Misc Information:

Spoiler

In TSL Loot and Immersion Upgrade, I have revised all the appearance items in the game, and added quite a few new armors and robes.

  • If you are playing for the first time, please start a New Game to fully play the features of this mod.

Armor designs and culture is largely intact, item descriptions and icons have been filled out, and I tried to hide new items all over the game.

  • You will receive an Exile item on the Harbinger, and you will also encounter new models and skins for old items throughout the game.
  • Additional items have been created and placed at static loot drop points in the game.

Opo Chano on Telos sells a robust variety of droid parts and all HK parts.

On Onderon, I have fully replaced Gegorrann with a new faction merchant who will go about business as usual selling you Military surplus and rarities, per his agreement with the Onderon Military.

  • Beware playing Dark side on Onderon when using this mod.
  • There are no glitches per say, but I believe they attack the merchant, vice versa at the end.
  • Not to spoil anything, but those guys are riot police.

TSLRCM works functions but I do not know if you can reach the HK factory. But, you can complete the game.

Likewise I heard that the new merchant on Onderon makes an outcome not passable for Dark Side players, but I don't believe this is the case with version 4.4.4.

I explain how to bypass these potential glitches further down the page in the Troubleshooting section.

  • If you are using Movie Mandalorians, please install it after installing Loot and Immerison Upgrade.
  • This mod largely has every mod I've worked with in it. There are variations to this mod's content in separate, older releases that you can find on my profile.
  • The Cortosis armor mod, New Onderon Merchant mod, armored robes mod, and all other mods I've made are currently inside the Loot and Immersion Upgrade in most up-to-date form.
  • I did not include Beautified Lightsaber Blades for TSL in this mod.

  •

If you have any questions about the mod, or want to know more about it before you download, feel free to leave a comment or Private Message me (90SK) on DeadlyStream.

Changelog:

Spoiler

I fixed as many glitches and anomolies as I could find, including everything with missing items, KSE, the installer, items, etc.

10/25

  • At least one unused armor, unused droid items and several unused crystals have been restored with this mod (attn: Citadel Station, Nar Shaddaa, Korriban, Onderon
  • Opo Chano sells originally unused droid parts and all HK parts
  • I redid HK-47's skin for version 3.3

11/3 - 12/10

  • I redid the Onderon Merchant's inventory to primarily sell armors. He sells all the best armors of the game, I went into great detail here.
  • This 11/3 update only acts on the Onderon Merchant's inventory. You will need him to respawn, aka first visit to get the new inventory.
  • I have retroactively added a new Exile item, different loot in the Korriban tomb, and different loot with new armors in Vogga's chamber.

Compatibility:

Spoiler

The I (Jedi robe), N (master robe) , J (star forge robe) , and K (armored flight suit) class armors are fully replaced with this mod.

Troubleshooting:

Spoiler

  • White Box Icon Items :

This version will patch over these Do not interact with these items.

Bypassing them is the best way to continue your game. v.4.4.4 will patch these. Only one is know ("Malak's Robe")

  • No DS on Onderon :

If this happens, restart Onderon after removing "npc_gegorran.utc" from Override (After installing the mod, or Before by removing the file from tslpatchdata)

  • No HK Factory with TSLRCM:

Before meeting with Kavar, remove "end_mand.dlg" from Override (After installing the mod, or Before by removing the file from tslpatchdata instead).

  • Spelling:

Please, have mercy on me! :)

  • Star Forge Robe Items Crashing:

This is because not all NPCs including party members are able to wear this type of item in default TSL. I believe Atton, Handmaiden, Exile, and Disciple can wear.

I can't fix the Steam workshop issue until the mod is out of beta mode which could be a while, and I'm not really trying to sus out that fix just yet. AFAIK there is no way around workshop mods conflicting with override mods due to different install directories.

As for NPC overhaul, that hopefully will be confirmed compatible within the next month at latest. I will try my best to work on that and confirm that.

@Dredaius717

I need to look more into that, I'll check it out. Thanks for letting me know

Installation: *Run tslpatcher.exe and select your Knights Of The Old Republic II directory,

**Does not require but is compatible with TSLRCM 1.8.4 & M4-78EP

You might want to update that to TSLRCM 1.8.5.

Using a 4CD french version of the game (fully patched and with TSLRCM), I encountered an annoying problem : I've got no description or name on all the items you edited to do this mod, only their stats. It is already the case with the armor added by based TSLRCM but yours changing so many things, it becomes hard to manage inventory without names. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with language issues, but I don't know what to do since I'd really like to keep your word.

Any idea ? Thanks.

NPC Overhaul should be totally compatible with 2.0.8b now, but please save often and in different slots like the game suggests so you can avoid an unexpected conflict. 2.0.8b can be installed if you already have 2.0.7b installed, it will patch and update the content. I don't know much about the language problems in the game. The item descriptions need to be entered into the TLK file, with translations. There also may be a way around that, so I will keep looking for ways to address this issue, but I can't promise anything in the short term.

Install Loot & Immersion upgrade after NPC Overhaul, but before Genoharadan Legacy Mod IIRC.

Install any master/padawan robe mods after Loot & Immersion upgrade.

Generally have Loot & Immersion be the last thing you install before your playthrough.

