Installation:
1) Make sure you install my mod first before any other

2) Simply place the ALL the files within the "For Override" Folder into your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic override folder

3) Then place ALL the files within the "For modules" Folder into your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic modules folder

4) Make sure you place all the VO audio in "For Streamwaves" into your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic streamwaves folder

5) Then place the "dialog.tlk" into the Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic folder and overwrite the one currently in there

This is not necessary though if you want the any optional modules simply open the "Optional" folder and copy ALL the files within your desired folder and place them in your override folder

Description:
N-DReW's Gameplay Improvement is a total overhaul mod which reworks a lot of features in the game. Whilst the original lore, textures and game style are in-tact almost every other aspect 
of the game has been reworked and overhauled, from the game feats, player stats and skills, difficulty, loot drops, way items work, new items, a complex NPC Overhaul, ported aspects
from Kotor 2, reworked dialogue, new NPCs, restored content, new content and much, much more.

From the Endar Spire to the Star Forge, you can relive Kotor 1 in a new and immersive way which you have never seen before. 
* The mod retains its vanilla style meaning you won't see any 4K textures beside Low Res textures here
* Relive the nostalgia glory days of the early 2000 mods as many have been repurposed for the K1GI, mods such as the famous Brotherhood of Shadow have been used throughout the game with permission to create a more diverse range of NPCs and Items
* This mod also utilizes modders resources and defunct mod projects with permissions to add more flavour to the Kotor 1 Game, with the NPC Overhaul provided by the defunct K1 Enhancement Pack and the many heads avaliable in the also defunct Revenge of Revan Demo the K1GI provides player with a revolutionary array of NPCs to fill the Galaxt of clones
* Inspired by the Blasters Reloaded mod, the Blaster attack feats have been removed from the levle up menu and are given for free using specific blasters. A Sniper Rifle can give Sniper Attack, a Heavy Repeater can give Rapid Shot and a Pistol can give Power Blast. This new system allows for players to be more creative with their player build allowing for players to focus on a melee build and be able to switch to a Blaster with no worries 
* Similar to blasters, the Blaster Focus, Specialization and Sneak Attack feats have also been removed and can be given for free via a mask item allowing for a freer hand in character builds
* Feats in general have been reworked: Scoundrels get Scoundrels luck and Medium Armor, Scouts get Uncanny Dodge and Light Armor and Soldiers get Toughness and Heavy Armor. Restored the Simple Weapons feat which non-Vibro melee weapons need in order to be wielded
* Certain Party Members have new feats, skills, attributes classes and powers
* HK-47 can now equipt an upgrade to enable him to wield any type of Melee Weapon
* New items from Shields, Sunglasses, Laser Swords and more have been added allowing for more worth while loot drops and merchant gear
* The Tutorial has now been removed and Trask Ulgo the 4th wall destroyer has been replaced by a lore friendly Jedi Commander
* Movie style dark side transitions and effects
* Various cameos from Kotor 2 including Darth Sion and Kaah Ohtok

The Jedi Librarian robes worn by Master Dorak have been replaced with Effix's Lore Keeper robes

Wouldn't this not work Canonically since The Jedi Masters in KOTOR 2 claim that Arren Kae (who is hinted to be Kreia) was thought to have died in The Mandalorian Wars (before KOTOR 1)? It's also mentioned by The Handmaiden that her mother, Arren Kae; died during The Mandalorian Wars (in case you don't think the first sentence is true).

Look through the screenshots, find the picture with Dodonna and you shall see a familiar character hidden yet visible in the background 😉

AHHHHH! I see. I haven't gotten to this part but I can assume that she is a "hidden" figure there since as The Masters say in KOTOR 2, "She is difficult to see.  She is like a shadow".  If so, then this is brilliant.

That is exactly the reason! I am glad you enjoy the idea of it, I was so certain people would hate it.

This is because this mod was started in July 2016, back when I didn't know how to make a TSLPatcher. But the reason why it isn't used now is because as the mod updates I tend to add a bunch of new items, files and 2da entries and much like many other modders on this site I do have a life outside of the K1GI mod alongside the development of other mods so the last thing I want to think about when modding under a tight schedule is "if I modify 50 items and add 20 skins with 20 new 2da entries which apply to 40+ NPCs across the game then I will have to add 71 new lines in the patcher in addition to dealing with the complicated 2da patching process every time I make 1 new update".

 

But... when I do finish the mod and it is no longer a 'Beta' mod this mod shall recieve a TSLRCM/M4-78 style installer and shall receive patches for big mods the players enjoy such as BOSSR and K1R allowing for compatibility between fan favourite mods.

Hello there! I can't seem to get the elevator door leading to the Sith Governor to open. I have the Sith base passcard (I actually have 2 of them for some reason) I'm not sure if T3 is supposed to open it but he can't either. The only other mods I have are high resolution planets so there shouldn't be any compatibility issues causing this.

