About This File

THE SITH LORDS RESTORED CONTENT MOD ADD-ON:

GenoHaradan Legacy 1.0.1

1. Description:

----------

This mod adds the GenoHaradan from the first Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic to its sequel. The GenoHaradan is an ancient secretive guild of assassins who work in the shadows operating to keep the Republic intact, however, following the Jedi Civil War something has changed the GenoHaradan, they no longer seek to kill the enemies of the Republic, instead they have focused all their energies into eliminating the once glorious Jedi Order who have stood as the guardians of peace and justice in the Republic for thousands of years for unknown reasons.

While this version is complete, it is far from final. Similar to M4-78, at some point, the GenoHaradan Legacy will be improved with an improved story as an Enhancement Project” as M4-78 did.

Expect possible updates and patches to come.

This mod also includes optional fixes for a few bugs and other problems not fixed by the Restored Content mod here and there but there won’t be too many of them.

2. Installation:

----------

1. First, you will need to get the most up-to-date version of TSL Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM 1.8.5). It's available for download here: http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/578-tsl-restored-content-mod/

Please note that GenoHaradan Legacy will NOT work AT ALL without TSLRCM.

2. Follow TSLRCM's installation instructions.

3. Once TSLRCM is successfully installed, run the GenoHaradan Legacy Double TSLPatcher.exe. A menu will pop asking you which installation you want to install. To install the GenoHaradan Legacy, click on the ‘MAIN’ option and click install. If you wish to install the optional fixes be sure to rerun the TSLPatcher.exe and install whichever fix you like (You may need to do this several times to install all fixes)

4. While I try my best to make this mod as bug-free as possible, with the many options of KOTOR2 and my, at the moment, one man testing team it can happen that bugs, including critical ones, pass through. Please feel free to report any bugs and I will fix them.

5. Install any compatible mods you desire now.

3. FAQ / Known Issues

---------

Q: When will GenoHaradan Legacy EP be released

A: Not for a long time.

"Release dates are for those that don't care about quality in mods"- Sith Holocron

Q: Will your mod work on existing saves:

A: A new game or a save before Citadel Station with the TSLRCM mod should work but I'm not too sure about Citadel Station saves and I'm sure Nar Shadda saves won't work.

Q: Will your mod work on my Linux or Mac?:

A: I see no reason why it shouldn't work on those OS. If you manage to either use or find an alternative to the TSLPatcher and manage to install the mod then it should work.

Q: Will you upload the full mod to the Steam Workshop?

A: For now, the answer is no because I'm not sure how the workshop works and if it can even support a mod like mine. In the far future, if this mod becomes popular enough, I might see if a TSLRCM+M4-78+GenoHaradan Legacy EP bundle would be possible

Q: Will you update this mod again/Will you add...

A: Most likely yes! This version will probably not be the last. If you find a bug please be sure to report it and leave feedback!

Q: Will your mod work on my Xbox?:

A: No

Q: Can I play this mod in Vanilla:

A: No! This mod requires TSLRCM to work

Q: What makes your mod different from previous TSL GenoHaradan mods such as the unreleased The Sith Lords Restoration Project by Team Gizka and The GenoHaradan Beta by Exile007

A: The Dessicus boss fight in Exile007’s mod was inspired by the TSLRP boss fight but improved upon to make it less confusing, in my mod, I further improve upon Exile007’s work and made his work compatible with The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod

5. Special Thanks

--------------------------------------------------

Dashus – Project Lead of The Sith Lords Resotration Project (TSLRP), the original restored content mod which intended to restore the GenoHaradan, despite the TSLRP never being finished, its leaked betas which contained GenoHaradan content helped me understand the GenoHaradan plot in TSL a bit more.

Lord of Hunger- Project Lead of the “GenoHaradan Revisioning” mod, his mod was never shown to the public thus makes his mod more of an inspiration.

Exile007- Project Lead for “The GenoHaradan”, his mod was released to the public as a Beta file which was not compatible with TSLRCM. His mod and his work served as a major inspiration to the GenoHaradan Legacy mod and was used as a base for the first versions of the mod.

Zybl2, Stoney, Hassat Hunter and VarsityPuppet- The main four developers of The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM), the successor to the previously mentioned TSLRP. Despite not restoring the GenoHaradan, their efforts paved the way to more restoration mods such as the GenoHaradan Legacy.

Danil-ch- Working on and Contribution of the Batu Rem and Goto scenes as seen in the GenoHaradan Legacy

VarsityPuppet- The original creator of the “Layne Stanley PC Head” which was used for the unique GenoHaradan Assassin

Effix- The original creator of the head texture for Dessicus

Obsidian Entertainment- Making development on the GenoHaradan in TSL and leaving some trace of their existing for we modders to follow

Bioware- For implementing the GenoHaradan into K1

Fred Tetra- Creator of Kotor Tool

Stoffee- Creator of the TSLPatcher

George Lucas- Creator of the beloved Star Wars Franchise

This guy usually pisses me off sometimes, and hell, I would just skip the formalities and take him out and get on with the adventure in the game itself. So is this guy actually "Batu Rem"?

