Readme first! -= COMPATIBILITY =- Is NOT compatible with mods that share the provision; doing same thing, same assets etc and/or anything that hard-overwrites 2DAs coming from this mod. -= REDISTRIBUTION =- I'd love to provide direct support to my work, which wouldn't be possible if they're scattered in the Unknown Regions -- so be considerate to not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any websites. He helped me as well with providing some useful information for the uninstaller Sdub for bringing my attention to v1.0.0's game-breaking issue -- hence the mod's update JCarter426 for SithCodec and Odyssey++ -- -- and Inyri Forge for all their awesome work that I look up to. This mod replaces Force Powers' SFXs in the SW:KotOR game with the modded version's SFXs. # Background # To tell the truth, I am pleased with the original Force Powers' SFX but it's just- I want to experience something different- something fresh; and the project was started then. # About this Mod # Inside this version are 7 modded Force Powers' Sound FXs; some based on in-game vanilla assets, and some others are modifications from Shem's "Ultimate Sound Mod"; which he gave permission for anyone whom wants to use the work he have done in a future mod, to just give him credit for what they have used. So, they are: Force Use [v_useforce] - Sound FX produced first when using Force Powers [noticeably heard with Force Cure, Force Heal, Force Armor, Force Aura, and Force Energy Resistance]. Force Lightning [v_pro_lightning] - Sound FX produced when using Force Lightning. Force Death Field [v_pro_deathfeld] - Sound FX produced when using Force Death Field. Force Wave [v_imp_frcwave] - Sound FX produced when using Force Wave. Force Choke [v_imp_choke] - Sound FX produced when using Force Choke. Force Throw Lightsaber [v_throw] - Sound FX produced when using Throw Lightsaber. Force Destroy Droid [v_pro_droidkill] - Sound FX produced when using Force Destroy Droid. This mod can be installed anytime and/or anywhere on the game, and will have direct effect to the game. Shem's Terms of Use: # Final Remarks # I suggest you to install Shem's "Ultimate Sound Mod" [first] along with JCarter426's "JC's K1 Sound Effects" [second], and then sync them with this mod [third]. After all this time, I still believe that Shem's "USM" is still the most enjoyable SFX mod. And later, JCarter426's "K1 SFXs" complete Shem's. And this mod aims to complete the Force Powers' part. Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated- PM me at deadlystream.com [ebmar] or just write a public message on my feed. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: Run the installer [TSLPatcher.exe]. Uninstallation: Run the "Optional: Vanilla Force Powers' SFXs" option from the installer directory. As only for the Force Throw Lightsaber [v_throw], you must uninstall it manually by removing the said file from the 'Override' folder. Compatibility: There are 5 assets that will not compatible with Shem's, they are; Force Choke [v_imp_choke], Force Wave [v_imp_frcwave], Force Destroy Droid [v_pro_droidkill], Force Lightning [v_pro_lightning], and Force Throw Lightsaber [v_throw]. Install this mod after Shem's if you want that change. Redistribution: Do not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any website at all. As inside this mod, there are base assets which they are not belongs to mine. If you plan on using this mod or only the assets from this mod to a mod you will be developing, give credits to Shem, BioWare and LucasArts; as this mod contains their assets. Also, a credits to my name is always a welcome, welcome. Credits: Shem for the collaboration between the "Ultimate Sound Mod" assets with mine's. This mod replace the default voice-over used by the Elder Droids with the Legends rendition. # Background # It was one fine evening when I take a walk inside the Elder's Settlement. I wonder how them droids sounds like, and then... why do they sounded like T3? So I wanted to experience something else, then I remember back in the Ancient Ruins of Dantooine there was a similar droid there that has something different with it. Apparently it was speaking Rakatan's language that the PC did not recognized. I decided that I had to incorporate that with the droid then, hence the making of this mod. # About this Mod # This mod replace the default voice-over used by the Elder Droids with the Legends rendition. The sound was made using an inverted Rakatan's voice-over with added droid-like filters on top of it. By concept it gave an idea that the droids were speaking an epitome of language that the