The EbonHawk-HDTP R1

About This File

Feel free to edit and reuse the textures. No need to contact me for any permissions (for distributing or editing these files).

HDTP will provide a huge boost in visual quality in-game but it does have some missing details here and there. Some details were intentionally removed because I wanted EbonHawk to have a smooth metallic look like the droids do in SW universe (but the ships don't, so yeah).

There are also some color/glass tweaks for computer display panels (obvious in screenshots) to make them look like LCD panels and increased specularity on ship surface to give the ship a droid-like metallic look compared to the vanilla textures (you can remove the increased specularity for vanilla look).

What's New in Version R1

Released

  • - This HDTP will NOT change the color scheme for Ebon Hawk drastically.
  • - This HDTP will NOT turn the textures into uber-realistic versions.
  • - This HDTP will NOT turn the textures into some cartoony otherworldy.. things.
  • - This HDTP is NOT a simple resize of textures with sharpness and grain applied.
  • - This HDTP, at the moment, does NOT change the exterior texture for the ship.
  • - This HDTP 'tries' to preserve the original art style by Obsidian.

This is filed as a mod for KotOR 1, yet the readme and screenshots are telling us it's for TSL. Does this work for both, or is it filed in the wrong place?

I like a lot!!

Perhaps the ground and the walls glow too much and / or with excessive reflections of light for my taste but it's a great work.

Besides, I've installed this MOD first and after I've combined it with https://deadlystream.com/files/file/282-ebon-hawk-texture-enhancement by Fallen Guardian (based in .tga files as well). Some of the files coincide the name so you have to choose which one you like the most.

The result is amazing

You can try with removing the "CM_Baremetal" that came along with this mod, and let the game use its own specularity [default CM_Baremetal]. It works on my end, and I like the result! 😁

Thanks for the tip!!

I was testing just now and the floor looks much better... but now I can see through the walls of the Hawk, I can see most of the light sources, thresholds, the bed in medical cabin looking from the main deck, even the exterior of the Hawk.

I think I will stay with my -it really seems- recently rubbed and waxed ground and surfaces... :innocent:

Haha! Oh my, sorry... my bad! 🤪

Yes, that is certain to happen 'cause I have forgotten that the mod does not include the .txi's files it needed.

Alternatively, if you wish; as a token of my apology, I attached some .txis that I hope could be useful to you if you wish to unsee the "recently rubbed and waxed ground and surfaces" looks of your ship.

.txis:

Just unzip the archive, copy-all and then paste-overwrite [if necessary] all the files to the 'Override' folder. I do really hopin' that helps!

Glad to hear about the good news! No worries, your pleasure was mine too. I am here to only provide assistance for this mod which looks like it haven't get any support for a while.

Anyways, thank @desmasic for this amazing mod. I am pleased to have it too in my 'Override' folder.
