Oh, Fair Strides, just played through Kashyyyk and Jolee worked flawlessly! Just thought you'd be happy to know. I'll have a full list of minor bugs once I'm finished my playthrough and will properly fill out the form.
-
Just started the Pazaak tourney and HK is still in my party.
-
I can help with the writing, if you need it.
-
Thank you very much for uploading this!
I ran into a bug though. The first time I installed this I ran into the missing Ceeiia bug. Now I reinstalled the complete game installed 1.2, did load an auto save and redid the tournament but now I am stuck at the end of it. I did beat the droid but the quest doesn't seem to advance and the cut scene is bugged. Everyone is lining up but I didn't beat the champ. Unfortunately, there is no way to advance the quest.
Thanks in advance for any help on the matter!
1) After the pazaak turnament
2) yes
3) GOG
4) not neccessary
5) fresh install, twice
6) none/few textures
7) I hope the error is specific enough, if not, I would be happy to provide more information
8) yes, twice (see 5)
9) I tried loading a slightly older save, same result
10) no, but it was a fresh 1.2 game
11) win7 pro
12) no. what launcher?
Currently, the only way to progress past that is to repair the droid. Until they fix that bug and release a new version, that is.

K1R Compatible: YesA Knights of the Old Republic Modification
Revanator
Contact: ethan.wookie@gmail.com OR on the DeadlyStream forumsDescription:
This mod aims to generally improve the power and abilities of the specific loot found on Korriban.
Below is a list of items affected:Silver-Lined Sword
Ajunta Pall's Blade
Vibrosword (the one found in Pall's tomb)
Naga Sadow's Poison Blade
Tulak Hord's Mask
Marka Ragnos' GauntletsAppropriate items were made upgradeable (Marka's Gunatlets and Tulak's Mask aren't
as classes of items normally aren't).I tried to keep these items balanced, while still making them powerful. These are all probably the most
powerful items in the game in their class, for certain applications. Certain classes of PCs or certain
play styles may not find use for the items as much. I also removed the Force alignment restrictions
for all the items listed.Installation:
Copy all .uti files into your override folder.Uninstallation:
Delete said files from override.Compatibilty:
Compaitible with anything that doesn't edit the Korriban tomb loot.Bugs:
None known.Credits:

It only works on modules you haven't visited before. Did you keep that in mind when checking if it works?
Started a new game, every time.

This mod simply doesn't work for me...but it's weird. It never causes the game to crash, it never conflicts with my other mods (visibly, at least), it just doesn't show up in-game...at all. I thought maybe that my other mods were overwriting it, so installed this one last. Still nothing. I uninstalled everything except for TSLRCM and Extended Enclave and tried, still nothing. I'm directing it to the base game folder. Any idea what's up? I have tried redownloading the mod, several times.
-
Male shouldn't be too hard. Couldn't you just use Canderous' standard body model for that?
-
Ooh, very nice.
-
LF helped me early on with some very basic tutorials such as editing utis, editing character's utcs, how to find items in KotOR Tool, etc. For those very new to modding, tutorials such as these could be invaluable.
-
Also, is it just me, or is the hand-to-weapon placement horrendous in TSL? The off hand blasters seem to look especially out of place.
It's not just you. The offhand blaster is notoriously off. It's not bad with a melee weapon though.
-
Did you run the exe from a location outside your KotOR 2 folder, and point it to the game's base folder where the game's exe is located, NOT the override folder?
-
Should be just as easy. Download it, run the installer, and there should be an option for you to change the install path, even if it tries to auto-detect it first.
-
Ok, thanks guys

I am confused about how to get and install the following mods for Steam version:
- TSL RCM
- Hak_Pad
Do I get them through Steam Workshop? How do I install them for Steam Version? Help appreciated

The same way you did it for your 4CD version except the game folder is under:
Program Files (x86)<Steam<steamapps<common<swkotor OR Knights of the Old Republic II (depending on which game it is). Download TSLRCM 1.8.5 from this site, run the installer, point it to the game folder. With the Steam update TSL got a couple years ago, the base installation will create the override folder and there will already be some files in there, even before TSLRCM. After that, just install any and all other mods you have into the override folder. However, if you get a mod with an installer or one that uses TSLPatcher, make sure to point it to the base game directory (swkotor or Knights of the Old Republic II) NOT the override. For mods with just files to copy, drop them into the override folder.
Avoid the Steam Workshop. It'll work fine for the first couple mods you have, but to keep your options open and to ensure that your game runs smoothly, use the downloads from this site instead.
-
Exactly. And yes, it's perfectly safe to edit the .ini file.
-
Sure does. You'll be hard-pressed to find a mod of modding tool that works with something else and not the Steam version. If anything, the Steam version is the easiest. I highly recommend you avoid the Steam Workshop however; good for 1 or 2 mods, but anything beyond that and it'll give you trouble. Use the override.
-
I have the Steam version, so yes, it'll still happen. You can use all those mods and many, many more with Steam.
-
This is a periodical problem I have as well. I don't have a solid solution yet, but if you change the screen background quickly it will usually be a temporary fix. For example, if it's flickering ingame, tap escape to bring up the menu, wait a sec, close it and it should be fine for a while.
I have no idea what causes this and I can't find anything on it. My best guess is it's a widescreen issue.

ERFs<Modules<[module name]_DLG.mod
You can't edit them in KotOR Tool though, you'll need a separate DLG Editor (it can be found in the downloads section of this site). -
Fixed in TSLRCM
-
@Jorak: I think it was in one of the Thrawn books.
-
I know holo windows exist in some of the novels.
-
Yeah, in TSL there are a lot more options. It might be worth looking at where that's coded.
-
Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd be surprised if the function wasn't included in K1. I mean, it seems to me that this is an issue of the script never properly being triggered or not activating the right function, rather than the whole thing just completely missing.
Could be wrong though. I haven't looked it at myself. So much is there for them though I'd be surprised if nothing was complete on the script end.

I don't believe you can on Malachor, but in the Telos Academy when you return after Kreia kills the Masters you start in the Hawk and run around the Academy until you meet up with Atris.