PC did not understand [in Bastila's voice], resulting in addition of changing the spoken line of the droids. It also changes the bubble-bark conversation to a cinematic one. For a distinctive look at what the mod does, here is the preview - # Final Remarks # There's always room for improvements; critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated. PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: run the installer and choose INSTALL option, then hit the [Install Mod ->] button! Uninstallation: Choose the UNINSTALL option in the installation menu Additionally you may want to remove eb_elderdrd_ANGM.wav from the streamwaves folder Compatibility: For maximum compatibility, install this mod at the latter stage of your mod's build Will not be compatible with any mods that hard-overwrite the Elder Settlement/unk_m42aa module Pay attention to the patcher's warning messages upon installing the mod. If it tells you that it found an instance of k_hdroid1_dialog.dlg and unk42_elddroidXYZ.utc in the Override folder, then there might be a compatibility issue indeed For this mod to be fully effective you should at least load a saved game before entering the Elder Settlement [unk_m42aa] module The mod is play-tested with the latest version of KotOR 1 Restoration/K1R and is compatible with it. At the other hand, it was only by far tested with K1:Community Patch/K1CP v1.7, though assets-wise, there's nothing to be conflicted with the 1.8 version Redistribution: do not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any websites. I'd love to provide direct support to my work, which wouldn't be possible if they're scattered in the Unknown Regions. If you are to re-use an assets to a project you will be releasing, you don't have to ask for permission - but your generous intention is very much welcome. I'd love to know what others are up too, particularly if my work are included. And then, make sure to give credits to BioWare & LucasArts with the release - as without them the enjoyment would be non-existent. A bit of appreciation to this lil' peasant work here is also a very warm welcome, welcome. Please note this is a CUSTOM FAN INTERPRETATION of the Revelation cutscene, it is not 100% faithful to the original BIK and features the use of visual mods. File Name: "DV's The Revelation Cutscene Remake V.1" Author: Darth Varkor Works for: Knights of the Old Republic I K1 Restoration Compatibility: Yes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: For a while, I have been thinking about re-creating various BIK cutscenes within the games, not just for my own personal machinima-related use, but to upload for public use as a mod. Now, as I am fairly limited to what I can do (in-game scripting and some basic animation in After Effects) I lack the skills in software such as 3DSMax to fully recreate some cutscenes such as the various ones of the Ebon Hawk taking off and landing on the various worlds. Anyway, I decided to first have a stab at the infamous 'Revelation' cutscene, providing my take on the scene, capturing all footage in-game. The cutscene plays out fairly similiarly to how the original does, but, with some of my own alterations/additions. Any constructive feedback is welcome. Installation: Simply drag the BIK file provided and drop it in the "Movies" folder located within your SWKotOR directory. You should probably make a back-up of the original movie in-case the mod fails to work for whatever reason, or in case you simply prefer the original cutscene. Uninstallation: Remove the BIK file and replace it with the original. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Video demonstration of the mod. This mod adds a new tomb to the Valley of the Dark Lords - the tomb of Azgath N'Dul. You will find it between the tombs of Ajunta Pall and Tulak Hord. A couple of robes will come out funny if you are using oldflash's Final Touch - The Chatos Robes, the Sith Lord Robes and the Robes of Azgath N'Dul. This is because of a model change that mod introduces. They won't crash your game, but they will look a bit odd. This mod adds: ten new robes, three new armours, four new weapons, two weapons I've released separately before, a new belt, a new pair of gloves and a new Force Power, not to mention many other items that can be created by the Force Transmutation Device. I've tried to keep the stats fairly balanced, but that's by my judgment. N.B.: Robes included in this mod may not be compatible with robe mods which you have installed. Please be sure to download kyrie's changes.ini fix before installing this mod (click here), and then the 2.2 patch.

