"Ten years ago in 1997, we first saw the planet of Coruscant in the Special Edition of Return of the Jedi. It was only a brief appearance. In 1999, The Phantom Menace came out and we really got a good look at Coruscant and especially the Jedi Temple and the Senate Chambers. It was a city planet and the capital planet of the Republic in Star Wars. Then in the sequel of 2003s game of the year, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, we saw a brief appearance of Coruscant when your PC, the Jedi Exile, watches a video of his/her trial and exile from the Jedi Order that happened ten years earlier. We only got to see the Jedi Council chambers and a brief look outside the windows. Over the last two plus years since TSL came out, people wished that the KOTOR had already included Coruscant in one of their releases, or will include it if there is to be a KOTOR III.

DeathDisco makes his FileFront debut bringing us that wish and he does it for TSL. The author is a veteran KOTOR modder at Holowan Labs who has made his way to putting up his first and his newest KOTOR mod here at FileFront. Hopefully hell send in his older mods to us in the future for some new KOTOR gamers to enjoy!

This mod will definitely be a welcome addition because of the hard work and detail put into it. Since your character is a Jedi, the author has you go to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. There you can receive extra Jedi training, Force Forms, Lightsaber Forms, and practice your blaster bolt deflection skills. There are also new items for you to collect only on Coruscant. Lots of features and surprises the author wants you to figure out by playing the mod.

This mod uses the TSL Patcher for easy installation and possible .2da file merging depending on what mods you have in your personal override folder. You should notice the new planet on the galaxy map on the Ebon Hawk. There is a screenshot showing a visual of that if you need it. Enjoy the mod.

(Original KotORFiles mod review)

This mod adds a new planet to the galaxy map. The Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

Features

his mods create three new areas re-using exiting modules.

1.The Jedi Temple Landing pad.
2.The Jedi Temple itself.
3.The Jedi Council chambers.

You can learn a handful of Jedi power. (Depends on skill/attribute checks)
Learn a bonus Lightsaber form. (Prestige class required)
Learn a bonus Force form. (Prestige class required, excluding Jedi Master/Sith Lord)
Practice your blaster bolt deflection skills.

Acquire high level Jedi related items/upgrades.
Dark Side items also available.

I've added a couple of items I created for previous mods.
I created some new Jedi/Sith items for this mod.
I re-created some K1 items (.uti's only) not available for TSL for this mod.

Some surprises. ;)

Uninstallation

Extract the contents of tsljeditemple.rar.
Run the installer and select your game directory. IE: e:\Program Files\Lucasarts\SWKotOR2
The installer will create backups of files it modified. Save these for un-installation.

Notes

This mod is not currently compatible with any other mods that edit the galaxy map.
This mod adds a lighsaber hilt reskin using model w_lghtsbr_151, which
is compatible with USM and The Masters of the Force Hilt pack.
All source files included in the NSS folder.

Yeah on pc with only restored content mod installed, and yes im using a controller. I sometimes see the icon to target it but cant actually target it. Its very odd cause ive since watched a video of a weapon master doing it just fine.

Try using Key Board and Mouse. I think M4-78EP had a problem like this with controllers, the reason it isn't fixed here is because this is a very old mod released initially in 2006/7 I believe.

Whenever I select the Coruscant icon and travel I never end up there. I always end up on the same planet I was on. I saw no issues in the installation log. Thoughts?

Do you have M4-78 installed?

I'm having significant problems with this mod.  The major one being that it won't even allow me to go to the planet.  It's there, I can see the planet, the jump to hyperspace initiates, and then it just cuts back to the cockpit of the Ebon Hawk.  I'm running the same gender romance mod for the Handmaiden and Disciple, Canderis's Combat suit revisited, TSL High Quality Blasters, M4-78, TSL Restored Content Mod 1.8.5.  Someone Help!

It's the second time I've played Coruscant and is so great as I remembered. It still needs correcting of some minor graphic glitches but they do not diminish the experience nor the story.

I've recalled one thing that the first time I played I did not care too much about. It's a weapon left on the ground in the meditation fountain but nothing can be done with it. Is it some kind of easter egg or an error? It's jst curiosity.

And a thing that I don't remember, the dialogs with Kreia and with the Sith, there is no voice over. It's just text. Is that correct or a bug?

Same here, maybe its conflict? idk. I have a bunch of other added content mod on top of all the texture and sound mod. 🤷

EDIT: pretty sure there is no voice over intended whatsoever. Watched a few YouTube videos and none of them have voice over.

Answering to myself I think that this weapon is a kind of "bait".

Maybe someone could lose some "bonus" if do not get close to it...

There seem to be patches to get this mod to work with the new updated RCM and M4-78. There are mods and patches that make it appear in the galaxy map. I have done each. I have used every combination of them. Yet every time I have tried to use this mod for the past two years, it lets me select it on the galaxy map, does the first two bik film cutscenes for the transition, then it cuts out and plops me back into the Ebon Hawk cockpit without loading up the map or changing location. No matter which planet I try travelling from, I remain on that planet. It is impossible to go to Coruscant.

I typically do very large, heavy modpacks. It's taken me a while to figure out the balance of what to put in and in what order to install. Everything else works fine. It is just this mod. Even when I just put it in with a couple base mods (RCM & M4-78), it still does this.

