About This File

TFU Lightsaber pikes for TSL

Author: DeadMan

Description:
This mod adds lightsaber pikes which Shadow Guards used in The Force Unleashed.
You can build them at workbench when your character reaches level 8.
They deal same damage as doublebladed lightsabers, but not upgradable.
Also you can optionally install them for sith assassins.

Installation:
Step 1: Just run the installer.
Step 2 (optional): If you want sith assassins to use these pikesabers instead of the quarterstaffs, copy files from included "sith_assassins" folder to your override.

Known Issues:
There are currently no known issues or problems with this mod. If you do encounter any issues or problems, please let me know.

Conditions of Use:
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES ANY OF MY MODS TO BE UPLOADED TO STEAM WORKSHOP.
Anything else - be my guest, use like you want, just give credit to me.
Special thanks to my brother for providing me a lot of hi-res TFU screenshots.

No pixels were harmed during creation of this MOD... well, maybe one or two... but they were bad pixels anyway! :D

THIS MOD IS NOT SUPPORTED BY LUCASARTS, BIOWARE OR OBSIDIAN.

A nice inverted grip for normal lightsabers would be nice, maybe only for the stance, but it would be perfect for some atacks animations too... any thoughts?

Editing animations is a really painfull process, so I doubt anyone will want to do this. And I personally never liked inverted saber style.

I was always asking myself how capable those Sith-Assassins really were, if they were equipped with anything more than PLAIN STICKS...

I currently run another gameof TSL trying Mods and yours just made the Sith able to overrun the mandalorian Base on Dxun without even sweating...

your weaponry enables them to do, what, two or three times the usual damage? I couldn't stand a chance... Amazing!!! :D

Maybe I'll try it again with a different party. Nothing against a new challenge.

I like the pike design! I was always phantasizing about more Lightsaber subtypes for a Kotor 3 like Tonfas, Whips and so on..

Thanks for the great work :)

I don't get the point of adding these to the low lvl gameplay. why not add them as lightsaber alternative for late game?

You cannot upgrade them, that may be the reason.

Then I think they should probably be made upgradeable?

If they were upgradeable you may become very overpowered too early in the game, and I don't want to completely ruin games already crippled balance. Another option is to make them upgradeable, but make them available much later in game, and I don't want to do so.

It's a matter of personal preferences. I never considered Royal/Shadow guards a 'proper' Force/lightsaber users. In my book, 'real' Jedi use one single-bladed lightsaber ;-)

If anyone want to modify this mod to make them upgradeable (or anything else) - be my guest. I have no desire to do it myself, it is already like I wanted it to be.

like I said you should at least give the option to introduce them later on as lightsaber alternative...

If you think about it logically a lightsaber pike is superior to a saber and double bladed saber in most scenarios, since you have a lot more reach

She's just a padawan in K1 :) And there is not much information about her after it.

@DeadMan Would it be at all possible to make a version where the requirement to be able to make these on the workbench is the character having completed their own 'build your lightsaber' quest?

AFAIK, it's not possible.

Fair enough. If I wanted to edit this so that they appeared in the workbench later, like say, level 15. How would I go about doing that? I assume it's one of the 2da. Files?

You'll need to edit itemcreate.2da and itemcreatemira.2da. Just edit level column for pikesabers (dm_pikesb01 - dm_pikesb04).

I installed the mod and the assassins have the pikes, but can't create them at a workbench? I'm using the restored content mod and I'm a level 17 sentinel.