  17. Most have likely seen my questions and work regarding creating a new character for recruit. Many mods use the tag and reference of an existing character in the template/.utc file. I thought this would overwrite the existing character. How do I create recruit function script to replace a character removed from the party by the game? The only instance I can find of this in the game is losing Trask Ulgo on the Endar Spire and adding Bastila Shan. Trask and Bastila use the same character slot on the party select screen. I have looked at most script files, but I need help in finding a way to add the character to replace Bastila after she is captured on the Leviathan. I do not understand tutorials on destroying the original NPC, and the scripting tool will not recognize the path to my current version of KotOR. My character, template n_sarna, name Sarna, tag Sarna021, Template ResRef tar02_sarna021, spawns on Tatooine following asking the Customs Officer "What do I get for my 100 credits?". Sarna carries a Mandalorian Blaster, and I have assigned dialogue with some voice refs, with a node assigned script to recruit her, but I cannot compile recruit script to add the party member, template p_sarna, which adds a version of her wearing armor. I am trying to create new armor, but, currently, she wears Republic soldier armor. Following checking other mods, my scripting tool stated it could not compile, then stated it had the path set to Program Files/LucasArts/SWKotOR, and could not initialize NwnStdLdr. This creates difficulty. I do not know how to change path.
  18. Most tutorials related to adding party members have script for another party member to be replaced. As I have been working to add a party member to, following her capture aboard the Leviathan, replace Bastila, I have been looking at game scripts. I cannot determine if Bastila is truly removed from the party. I must know this, as problems occur if a recruit mod removes a party member that has been removed previously. Further, there are script files that have positions and actions for party members on the Ebon Hawk (k_trg_partyinit.nss, k_pebn_pophawk.ncs). Is there a conditional that would allow me to place my character where Bastila was seated?

  20. I realize I have made similar requests, my first in 2015, but, as it appears my "Recruit Sarna" mod will work, I hoped someone could help modify and retexture armor to give Sarna unique armor. I believe, if the textures for the Republic officer uniform, the Republic soldier uniform, and Sith armor could be applied to the Sith uniform, or if the models can be merged, the uniform would appear similar to Republic armor from the Mandalorian Wars. I have been trying to create this. I attempted to modify the Republic soldier uniform by removing the shoulder guards and applying Republic officer textures, but the color maps differ, and I could not merge the different shoulder pads. Further, the Republic officer coat extends too far down, and the Republic officer uniform appears too bulky. I had problems similar when attempting to modify models for the Female Sith Apprentice and the base clothing for Juhani. Could someone help create this armor for Sarna? I can give more information.
  21. Whenever I extract dialogue to edit for my recruit mod, the text disappears when I attempt to go to the dialogue and edit. This occurred in 2015 and this has occurred when I attempt to check dialogue from other recruit mods. I have pre-recruit/recruit dialogue planned, but my tools fail when I attempt to save dialogue. Can someone help?
  22. View File KotOR Items in TSL It always bothered me that TSL changes textures and stats of weapons from KotOR. I have restored most ranged weapons and some armors. I will try to change more. Put the .uti files in your Override folder to have these items back. Submitter Neville Submitted 05/04/2021 Category Mods TSLRCM Compatible Yes
  23. For the longest time, I have been trying to create a mod that allows recruitment of a female Republic soldier after Bastila's capture. I tried to create a model for a soldier with different armor. I did not get support when I tried to use modified TSF armor because of porting rules. I found an image and noticed Sith armor is similar to Republic armor of the Mandalorian Wars, but altering the helmet and the visor on the model to match the image is difficult. Others were ready to help with dialogue and recruitment, but I could not give dialogue until I knew who I wanted as a new character. Now, I think it would be interesting if Sarna survived Taris, found earlier Republic armor on Tatooine, and will help you against the Sith. I need help.

Well, a year and 3 days ago I created a mod that changed the horrendous gaffi stick texture from a 64x64 monstrosity to a respectable 1024x1024. I also added a unique(ish) texture for the chieftan's gaffi, and modified that gaffi's description a bit to fit with my changes.
  25. I wanted to make a mod which adds a retired mandalorian to the game who sells exotic gear collected in his time as a young warrior on the fringes of the galaxy. The problem? I've never made any mods and have barely any clue what I'm doing. If I could get some help, it would be awesome to create this and possibly more mods in the future.