Ok, so off the top of my head here is how I reworked the Sith Base.


The Sith Patrol and the Party don't give you armor anymore, you get Sith Base Passcards instead which will now open the door to the Sith Base (This is technically restored content as the Sith Party NPCs will now have voiced line of you purchasing a Sith Base Passcard instead of armor. Because you have 'two' I assume I forgot to remove that one Passcard in the Footlocker).

 

The way you unlock the Sith Govenor's Door as of right now is not via the cards but rather you require T3-M4 in your party and you need to unlock the Sith Govenor's Door via a Terminal (As T3 has a 20 in Computer Use it is highly recommended to use him directly as he can just do every option without spending a single spike because as we know he is meant to be this 'advanced hacking droid').

 

I recommend you use the Terminal in the Control Room as the terminals are now arranged 'strongest to weakest' meaning the stronger terminal will have more options for you to hack.

*The Weakest terminal is the Receptionist Terminal which can only be used to view cameras

*The Medium Strength Terminal is the terminal near the medbay which has a few more options

*The strongest is the above mentioned control room, the one near the barracks, this terminal has EVERY option avaliable.

 

The option to unlock the Sith Govenor's Door will ONLY appear with T3-M4 within the party.

I plan to overhaul the Sith Base at some point so the Sith NPCs won't be hostile until you actually open the Sith Govenor's Door, until then all of the Sith NPCs will assume you to be a Sith employee and will actually be willing to talk with you.

Who knows, maybe I'll add an option to buy T3 early so you may get the Sith Codes earlier as doing so won't hurt the game that much.

I'm doing a playthrough with this mod and I'm wondering if you can still enable the player to have Level 2 Scout and Level 18 Consular as a playthrough?

Hello, I am not sure exactly what you mean by this but should you Level your character to Level 2 and not upgrade until one becomes a Jedi you should be able to be a Level 2 Scout and Level 18 Consular during the playthrough.

 

Only two issues which may arise here: 

1) and this is the obvious one but bugs which could prevent further gameplay, these aren't as common as in previous patches and I estimate even if they do exist would be very late game IF you where to encounter them at all.

 

2) currently, I believe XP level requirements have been changed so it 'may' be harder to reach level 20 by the end game without doing absolutely everything you can do. Future patches which make K1R and BOSSR compatible with this mod will go great with this XP system as the extended gameplay means more time for level ups at a much longer pace to compensate for hours of new gameplay.

Just to confirm if you are speaking of K1 Party Leveler by jc2, then yes, it should be compatible with N-Drew25's mod as long as you follow his advice to install this mod first, and then install K1 Party Leveler. The order or installation is important.

I'm not 100% sure if this was from your mod, but I figured I'd bring it to your attention anyway in case someone else went through the same thing.  So I just finished two out of the four planets and went back to Dantoine and talked to Zhar.  A Cinematic occurred with a student and their Master.  Once it completed, I look to my left and I see Master Vrook dead on the Ground.  I wasn't expecting that (though I was not sad since he is my least favorite Jedi in all of Star Wars. Also free Robe). Has this happened to anyone else?

 

Edit: I'm also having issues where I can't get past The Leviathan.  I do the Shoot out to escape but then I crash.

But seriously, that sounds like a problematic bug. I will check it out but can you please list me the additional mods you have installed.

 

And as for the Leviathan, that sounds serious... when you mean 'Shoot out' do you mean the Fighter Turret scene? And again, I will need your mod list to determine the cause of said crash.

Is it safe to assume larger mods such as Ord Mantell and Yavin are a no go at the moment?

I'm assuming retextures are (mostly) safe as you said you didn't really touch anything graphics wise. (High res beams/ fire&ice/ planet retex).

I'm sure I have a lot of other compatibility questions because I love to mod the living hell out of my games.

 That is correct, players will need to wait for compatibility patches for these mods to work with K1GI (Though when that does come around I'm certain Ord Mantell will be first :)).

Textures are mostly safe, you are correct! From what you have just vaguely listed: Force power effects, Fire and Ice and planet retextures are 99.9% compatible. If you are like me and like HD textures I would avoid using the optional Blue Endar Spire texture.

Wow I was not expecting such a quick reply but thanks! I'm glad you are still working on this project after so long. 

We will be watching your career with great interest, as our dear departed Emperor once said.  

I'm just avoided any mods that add content at the moment and just working with skins. I'll sit on the rest of my mods until this gets into it's final form. Speaking of that I had a weird occurrence which may be a bug or it may be a feature. On Taris, I made my way to the cantina, talked to some sith who took me back to their apartment for a party where normally you get the sith uniform. Instead I got the sith base code so I could go inside the base. Which was fun until every corner killed me. I had to cheat in the uniform to get to the lower city.

 

Anyways, so far I love it. Still getting use to the blaster mechanic though.

 

Edit: found the uniforms. but dang that was hard.
