  1. Dak's Endar Spire Retexture

    Dak's Endar Spire Retexture - A KotOR I Mod

    Description:
This is a retexture of the Endar Spire. All maps are 2k.

    Bugs/Known Issues:
I didn't include a replacement for every texture in the area, so you will still see a few vanilla textures.

    Installation:
Unzip the folder and drop the files into your Override. If you don't have one, make one!

    Permissions:
-You may use these textures in your own mods, so long as you give proper credit.
-You may upload this mod to modding sites if there is no other download link.
-You may NOT use these textures for any other projects.
-The above permissions are applicable to any of my old mods too, regardless of what their readMe's say.

    Enjoy!

    -Dak

  2. Very nice work on the armor. I am still working on getting metal to that exact level of shininess akin to plate armor, and I am quite pleased with the look you've created :D

By the way, if you are interested, a Darth Sapiens both discovered and created custom cubemaps in his mod. http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/498-modders-resource-cubemap-pack/

Huh I didn't know about those, I'll have to test them out before I release this mod. Thanks Malkior!

About the shininess: I didn't really notice a difference in the amount in-game until I reached brighter values. If 100% reflective = an alpha value of 0 (completely black), I didn't see much of a difference until I reached .5 or above (meaning completely black and 50% black looked pretty similar). The values that I settled on in the alpha were about .7-.85, except for the visor which was higher. Hope that helps.

  3. Thanks guys! Hello to some familiar faces as well as some new ones. Glad you're liking the armor, I think I'm pretty much ready to call this one done.

but would it be possible to make some areas shiny (e.g. transparent with assigning a cubemap)?

Yep, good call. I was saving this for the end so I could try to make a fake sort of gloss map that's based off the color. I was kind of successful, but the game's baremetal effect just doesn't look that good. It pretty much seems like an "all or nothing" type of thing that's kinda hard to control. Anyway, here's the latest:

  4. Well hello there, long time no see! Been away for a while now, but lately I've had some free time so I thought it would be fun to pick up some modding again. It's cool to see how the community has changed and how much the quality of the mods have improved!

Anyway I'm just going to be working on character texture stuff. Nothing too crazy :)

I'm starting with Mandalore. It's definitely in progress, but I think it's on the right track. Would love to hear some feedback (sorry the screens are so dark, the Ravager is not the best place to show off textures). What I noticed is that a lot of the details I painted are too high-frequency to show up in-game, so I think I'll increase the size a little to see if it reads better.

    Fun to be back!

Dak's Big Skin Pack v2 [TSL] - ReadMe

    Description:
This mod just skins a ton of NPC's. My goal here was to make some textures look a little more realistic and more appealing to look at. Some changes are drastic while others are subtle.

    Notes:
Mira's new head is OPTIONAL. Her clothing will be installed automatically via TSLPatcher but if you want the new head you must install it manually. The folder is included.
To find out all of the new skins, just look at the screenshots. They're all included.

There are 7 new armors for you to wear. The Mandalorian armors can be won in the battle circle. The Sith trooper armors can be found in loot of dead Sith troops you battle in the Dxun tomb. Unfortunately you'll have to cheat to get the Khoonda armors because I couldn't get them in-game right.
    Cheats are: a_medium_17 and a_medium_19

    Installation:
    Extract the files,
    Just Press Install,
Select your Kotor2 Directory which is located at:
    My Computer>C:>ProgramFiles>LucasArts>SWKotOR2

*If you want Mira's new head, open the folder "Optional Mira Head" and move all of the files inside into your override. Easy as that.

    Credits:
Thank you to FrantFire/GeorgNihilus for scripting the Mandalorian armors in-game.

    Calo Nord's Headgear - ReadMe

    Description:

Adds into the game the headgear that Calo Nord wears: the hat/goggles combo thing that to me is a very distincitve part of Calo.

    Notes:

You'll have to cheat to get this one. Use the giveitem cheat and enter "g_i_mask83" (without quotes).

