  1. [TSL] Nar Shaddaa Docks Computer and Monitors Upgrade

    MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 22 NOV 2021
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords

    Description:
    ------------
Don’t you hate unfinished business?  I sure do.

So . . . I was looking over my mods and I realized I had things left to finish. One of the collections that I hadn’t released before I left the staff of DeadlyStream (again!) was a minor texture. These cover the major of the monitors you would see in the Docks section of Nar Shaddaa.  One of the reasons that this wasn’t finished was an error on some of the models that had some lighting issues on them.  However, ebmar made a quick fix and that seems to have done the trick. In keeping with my M.O., I’ve attached a video so you can see a before and after comparison before you decide to download.
With the exception of the NAR_tek1 texture, none of these are animated.

    Installation:
    -------------
Place MDL and MDX into the Override folder. Put all included TGA and TXI files into your KotOR2 Override folder.

    Uninstallation:
    -------------
Take them out again.  To take out specific textures, please refer to the pictures on the download page as they clearly show which ones are which.

    Known Bugs:

    -------------
    None known at this time.

    Special Thanks:
    -------------
Thanks to @ebmar would create that model fix or these textures would’ve never seen the light of day.
Thanks to @Jorak Uln for the frame that surrounds the monitor on texture NAR_tekX.  I recycled portions of that framework on some of the other textures.
Thanks to @N-DReW25 for doing some beta testing and providing helpful feedback towards this project.
And thanks to @DarthParametric for attempting to try and walk me through some of the issues regarding that model.  He wasn’t successful but he did give it the college try!

  2. [TSL] "DAN_tech01" texture replacement

    MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron

    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 24 NOV 2021

GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords

    Description:

    ------------

Still cleaning out the archive . . .

So . . . I was looking over my mods and I realized I had things left to finish. This one was difficult to place in a larger mod as it’s only one little texture so that’s how I’ll package.

Meet the DAN_tech01” texture, in its actual size.

If I recall correctly, it’s found in Khoonda but it may appear elsewhere. I’m sure you’ll let you let me know that in the comments if you encounter it elsewhere.

So it’s small and it’s not the most exciting texture.  With some animation, maybe it could be more interesting.
I give you my take on it, in its actual size.

    Installation:

    -------------

Place TGA and TXI files into your KotOR2 Override folder.

    Uninstallation:

    -------------

    Take them out again.

    Known Bugs:

    -------------

    None known at this time.

    Special Thanks:

    -------------

Thanks to Jorak Uln for the frame that surrounds the monitor on texture “NAR_tekX”, which was included in my “Nar Shaddaa Docks Computer and Monitors Upgrade” mod.  I recycled portions of that framework for this texture.

  3. KotOR2 Polished Crystal Icons Pack

    AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 18 SEP 2022
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2
[This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 as intended. Please use this version designed for KotOR1 instead.]

    Description:
So . . . this is the second part of another mod that I’ve had on my computer/s for some time but I hadn’t gotten around to putting out there to the public. Until now.
This all started out with getting higher resolution icons for crystals in TSL.  Now that I’ve successfully had a decent trial run with the KOTOR1 Polished Crystals Icon Pack, the KotOR2 version is finally ready.  I found source pictures of many crystals over the years and took care to try and match the color, crystal type and - when possible – even the orientation of the crystal to match what you saw in the vanilla game.
From the pictures you’ve (hopefully) seen on the download page, you’ll notice that some of the crystals appear to be duplicated.  That’s how it is handled in the game and it wasn’t an error on my part.
    Installation:
Before you install this mod, go to the Override folder of your KotOR 2 game directory, and check if there are any files with these filenames in your Override folder:
    iw_SbrCrstl_001 iw_SbrCrstl_002 iw_SbrCrstl_003 iw_SbrCrstl_004 iw_SbrCrstl_005 iw_SbrCrstl_006 iw_SbrCrstl_007 iw_SbrCrstl_008 iw_SbrCrstl_009 iw_SbrCrstl_010 iw_SbrCrstl_011 iw_SbrCrstl_012 iw_SbrCrstl_013 iw_SbrCrstl_014 iw_SbrCrstl_015 iw_SbrCrstl_016 iw_SbrCrstl_017 iw_SbrCrstl_018 iw_SbrCrstl_018a iw_SbrCrstl_020 iw_SbrCrstl_021 iw_SbrCrstl_022 iw_SbrCrstl_023 iw_SbrCrstl_024 iw_SbrCrstl_025 iw_SbrCrstl_026 iw_SbrCrstl_027 iw_SbrCrstl_028 iw_SbrCrstl_029 iw_SbrCrstl_030 iw_SbrCrstl_031 iw_SbrCrstl_031a iw_SbrCrstl_032 iw_SbrCrstl_033 iw_SbrCrstl_034 iw_SbrCrstl_035 iw_SbrCrstl_036 iw_SbrCrstl_037 iw_SbrCrstl_038 iw_SbrCrstl_039 iw_SbrCrstl_040 iw_SbrCrstl_041 iw_SbrCrstl_042 iw_SbrCrstl_043 iw_SbrCrstl_044 iw_SbrCrstl_045 iw_SbrCrstl_046 iw_SbrCrstl_047 iw_SbrCrstl_048 iw_SbrCrstl_049
If there already are any files with these filenames in your Override folder, remove them and place them elsewhere. It doesn’t matter if the files that share the file names are in a different file format (like TPC or DDS) – they’ll need to be removed.  Once that is done, then drop the TGA files of my mod into your Override folder.

