  1. I can't, I've deleted it a while ago.

But you could get to that point, where the bug appears, by installing TSLRCM 1.8.3B and the overhaul and getting the savegame pack, Sith Holocron mentioned, and select a save where you're at Malachor V with the remote or a save on Mal V close to that part.

  2. Oh, I see... I'll start a new game, then. And this save shall be deleted.

I made sure that every backup file is saved and I'll never delete them. :D

I'm pretty sure that there won't be any game-breaking things in this playthrough, though.

Thank you all for your time and helpful advice and thoughts. Malachor V remote issue, solved. Case closed. :D

Except for the G0T0 mod itself, and I'm still wondering, what could be the problem...

  3. Okay, this is getting ridiculous...
Finally, I got through the cut-scene after activating the 4 consoles. G0t0 came in, then HK arrived, saw the movie where the Ebon Hawk fell from the cliff.... but aaahhh..... Malachor V is a dark and punishing place, indeed and likes to put obstacles between you and your adventures in a technical way. Such as not a stuck, oh no, it brought out that gun before, but instead a nice crash every time, after you see the Ebon Hawk fall down the cliff!  :realmad:

The crash came so immediately after Bao's remote section, that I don't even have to fill another bug/glitch report form, or change the topic's name, cause it came right after that. *sigh* God...

Anyway, if you can bear with me for a while longer... The bug came after I've activated all 4 consoles with Bao's remote. HK came, killed "that one", cutscene with the Ebon Hawk falling down the cliff and crash. Every time. What the hell? :(
I'm using the same mods, listed above, except, of course, the G0t0 Overhaul.

  4. It seems that way, though a bit starnge, to be honest. Still, I've tested it and I got the bug, then I uninstalled the mod and it got fixed. G0T0 came in, and the dialogue was going.

UPDATE (cause, I don't wanna spam much):

    - Having a talk with Darth_Sapiens. He suggested, I should try the mod, but without the g0t0.dlg file. We'll see what happens.

    RESULT:

    - Didn't work, the bug came back.

  5. Then I have to do without. Shame. That mod made G0t0 look a LOT better and a lot more useful. :(
But I think I should make sure that it is the one causing it a hundred percent. Gonna re-install the game, and install only TSLRCM and G0t0 and if the bug persists, then it is. If not, then it's some other mod. Fortunately, I kept my save game, and since I'm with the remote, I doubt it'll crash because of some missing mods and such... I hope.

  6. I fail to see, how the NPC overhaul or the animation fix could be suspected to cause this, however...
If I understand correctly, the problem is, that the dialogue isn't starting, and if I'm correct, none of the above two are modifying dialogue files. But if I remember correctly, G0t0 overhaul does modify dialogue files, so it might be that mod which causes the bug, indeed. If yes, then still I have to re-install the game, bah... :(

  7. No can do. :S
I was suspecting that the G0t0 overhaul was the problem, too. But unfortunately I was so confident in the compatibility and good behavior of the mods I downloaded, that after a while, I found it unnecessary to keep the backup files, mainly cause everything was fine from the beginning right to that point. And the un-installation of the G0t0 overhaul mod requires them, as many others, cause if I just delete the modded files, then the game would be extremely unstable..... I hate where this is going.....

    *taking a deep breath*

Perhaps I uh... should re-install the whole game... again... dammit.  :wallbash:

But if I wanna look at the bright side, I've learned something yet again. Always keep your backups, no matter what, cause disaster can still strike, even when you believe that it absolutely can't.

  8. Oh, alright...

    1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur?
    - On Malachor V, when you take control of Bao-Dur's remote and trying to activate the Mass Shadow Generator, using the consoles scattered throughout the area.
After activating the last console, the cutscene, where Bao-Dur tells you that you did everything, you served well, etc. starts, and after that G0T0 supposed to come in.
Instead, G0T0 doesn't come in and the conversation with him isn't starting. Therefore the game ends the cutscene and I get stuck, wtill controlling the remote and G0T0 just standing outside, unresponsive to anything.

    2) Did you install the latest version of the mod? (1.8.3b and 1.1b respectively)
    - Indeed, I did.

    3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version?
    - I have KotOR Collection.

    4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY)
    ///

    5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file?
    - I have performed a fresh installation.

    6) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!)
    - Wow, pff, well let's see, uh...   TSLRCM 1.8.3B

    I believe that's all.

    7) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen?
    - When I activated the last console with Bao's remote on Malachor V.

    8) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod?
    - Yes, I tried.

    9) Have you tried using a different save game?
    - Yes.

    10) Have you tried starting a new game?
    - After the problem, no.

    11) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.)
    - I am using Windows 8.1 32-Bit.

    12) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen?
    -Yes, I can.

