  5. I have a few points with KOTOR that I am trying to resolve. First, in the dialogue files such as the one attached below, do you know what Old Hit Check means and what it does? I want to know in case it is something that I might want to deselect. Second, I know on Manaan that you have equip a special diving suit to venture out underwater. Do you know if this can be changed with a mod or is hardwired into the game? I ask because I know there is a mod that allows you to take your party with you so I am hoping that I can keep the armor, headgear, and weapons that I normally have my character wear. Finally I want to know how to change the outfit for Bastilla. What I mean is that after she is taken by Malak and turns to the Dark Side she is shown wearing a black Jedi Robe. I want to know how to change her outfit so she will be wearing what I equip her with when she is in my party. For example, when she joins my party I will equipping her was a Blaster Cannon rather than a lightsaber and the Verpine Zal Alloy Mesh armor rather than robes. I want her to still be carrying, using, and wearing those items during the scene where Malak starts to entice her and when my character encounters her on the Unknown World and Star Forge System. I have edited the appearance.2da file by adding a new line (Line 509) changed the modules lines to the outfit I want. I have attached it here so you can see it. Please tell me if I am wrong anywhere. Now I need to know which columns to edit and how to give her the miscellaneous items and weapon I want. Also I absolutely want her to be wearing a headgear item so which columns do I edit for that. If I need to create new columns for these results how do I do that? Then after I have the appearance.2da file set I will edit the appearance lines in the Bastila.utc files to give the appearance I want. Does that sound right to all of you? Can you please tell me how to do all this? I am willing to take another look but I need to know what I am looking for. Is there another file that I need to be using? Hopefully by looking at them you can tell me where I went wrong. Also I am asking all of you to please check my other forum about editing placeables at the link below. I am having trouble getting a metal-box container to spawn by script, especially in the place I want it to. Perhaps you can tell me what I am doing wrong. These fixes include getting rid of the white box in his mouth, correcting the texture used for his tongue, connecting gaps, enlarging upper/lower teeth, & adjusting the placement of all of the above. As pointed out by JCarter426, Jedi Malak's model also used the wrong supermodel, which I've fixed in this mod as well. All seriousness aside, my intention with this mod was to ensure that Malak's mouth would only remain a disaster post-contact with Revan's lightsaber. Installation & Uninstallation To install this mod, drag the "Override" files to the Override folder located in your game's directory. If prompted, select replace. To uninstall this mod, delete n_jedimalek.mdl & n_jedimalek.mdx from your game's Override folder.   8. I am having trouble with some of the dialogue files for Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic, specifically: “k_sta_darthmalak”, at the moment. The problem is that some lines of text are not appearing in certain dialogue editors. The line that I am specifically looking for is: “I was saved from the darkness, Malak. You can be too, if you wish.”. As you can see in the enclosed image I could easily find that line when I used the Conversation Editor that is built into KOTOR Tool. But when I open it in the Dialogue Editor the line is not available even after I have opened all the options like show orphan lines. I have attached images of the Conversation Editor and Dialogue Editor with the “k_sta_darthmalak” file opened to show what I mean. I ask for help in getting ALL lines to show up. I want to edit dialogue with my own scripts as I am modding the game to extra enjoyment. I may be having the same problem with multiple dialogue files so I want to get it resolved so I can edit the files that I want. Thank you in advance.
