About This File

1. Description:

----------

This is an improved version of the Carth audience.

*Restored the option to deny Carth an audience.

*Additional changes based on developer notes.

*Bug fixes and tweaks to this scene to make it run smoothly.

Female Revan version

This mod scene:

2. Install:

----------

(It is highly recommended that you update your game to version 2.10 (the 1.0b update) before installing this mod.) TSLRCM 1.8.3 Required

This is a mod for TSLRCM, it will not work otherwise. So have that installed.

To install, extract the Main Patch folder to anywhere you like, as long as it is not the SWKotOR2 folder. Simply run 'install.exe' from within the "Main Patch" folder.

3. Uninstall:

----------

There has been a backup made of the modified files, within a folder titled 'backup' in the 'Main Patch" folder. Simply copy the 205TEL.mod into your Modules folder, 205TEL_loc.mod into lips folder and you will have reverted to TSLRCM 1.8.3

4. Bugs:

----------

This has been tested several times to make sure nothing weird happens. If you find anything, let me know.

5. Thanks:

----------

Thanks go the entire TSLRCM team, your work has been outstanding.

In your changelog, you state that you made "Additional changes based on developer notes." What exactly are they? I just wanted to know exactly what you changed in these scenes (male and female Exiles) to know why I should download this.

Video better shows the difference. But i will try to clarify.

"Additional changes based on developer notes." What exactly are they?

First scene:

TSLRCM
The player walks into the room, Carth looks at player. Then turns to the window. Aftes several lines he turns to player again.

This Mod
The player walks into the room, shows Carth staring out the window; he doesn't turn to face the player, just keeps staring out the window. After several lines he turns to player.

Ending scene:
TSLRCM
Carth says his last line. Then the exile leaves, quietly, without another sound.
Carth {looks at exile and says} "Safe journey, exile."

This Mod
Carth says his last line. There is a pause between the two of them, Carth staring out the window, then the exile leaves, quietly, without another sound.
Carth {after the door closes.} "Safe journey, exile."

Hey I have steam version installed which is v2.2 I believe, then installed TSLRCM 1.8.2. My progress with the game is quite far now. Can I install this mod?

Yes, you can. There shouldn't be any problem.

I keep encountering an error as I attempt to install this mod:

 • Adding file 221carthend054.lip to the lips\205TEL_loc.mod archive...
 • Adding file 221carthend055.lip to the lips\205TEL_loc.mod archive...
 • Adding file 221carthend056.lip to the lips\205TEL_loc.mod archive...
 • Error: Unhandled exception: Access violation at address 00003934. Read of address 00003934 (0)

This is with only TSLRCM and M478EP installed. Could the mod possibly be installed by simply putting the files into the override directory, skipping the installer altogether, or do files like these not work that way? I realize that I'd miss out on the benefits of using the installer, but if that's what it takes for me to get it to work...

I thank you in advance for your help.

I decided to try the manual override installation idea, and it seems to have worked just fine. The scene played out exactly as you described, and even if it is such a small thing, it really made a difference. Brilliant work and thank you so much for sharing it with us!

Okay, scratch that. Standard copy/paste install of this causes Residential Module 082 West to disappear (once loaded, it's completely empty of objects and NPC's; only the base textures appear). The file 204tel.git seems to be the culprit, since the area loads normally after I remove said file. Could this file be the one messing up the installer, as well? What does it do? :)

It contains "Grenn position fix". Necessary only for widescreen users. 204tel.git should be installed in .mod file, otherwise it will not work correctly.

You can copy other files in override folder without any trouble.

I'm having the following error:

 • Installation started 4/23/2022 21:27:11...
 • Installing unmodified files...
 • Replacing file carthend.dlg in the Modules\205TEL.mod archive...
 • Replacing file a_carth.ncs in the Modules\205TEL.mod archive...
 • Adding file 221carthend054.lip to the lips\205TEL_loc.mod archive...
 • Adding file 221carthend055.lip to the lips\205TEL_loc.mod archive...
 • Adding file 221carthend056.lip to the lips\205TEL_loc.mod archive...
 • Error: Unhandled exception: Access violation at address 40470070. Read of address 40470070 (0)

In addition to this being a different address than Kindo, i can't seem to find the prior offender, 204tel.git. Is it still in the file?
