About This File

There are so-called "lite" alien models that are of lesser quality than most other models in the game. These include the Quarren and Gran species. Both aliens feature more prominently in the sequel and their models were given an overhaul. This mod ports the K2 versions of the models back to K1, improving the quality of models and creating a more consistent aesthetic.

oh man such a WONDERFUL and useful idea. I was soooooo bothered by those LQ K1 aliens !!!! way bothered   ;) 

now, silly question here?? i'm checking  changes.ini  here before installing and see that is says  LookupGameNumber=2 

shouldnt it be  LookupGameNumber=1  if this is to be installed in K1 or am i wrong? correct me, thank u.

I haven't tried installing already.

LookupGameNumber is always set to 2 by default (it is TSLPatcher, after all). It doesn't matter unless it is enabled. I'm guessing LookupGameFolder=0, which means it is disabled.

Is this legal? Genuinely curious, not sure how this works. I thought you could "port" Kotor 1 models to Kotor 2 cause the models were still technically there but for TSL to Kotor, you have to rip files from one game to another.

Glad to know. Finally, I always hated the low poly models. This is definitely a fine addition to my collection. Those low poly models are genuine garbage. I think they just forgot that they had to make higher poly ones when testing high vs low settings in the game and forgot they missed a couple models or something lol.

My game crashed after installing this mod, not sure why. But anyway, these skins looks awesome, very realistic.

The only two things I could imagine would crash your game are a) if you installed it for the wrong game, or b) you installed it on the Xbox or other weird setup (Steam, OS X, Linux). Or it's another mod?

I have Steam versions of the Kotor games now. But the problem was probably caused by other reskins mods.

Because that's the default setting for all uploaded files. I don't know if it's compatible or not as I don't test for that, though it very well may be.

I do not know what the reason is, but in my case, one of the GenoHaradan leaders, who is a representative of the Gran race on Dantooine, was replaced by a Mandalorian, while K1R was installed.