    Uninstall:
Remove the above listed TGA files from your Override folder.

For those that Beta-Test, I salute you!
Thanks to Leilukin, for beta testing, taking the screenshots featured on the download page, and input on this description!

Thanks to YOU for giving this mod a chance!  Won’t you leave textual feedback on the download page?  And by “textual feedback”, I specifically mean “Please write a review.” (I like to see what I’ve done right , you see…)

  4. Ebon Hawk Cockpit Upgrade [LEH_Scre02]

    MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 04 FEB 2023
GAME: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords

    Description:
This mod collection replaces the LEH_scre02 textures found around the Ebon Hawk include much of the cockpit area, the room with the holoprojector, and other various EH locations. (The older version that was primarily made by Dark Hope will continue will still be available in my other releases in case this mod isn’t to your taste.)
You may be wondering: "Why did this need to be made?  You already animated Dark Hope’s texture so why not stop there?"  Fair questions and I’ll answer it here to save folks from having to ask later.  I do love DH’s LEH_scre02 texture as it’s very neatly designed.  However as it is so neat, it does seem to be veering away from the vanilla aesthetic.  It’s for that reason that inspired me to make my own attempt.
First, I started with an upscale kindly provided to me by ConansHair of the LTA_scre02.tga texture.  This texture - with some exceptions that will become quite apparent - are a slightly higher resolution in the vanilla texture so that’s why it was chosen. I’ve heard this unused texture as “the weird baby version” or “nightmare fuel.”  (Before you ask, they are likely the developer’s babies born during KotOR1’s development.) I recolored the green parts to match LEH_scre02’s blue.

Then there was this portion of the texture (already recolored blue):

It lost a little bit of its shape during upscale, so I decided that now needed work.  I took a portion from my Peragus Medical Monitors and Computer Panel mod and added to blue bars that can be seen in the picture above. Some minor recoloring of the planet as well.
Other things done to the “nightmare fuel” texture:
Added a wireframe of the Ebon Hawk in the standard monitor colors. Of course, animated as usual. Grabbed a top-down view of the EH from a menu and fiddled with it so both sides of the EH would be shown. I then added some subtle (for me, anyway) animations to the two places on the texture it is seen. Copied some knobs from that same menu to replace the ones in the texture. Added new versions of LEDs to cover the misshapen ones from the upscale. I added animations where I deemed it prudent. Replaced three of the monitors with textures that seemed to more closely match the aesthetic. (One of these is animated, the other two are stationary images.) Added tachometer type gauges, animating some of them. Adding animation to that 5 x 4 row of buttons. After all of these were done and looked over for issues by a top-notch beta team, I asked ebmar if he could add “glass overlays” to the monitors.  An overlay free version is also available.
Ebmar was also able to convert the 4K texture into a 2K TPC reducing the file size for everyone.
    Constructive criticism is welcome.
Here’s a video preview of the texture in action.

"Ah ha!" I hear some of you cry.  "But what about this!?!"

"What are those weird overlays on that texture?" you exclaim.  Those have always been present on the model.  And as this a texture mod and not a model mod, you know what the Mod Requests section is for. (So go on now. Scoot.)
    Installation:
For either game – If already present in your Override folder, delete LEH_scre02.tpc, LEH_scre02.tga and LEH_scre02.txi (or move them to your Desktop)
Then after extracting the contents of the 7z file, choose from the Overlay and Non-Overlay folders which TPC file you wish to use for your Ebon Hawk and place it in your Override folder.

    To Uninstall:
Delete LEH_scre02.tpc from your Override folder.

    Known Bugs:
None known at this time. If you do encounter one, please note it on the download page and tag me in the comment.  I’ll see if I can suss out the issue.

  5. Ebon Hawk Cockpit Upgrade (LEH_Scre01) [More Subtle Version]

    MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 25 FEB 2023
GAME: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords

    Description:

This mod replaces the LEH_scre01 textures found around the Ebon Hawk include much of the Ebon Hawk but as best remembered being seen around the Galaxy Map. The previous version will still be available for completists but I consider this version to be the definitive version. This is the “More Subtle” version.  (The “Less Subtle version will be available shortly.)

As before, the Galaxy Map texture is not included in this mod.