Two requests:

1) Can you please change the custom audio from wav to mp3? Reason for this is that Steam TSL can't support wav audio only mp3 audio

2) If the deveronian and human NPCs now wear Iridorian armour why are they still referred to as deveronian and human and not iridorian? I can believe a human could wear iridorian armour but not a deveronian due to his horns. Would some sort of change be done here?

I have modified the human to use a default sound set, and removed the race designation tags on the names in each UTC for those characters, and I have updated the Korriban and Dxun tombs with improved loot. I have also modified the names of the loot drops to accommodate the items included in a proper way for immersion. Azkul got great new unique armor, Dxun/Korriban have been successfully altered, and the space suit mercenary skins on Onderon have been improved.

Thanks for the reply concerning language issue. While waiting for a solution (no pressure !), how can I take a look at the tlk file you mention ? Thanks.

Is this excellent mod by any chance compatible with Schematic Lightsaber Mod (SLM)? I am well aware they adress similar items and game mechanics and I know it says the mod isn't generally compatible with other mods besides TSLRCM, but it's worth asking. SLM seems more 'lightsaber' oriented, while this one focuses on overall items and feel. So is there any way to make them work together or is it just a dream? :P

Should be fine, I always encourage caution because sometimes there are conflicts, but that should be ok to use.

Thanks for the quick reply, 90SK! I am a big fan of your KOTOR mods from years back.. Good to see you're still active!
Of course I will be cautious and plan to do a backup of my override or even better - my whole game - because I finally have a mod build that's stable (I believe) after the painful yet seemingly successful uninstall of M4-78, which I regret installing. Good to hear from a competent source that there is a good chance the mods I ask about will work together.

If I get bored with my current playthrough, I will try to merge your mod with SLM, *and* Content: Feats and Powers Mod. Would that be too ambitious you think? They all use TSLPatcher. Also, I kinda like my old robes mods, I didn't quite figure from the readme if robes mods are compatible? From the info here on the site it seems so. It's clear any install of your mod will replace my old robes already in override, question is am I able to replace the robes from TSL:LIU 2.0.8 with robes from another custom robe pack ('normal' and master)?

Sorry for the long post and thank you again for the help!

Be careful, I've had problems with the Feats and Powers Mod in previous play throughs. Killed my runs before I made it to the end. use that mod, as well as some other mods with caution.

Thanks a lot for the tip, Zachscustoms, I'll have that in mind. Feats and Powers seems a nice addition but it's not worth it at all if there's even a slight chance of breaking my game. I'll just try to merge SLM and TSL Loot & Immersion and that should reach a level of awesomeness that's more than enough. It would be very helpful, not only for me but for others to share what other mods you advice caution about and have you tried to install this mod (TSL L&I) and combine it with other ones (for ex. SLM).

SLM may cause some weird things to happen, but I don't think it broke my game in my play through. There is a mod build/guide on the KOTOR subreddit. It offers great advice for modding your game, and is very easy to follow. The author of the topic, Snigaroo, built the guide to be lore friendly and to keep the game's difficulty in check. You can ask questions on the forum about installation and whether or not a certain mod that is not listed in the build is compatible or not. If you want a good mod build that is very polished and glitch free, I advise checking that guide out. I can give you a link if you want.

I've seen such mod builds posted online, it's just I always 'followed my own path' and of course it has lead to more trouble than not. So I would appreciate you sharing the link to see if it's the same subreedit page I know. Maybe my next playthrough I will follow such a guide and ask there if anything goes wrong.

I am sad to report that after uninstalling M4-78 my modded game, supposedly now just TSLRCM 1.8.5, my current savegame glitched heavily on Nar Shaddaa.  I got the long forgotten but well documented 'Red eclipse repeat scene' game-breaking bug that prevents my from boarding the Ebon Hawk normally after I've finished all of Nar Shaddaa. I've managed to sircumvent even this by using the 'Warp Band' mod so for now I've dodged a bullet but it's very probable my whole mod build is now messed up (seemed flawless before when running with M4-78). I'm saying this just in case someone faced a similar issue.

Anyway, I'm going off-topic real heavy real quick here so I'll wrap it up, this should be my final rant in this comment section. As far as TSL Loot & Immersion is concerned, I hope I can use at least that in my next modbuild. Thanks again everyone, you have been very helpful indeed and I am sure I will have a better playing experience next time because of your tips. Have a great day (or night) :)

Thank you very much. I have to say I have many if not all of these mods already (I don't use the high-res textures due to my old PC). As I read through the list and the details, I can assume my mods should be compatible with TSLRCM (or at least lack game-breaking bugs). I tried to check every mod and almost every file (especially *.2da files) so they are compatible with TSLRCM. So I guess my mistake was trying to simply uninstall M4-78 through the uninstaller and expect no consequence. Maybe I will have to redo my whole mod-build after all.

Some very valuable info on a lot of mods on the reddit post anyway, so thanks for that.

^ Remove "P_Bao_DurA.tga" and "P_Bao_DurH.tga".

Please PM me with actual details about your glitch, this mod does not affect Bao-Dur's dialog files, only his skin files.

In NPC Overhaul the Twi'lek wears a Ubese Flight Suit which I think may have been replaced in this mod by something else. I bet that's the problem.

I had the same problem for a while. I was told to use the KOTOR Edit tool to change the armor of the droid master into something that the mod did not change or delete. It can be a bit complicated, but if you turn to page 15 of this comment section, you will find a possible fix in a comment by Squall Lionhart. It may be confusing, but it is worth a shot to try it out and see if it helps you.