I loved this mod when it still worked. But now it just doesn't. I'm sure there are others who are experiencing this and simply cannot get it to work, same as me. This mod has not been directly updated in any way since 2016, and it seems to be completely incompatible with other mods currently used and updated consistently. Even with only RCM and M4-78, with the current versions, even using compatibility patches, this mod does not work. It needs to be updated so that it works with the current modded content, as in its current state it is unusable.

@MotleyNerd

If I'm not wrong the last upgrades of M4-78EP are just translations (it's still 1.5 version) and I haven't used yet the very recently updated version of TSLRCM (1.8.6). I have TSL 4 CD's version and in my last Playthrough I used TSLRCM 1.8.5 and M4-78EP 1.5 with the Coruscant MOD without problems. If is not a pre-condition to install a MOD before start a Playthrough, usually I install the MODs just before reach the area they're related with for avoid possible issues when we install several MODs (or just for have an easy way to return to a stable status of the game if there are evident problems).

If you're interested in the order which I installed the Coruscant MOD -and related- you can check the 2nd page of this thread:

https://deadlystream.com/topic/7256-my-playmulti-modthrough/#comments

Anyway you're right, I love this MOD too and I think that deserves upgrade it, above all if becomes incompatible with other major and popular MODs.

@Obi Wan Pere

I read through the whole journey. Very impressive. I don't use all the same mods, but a large chunk of them are the same. That said, order of installation is different, as well as when I install (all from the start, which I'll admit takes several hours). Also the number of mods. I have a fairly high-end computer, so everything runs pretty smoothly, so number of mods (outside of compatibility issues in the past) is not an issue. And if you're wondering the number of mods... including bugfixes that overwrite out of date fixes in the Community Patch, there are 147 separate mods currently installed.

Yes, I'm truly a madman.

The biggest difference is that my computer has no disk drive, and I lost my old disk copies long ago. I use the Steam version, though I install everything manually instead of using the Workshop. It's taken me a long time to get to this point, and there could still be issues, but so far I've only hit a couple noticeable graphical bugs, all of which are either negligible or have been fixed. There's also a random clone of my character with a different head that appeared after training Bao-Dur that is just permanently in the workbench room, just standing... watching... waiting... which is harmless and hilarious. Steam version with manual installations has also inspired spastic saving, as there are random errors every now and then and the game just crashes. Nothing really gamebreaking, as they don't seem to have a pattern; they just happen on occasion. This could be the number of mods, it could be the fact that I'm not using the Workshop, or the Steam version could just be like that (even without mods, I've has some recurring issues with the Steam version). Again, saving often has saved me great heartache, and it's probably a habit I should carry over to other games as well.

The only major issue that I've had has been this Coruscant bug. Might be that is simply doesn't work with Steam version on manual install anymore. I could probably check out to see if the GOG version has similar issues (it's been on sale lately, only $2.43, just got it a couple days ago), as well as Steam using Workshop. It may not be an issue with these versions. That said, having tested it on Steam manual install, this mod, even with all the compatibility stuff done, simply does not work.

Either way, even if it is just this version and method that presents an issue, there hasn't been an official update to this mod for a very long time. It absolutely deserves one, even if it means another mod author has to pick it up.

I cannot assure it and by here there are several persons that know a lot more than me about that platform and some compatibility issues but I think you have said the magic word ...Steam.

I agree, keeping in mind credits and permissions of the original authors if necessary, even it could be worked as a MOD ...of a MOD, an external update file maybe.

PS: Have you tried "warping" to Coruscant?

I haven't ever used warping, outside of the old warpbands from gamefront/filefront back when I still had the disk version of the game. Over 11 years ago, actually. I was a but a wee boy back then. But yeah, outside of other mods, I do not know how warping works or how to do it.

Actually, bringing up ye old days of my early teenage years brings to mind an old mod that may still be compatible with current stuff. Another big Force power expansion mod, separate from High Level Force Powers. It had powers like Sith Alchemy, Spear of Midnight Black, and Deadly Glance. It disappeared when filefront went down years ago. Do you (or anyone else) know what mod I'm talking about or where to find it? It was one of my favorites.

Hi again @MotleyNerd

I mentioned "warp" for to check if you are able to "be" in Coruscant planet or you cannot either and the compatibility issue is just travelling there. Even... Coruscant is not related with any quest nor the storyline of TSL so I think there is nothing that could be broken later on (if there aren't more unnoticed incompatibility issues). If you're able to warp there you should be able to play all Coruscant and, if needed, warp again for get out of the planet.

I'm sorry but I don't know the MOD you're talking about. I've only used (and was the 1st time) High Level Force Powers and I have to say that I loved it.

(I PM you)

I'm having an issue where I can't get into the storage room. I get this screen instead (see attached pic). Has anyone else had this issue? Can it be fixed? Or is this a mod conflict?

tr_leave_ehawk.ncs I believe caused an issue where all the global booleans reset on Telos so revisiting the station acts like I was never there (i.e. Grenn coming to arrest me, Sullustan infront of bar with mercs, Black market dealer brother still behind his counter with dialogue saying hes comfortable in his jail cell)

@deathdiscoi love this mod. It is quite fun. One thing that i feel is needed is presence of more Republic Soldiers patrolling the area. I am using the Call_of_aid 1.2 mod to position NPCs on key locations which i feel they need to be placed . Im not a modder and have no knowledge about how to edit maps etc, i wish there were more NPCs populating the map since it is , after all, the heart of the Republic Government. Here are some screenshots. Keep in mind im playing it on my mobile. Please someone add more friendly NPCs (Republic Soldiers, Diplomats, etc). This map really feels empty. Thank you.