You may be wondering: "Why did this need to be made?  Well, it’s the companion piece to my other recent mod “Ebon Hawk Cockpit Upgrade [LEH_Scre02].”  As they’re both on the Ebon Hawk, I should that LEH_scre01 and LEH_scre02 textures should both match. With both textures, you’ll have that opportunity.

First, I started with an upscale kindly provided to me by ConansHair of the LTA_scre01.tga texture.  Then I remade the 3 of the windows over from scratch. As before, all four windows are animated but I didn’t stop there.  I also animated the LED lights and the buttons as well.
After all of these were done and looked over for issues by a top-notch beta team, I asked ebmar if he could add “glass overlays” to the monitors like he did for my recent LEH-Scre02 texture.

    Constructive criticism is welcome.

  6. Ebon Hawk Cockpit Upgrade (LEH_Scre01) [Less Subtle Version]

    MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 22 MAR 2023
GAME: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords

    Description:

This mod replaces the LEH_scre01 textures found around the Ebon Hawk include much of the Ebon Hawk but as best remembered being seen around the Galaxy Map. The previous version will still be available for completists but I consider this version to be the definitive version. This is the “Less Subtle” version.  (The “More Subtle” version is available here.)
As before, the Galaxy Map texture is not included in this mod.
Previously on Battlestar Galactica in the description: When Xarwarz was working on a sample of a monitor texture for the Ebon Hawk back in 2016, I had suggested to him that it could use a bit of animation to liven it up. Towards that end, I asked Quanon if he could render out a frame frames of a wire-frame model of the Ebon Hawk. I added in some sine wave activity and threw in some Aurebesh for good measure. One of the monitors was now animated. (and so on . . . )
Now:  The texture has doubled in size allowing more detail. Only two of Xarwarz’s frames remain from the original texture. Both of those have been AI upscaled, had fresh text placed on them, and have had some extra animation added to them.  The animation on these two frames as in the original – is subtle.  (Well, subtle for me anyway.)
The other two frames have been remade.  One still uses Quanon’s wireframes but since the texture is now larger, I didn’t have to resize his captures nearly as much.  New text was added here as well.  And the other frame is a brand new animation made from scratch.
The texture uses the same background surrounding the monitors as my More Subtle LEH_Scre01. So, if you switch between them, it won’t be a total change up.

    Installation:

For either game – If already present in your Override folder, delete LEH_scre01.tpc, LEH_scre01.tga and LEH_scre01.txi (or move them to your Desktop)
Then after extracting the contents of the 7z file, choose from the Overlay and Non-Overlay folders which TPC file you wish to use for your Ebon Hawk and place it in your Override folder.

    To Uninstall:

Delete LEH_scre01.tpc from your Override folder.

    Known Bugs:

None known at this time. If you do encounter one, please note it on the download page and tag me in the comment.  I’ll see if I can work out out the issue.

  7. KotOR1 T3-M4 Voice Module Upgrade

Here's a new KotOR1 mod of mine.  You’ll probably hate it!

    KotOR1 T3-M4 Voice Module Upgrade

    MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 28 MAY 2023

FOR WHAT GAME: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1

    Description:

T3—M4 will sound a little more like his KotOR2 incarnation with this mod. Hopefully. This mod doesn’t touch the command/combat barks.  It’s just the files that cover his (it’s?) conversations in dialogues.
Just so you know, the barks are the same between both games.  (The only thing different are the file names!)

    Installation:

    1) Follow this path in your KotOR2 install and trace the route of the following….
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic > streamwaves >

    2) In that streamwaves folder, find the following files and move them to your desktop (which will enable you to reinstall the original sounds if you don’t like what’s in this mod):
    n_gendro_coms1.wav
    n_gendro_coms2.wav
    n_gendro_coms3.wav
    n_gendro_haps1.wav
    n_gendro_ques1.wav
    n_gendro_sads1.wav

    3) Place the following files from my mod into the streamwaves folder:
    n_gendro_coms1.wav
    n_gendro_coms2.wav
    n_gendro_coms3.wav
    n_gendro_haps1.wav
    n_gendro_ques1.wav
    n_gendro_sads1.wav

    4) You might note that there are other files with different names that are also present in my mod folder. These were meant as alternate sounds so users could switch them out if they please.  But the primary reason for being was so they could have been used by modders to add extra voice samples that they could direct to in their dialogues. Oh well. You can ignore these files:
    n_gendro_coms4.wav
    n_gendro_coms5.wav
    n_gendro_haps2.wav
    n_gendro_haps3.wav
    n_gendro_ques2.wav
    n_gendro_ques3.wav
    n_gendro_sads2.wav
    n_gendro_sads3.wav

    To Uninstall:

Take the files that you put in step 2 of the install back out again. Return the files of the same name that you placed on your desktop back into the streamwaves folder.

    Known Bugs:

    None known at this time.
    Special Thanks:
To JCarter426: For pointing out exactly where I could find the original sound files that were replaced with my mod.
To Leilukin: For walking me through SithCodec. (Let’s hope I got it right!)