  9. Now, don't get me wrong, I like the last few levels of the game just fine. But after over TWENTY times (pathetic I know) it can get just a tad repetitive. So I figured why not a mod that HEAVILY changes the last couple levels in the game? Because I couldn't mod if my life depended on it, that's why. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of new areas, new dialogue (maybe even a new ending?) So here's just a list of things that I would do myself, but can't because I'm not a modder. Warning: Spoiliops Ahead Unknown World Changes -Add Hammerhead Wreck Entrance (around corner by Black Rakatan Tribe) -Add Hammerhead Wreck Interior (basically a darker Endar Spire w/ UW Skyboxes) -Add 1 of 2 Hyperdrive Parts in Hammerhead (second being by Freighter Wreck) -Add Sith outside Temple -Add dialogue option w/ Bastila where Revan explains how he's done with the Light and Dark Side and how Bastila can follow him/her as well. Bastila calls Revan weak, swears allegiance to Malak and flees. -(Lightside Only) Add a part where Revan & his/her Party are captured by the Black Rakata and have a team of party members try to rescue him/her (something like the Goto captures Exile part in KOTOR 2) -Change "Invisible Mandalorian" Quest to where they'll only spawn if you talk to Garn -Change opening fight w/ Rakata by rusted engine -Change Rancor health to make them a bit stronger -Remove Duros survivors -Remove Rancors by Elder Tribe -Remove Plasma Vents Star Forge Changes -Add Health to Bastila in Command Center -Add Health to Star Forge Battle Droids -Add Battle Droids in Deck 2 -Change Malak killing Jedi scene as to where he's on the other side of the room and have a cutscene of Revan running after Malak while he kills the Jedi in the same fashion he does. They talk across the room and Malak activates the generators. While Revan is fighting, he casually walks out. -Change Droid Generator part to where Revan can't disable them in the room and have him fight the droids for a while until it cuts to the party outside the Ebon Hawk w/ the Jedi waiting for Revan. Revan contacts T3 and tells him he and 2 party members of choice have to get to a Computer Console to shut down the factory. The player's party fights their way through an army of droids to the armor generating console and has to shut down the factory with 50 spikes (dropped via the droids). -Change Malak meeting Revan scene in Factory where Malak is on top of the middle ramp looking down at Revan. They talk, Malak twirls his saber and he jumps at Revan. -Change Malak's Health, Strength, Wisdom and Dexterity to make him an actual challenge. -Change Malak fight where instead of having to get rid of the captive Jedi, Revan has to drain Malak's health bar multiple times and each time he does, a cutscene engages. The first is where Malak talks about how Revan continues to amaze him, calls him a fool and talks about how the Star Forge is alive. Instead of saying, "not when I can draw upon the power of all these Jedi" he just says "You cannot beat me Revan. Not here on the Star Forge". So a bit of voice splicing is required. He twirls his lightsaber and they fight again. The second time Revan drains Malak's health, Revan Force Pushes Malak and slashes his metal jaw off. Malak is enraged tells Revan he's tired of this game, uses Force Lightning and tells Revan that he has surpassed them and accomplished what they never could. He talks about how Revan is nothing and how he stand alone and They fight one more time. Malak falls, gives his dying speech and dies. Misc. Changes -If Revan told Bastila that there's no light or dark for him/her anymore, Bastila walks up to Revan in the Factory and Revan talks about how Malak was right about him/her standing alone. The screen fades to black, Revan remembers how Jolee told him that they have the choice as to where they'll take their destiny, Revan and Bastila run out the door and the Star Forge explodes. Instead of cutting to the Celebration on the Unknown World, it cuts to a brand new BIK Movie of Revan (hood and mask) and Bastila in a ship, they look at each other and jump to Hyperspace. Roll credits. Now, I'm not expecting anyone to bow to my whim and make this real. I was just babbling about how I would've liked to have Kotor end. Not everything in here was original, as I had seen some of this in a fan film a couple years back. If anyone actually DOES try to make this happen, that would blow my mind. Still, as a wise hermit told me, you have the choice of which way to take your destiny.

I made an alternative texture for the dark lord. I have long thought, how to give it a more attractive appearance. And I'm very happy with what we got.     I confess. I really like how the character Malak. And I fell in love with it after reading the comic book Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Especially touched when he sacrifices himself for the unfamiliar girl. Malak revealed as heroic, romantic, good-looking young man. We all know what happened to him and made the dark side of the sword Revan. And then Malak lost any hint of attraction. It is not right! I made an alternative texture for the dark lord. I have long thought, how to give it a more attractive appearance. And I'm very happy with what we got. For me it looks manly and attractive, even with the injury suffered.

Info =========== These skins change and unify Malak's Jedi and Sith appearances. The mask, collar, and chest plates retain their shine from default texture, and it's noticeable enough without poking the viewer's eyes out. New eyes were added to the Jedi, Sith and Jawless appearances. The Jedi appearance was designed to resemble the sith outfit, while not taking too many textures from the latter directly. The skins are compatible with TSL, and can be placed in its Override folder to be used with the game. 2. Instalation: ========= Unpack all files from zip and place them in Override folder. If you do not have Override folder, create it in main KotOR or TSL directory. 3. Usage ========= This is mainly intended as replacement skin for Malak, but you can download any disguise item that changes you to him and this skin will be applied to it. 4.