    Bugs:

The headgear will clip with the hair on some models that have longer hair - sorry, really no way around this. It fits very well on the rest of the models thuogh (as you can see from the screen it looks quite stylish on Carth).

ReadMe - Assassin Droid's Heavy Repeater

    Description:

You know the assassin droid that you meet in the Korriban tomb? You know the gun he has on his back? What this mod does is take that gun and make it a useable weapon!

    Notes:

You'll have to cheat to get the gun. Use the giveitem cheat and type "assdrogun" (without quotes) to get your gun.

The model is untouched, exactly as it is on the droid. I just touched up the skin a little to make it a bit more appealing.

You can use this mod in any of your own mods, but please give me credit for getting the gun in-game.

[TSL] Sith Trooper Replacement Skins - ReadMe

    Description:

I made these skins for my k1 recruitment mod for new enemies that you meet. I figured they would be a nice replacement mod for TSL.
The blue skin will replace the standard Sith trooper while the white/yellow will replace the elite red Sith trooper.

    Installation:

Drop the files into your override folder.

    Permissions:

You can use these skins in your mod if you like, but I expect you to credit me accordingly.

This gives you Captain America's Shield, pistol, and suit to use. Ask Dak Vesser if he has had any interesting finds and then dig them up on Korriban for yourself!

    Installation:

Just drop the files into your override.

    Notes:

To get the items, talk to Dak Vesser. Ask about the valley and them ask if he has found anything interesting in the digs.

Installation: Just drop the files into your override.

    Bugs/Incompatibilites:

Incompatible with other mods that modify Dak Vesser's dialog.

  11. Dak's Armored Robes (2.2)

    View File

    Dak's Armored Robes 2.2 - ReadMe

    Description:
This will add and implement into the game three *brand new* types of models - a "Jedi General Robe", a "Armored Republic Robe", and a "Sith Marauder Robe". The models I have created are a Jedi robe merged with the Republic Officer's uniform, the Republic Armor, and the Ubese Assassin's armor. The Jedi General Robe comes in four variations, the Republic Armor in four, and the Sith Armor in two. Each armor has its own unique icon, stats, and descriptions (as seen in the screenshots). The armors have been implemented into four locations: The Republic Crash site and on the corpse outside the mandalorian cache on Dxun, the Exile's locker on the Harbinger, and onto the corpse of the Sith Master in the Dxun tomb.

    Notes:
-Like I said above, the armors can be found in four places, the Republic crash site (check all the corpses!) and outside the Mandalorian cache. There you will also find a datapad explaining why the items are where they are. They can also be found in the Exile's locker on the Harbinger and in the loot from the corpse of the Sith Master in the Dxun tomb.

-I know the females look weird. The only way I could figure out how to get a working female model was to add the female torso to the male robe, which gave awkward results. It's the best it's going to get, sorry! It does work bug free though so it's better than no female models in my opinion. I got many complaints of a lack of female models in version 1, so I tried to please my critics as best as I could!

    Bugs/Incompatibilities:
-One problem with this mod is that one of my new models takes the slot used for the dancer's outfit. To work around this problem, the dancer's outfit is now a disguise item and will give you the appearance of a Twi'lek dancer. I know it isn't very realistic, but it's the best alternative I could think of.

-Uses some of the same model slots as 90SK's "SUPER Content Mod", so some of his items will show up with my models without skins (It's only the "Jedi Tunic" model as far as I know). I personally play with both mods and it's fine with me. Just install this mod last!

-Uses one of the placeable files as Kuai-Don Jorn's "Heroes of the Old Republic" saber mod, so install HIS mod last. You will have to just use KSE to get the missing robes.

    Changelog from 2.0:
Fixes the crashing issue when the male PC would equip his custom exile robe.

    Installation:
    Extract the files,
    Just Press Install,
Select your Kotor2 Directory which is located at:
    My Computer>C:>ProgramFiles>LucasArts>SWKotOR2