  9. Okay, so I got to Malachor V, and I'm currently at the Mass Shadow Generator sequence with the remote. After I went to all 4 consoles, Bao's hologram pops up, saying that I did everything, etc, etc, and then... nothing happens. The remote stands there in the cutscene for a couple of seconds, Goto doesn't come in and the cutscene ends and I'm still with the remote and the quest is saying that I have one more generator to go, although I did all 4 of them. I guess it's a bug, but it's a real game crashing one. :(
Every mod I've installed, I checked it first to make sure that they are compatible with TSLRCM. So I have no idea what could be wrong. I've Googled it, and didn't found anything, regarding this issue. I've tried reloading a previous save, where I start Malachor, but nothing. I also checked the TSLRCM troubleshooting posted here, but didn't found anything, regarding this. Everything's been fine all the way through from the beginning of the game, and I was glad that there wasn't even a slight bug to interrupt my gameplay. Finally got to Malachor V and I was looking forward to finally finish the game after a long time, again, and the game is flipping me the bird, every time here, no matter what I do. :(

Here's the video of it. Is there a way to solve or skip this? Just please, don't tell me I have to re-install the game....... again. :P

  10. So I was searching for a long time high and low for a solution to enable Frame Buffer Effects in KotOR II, but despite a lot of my attempts at doing so, I was greeted with the "KotOR II has stopped working" window, as soon as I loaded a save game with Frame Buffer enabled, or starting a new one, or enabling it in-game and crash immediately, after leaving the Options menu. BUT, finally I came upon a solution that has worked for me. It's actually two solution "molded" into one, and you don't even need to revert back to older drivers and such. Also, I believe it should work for KotOR I, as well, though I don't have the game to test it, but considering that they work pretty much the same, it probably works for that, as well. So let's see it step by step:

1.- Download the AMD Catalyst 14.4 from here (or anywhere else, really, just be it a legit download)

    LINK: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-catalyst-14-4-whql-%2814-100-april-17%29-download.html

2.- Double click on it, and it'll ask you where to extract the files. Extract it on desktop or anywhere you will find it, easily. After it is done extracting and the installation window pops up, just close it, cause you don't actually wanna install it. You just need the files to be extracted.

3.- Now, open the extracted folder and search or find "atioglxx.dl_" (without the quotes). Once you've found it, copy it into your root folder. (C:\)

4.- Run the command prompt (Logo button + R, and type in "cmd.exe") and go to your root directory. "CD C:\"

5.- Extract the atioglxx.dl_ to the same folder. "EXPAND atioglxx.dl_ C:\atioglxx.dll"

6.- Now copy or cut the atioglxx.dll file and paste into your main KotOR II folder, where your EXE file is located.

7.- Start KotOR II, and enable Frame Buffer Effects, and when you load or start a new game, you'll get a black screen. Just Alt + Tab out and back in, and witness KotOR II in it's full beauty! :D

  11. I've been following the development of this uber-mod, too.

Needless to say, I'm damn curious and can't wait to get a crack of them saberz. :D

As I've read the updates, I'm guessing that there's an enormous amount of work that this required so far and will require.

Keep it up! I think, I can say this with complete certainty that everyone hungers for the fruit of your talent, that is called Duplisaber, as soon as we saw what it's gonna be. Great job! :D

  12. Yes, I've been able to play the game with all graphics settings at max. There is something about a newer CCC version that just causes the game to freeze and crash when loading a game.

Once I rolled back, I was good to go with no issues. I also have Frame Buffer Effects turned ON. What does happen sometimes is when loading from a saved game or sometimes from a loading screen, the screen will be black and you can hear sound; then I just ALT+Tab and it picks it up okay and I'm good to go.

    Interesting...

I'm gonna try to update my drivers first, to see if it's working, if there are any newer versions, and if not, then I'll revert back to the versions you've written down.

It would be nice to play KotOR in it's full beauty, to be honest.

  13. Are you able to play the game, with every setting under the Graphical options, enabled?
Cause my game runs fine on Win 8.1 32-Bit without any difficulties, even without Compatibility settings, IF I disable Frame Buffer.
Which is an option under graphics, so I'm guessing that my current AMD driver just simply goes: "F**k it, I dunno how to handle this. Here... enjoy the desktop, my friend."
Tried everything in CCC, but nothing works. Even tried the atioglxx_dl files thingy, but that didn't fixed the problem, as well.
So by now, I've just accepted that I have to play with Frame Buffer, disabled. Not saying it's a big deal, cause it's better than nothing, but still... It kinda sticks on the back of your head, and I try looking up something to fix it, but besides that atiogl thing, I found nothing about that issue, except: "ATI doesn't like, so deal with it!" in a nutshell.

  14. Of course, makes sense, since they are like any other armor, which you equip!

I will search that section in Kotor Tool diligently, then.

It really needs a retex, cause it looks like it's been thrown in a spin-dryer full of emery paper, then set on maximum and after that, thrown in a bathtub full of bleach for days, then launched up in a glass sphere in orbit around the Sun for a year or two.

  15. Okay, I did a really thorough search and didn't found what I was looking for, so the above written definitely won't happen. :P

So I've decided to make an armor in Kotor Tool and was searching in the "Base Item", when I saw "(Revan Armor)"...
I thought it was the hooded one, with the cape, so I've added stats, a name etc... but no. It's the KotOR I dark Star Forge Robes, but it looked so pale.
I've decided to give it a retexture, but I can't find the .tpc file. I've looked everywhere, but there's not even a small sign that it would be the Star Forge Robes's .tpc file.

So does anyone know, which one is it? Or know of a better way to look for it?