No, he is still an imposter from Nar Shadda pretending to be Batu Rem, however, he is now a GenoHaradan Agent from Nar Shadda instead of an Exchange bounty hunter who plans to kill the exile and collect the exchange Jedi bounty! His new voice overs are fully voiced to say he is apart of the GenoHaradan!

This breaks my game where I have to go pick up the Czerka droid in dock module. I know it's the mod because this has never happened before.

When and Where abouts exactly does this happen? Because my mod doesn't modify the protocol droid in the dock module.

Hey old friend, how is the development of this  mod going?

Due to a Kotor Tool bug around January which prevented me from modding until June and a serious bug I have whilst testing a much later part of the mod I haven't developed a whole lot due to lack of motivation, however, I have gone around to fix bugs in a recent update to the Demo!

Keep reporting bugs and know that: As long as I am still active making mods for K1 I am still around to discuss the Legacy mod.

I see. Thanks for letting me know. Sorry to hear that, but thanks for the new update!

Will do. Do you plan on discontinuing this mod  because of that serious bug you encountered?

No, I will continue to develop the mod up until I reach that bug which occurs near the very end of the mod. Even then I'll at least check with other users if my bug can be fixed.

TLDR I won't discontinue the mod at this point

So did you ever find out if this is compatible with NPC Overhaul 1.22? Or do you believe that bug was his own client side issue. Also great mod btw, it will make a fine addition to my collections of upper echelon mods.

Turns out he, instead of using the TSLPatcher installer, copied and pasted the files into the override folder. Because he did this it caused an NPC I intended to appear in the Entertainment Module appear in the Hangar and break the game. I am certain this will work with the NPC Overhaul mod.

Ah I see thats awesome, so install NPC overhaul first correct? Currently im working on a Document of mods that enhance game-play great that are compatible, once i get my new SSD i will test this with the Hologram Fix & Admiralty Redux asap and SLM 2.0 asap and tell you if i found any incompatibilities.

EDIT: So I installed NPC overhaul using TSLPatcher and then the GenoHaradan Legacy Mod using the Patcher, but I get the bug where when you go to pick up the droid for the ithorians in the docking bay only the TSF officer says his first set of lines upon your arrival then any attempts to talk to the 3 npcs results in them saying their combat dialogue for that quest.  But this only happens when I did the botano sidequest and informed gren about the other 2 quests he gave me. I also believe I did the Harra sidequest.

The only other mods that I would think that would cause any problems with this beside NPC overhaul are benok VO fix, starport visa fix(both by you) and then the improved ai and zhug attack fix mods.

I will continue to search for bugs and look for compatibility fixes, if you wish to see the full list of mods i'm running i would be glad to give them to you.

As I said some times I love the MOD's that involve new areas, characters and history. I'm very, very interested in try with this MOD but now that I'm able to play with M4-78EP, is it compatible with the droid planet?

Yes, in fact, GenoHaradan Legacy acts as a fix for M4-78EP because in 1.3/1.5 Grenn's fuel dialogue when you use M4-78's fuel it is poorly organised and you don't get the 1000 credits as promised. Legacy actually fixes that so it is both organised and gives the right reward!

Are you using the Workshop M4-78? Because if so you'll need to install into the workshop override ofc.

Sorry for not replying earlier, never got the notification. If you still experience bugs or issues please inform me of them and I will see if there is an issue. From what you've told me, it doesn't look like my mod is directly the issue though it may be a problem with something else.

Thanks for the answer :)

Now that you mention it, in my penultimate Playthrough, months ago and first time with M4-78EP (v.1.5.1), I did the Fuel Quest asking Vogga and finished it asking the fuel to M4-78. After talk with Lt. Grenn I think the journal updated/finished the quest (I know about some bugs related, I believe, with the order of events you do in Nar Shadaa that can left the quest unfinished) but never got the answer/reward from G0-T0, just blaming me of the destruction of Peragus. In my last Playthrough, finished few days ago, I talked nothing about fuel to Vogga and finished the quest asking for it to M4-78/talking with Grenn. The journal updated/finished the quest but I get no answer/reward from G0-T0 again.

So, more than WELCOME your GenoHaradan MOD!!

I use nothing from Steam except some page/forums where some times Google leads me...

Thanks again!! :)

The name of the downloaded file says is version 1.0.2 while the name in the title and at the last changelog says version 1.0.1. The dates in the changelog and of the update are April 13 so I asume is some typo error.

Which is the real version, 1.0.1 or 1.0.2?

Frankly is a very minor headache but can be confusing with future updates.

Edit: The Readme file says is v.1.0.1 but is a copy of the description in this page (except the the part 'What's New in Version 1.0.1')

@Obi Wan PereHello, I must ask two questions.

Do you see "g_201thug001.utc" inside the override?

Do you see "201ithd2.dlg"

If you do or don't can you let me know so I may determine your problem?

Hi @N-DReW25, thanks for the answer.

Neither one nor the other file.

I have to say that since I found the problem and post here I've made some changes. I don't know if these files WERE in the Override folder. Reading the post of @SHEEN, when talks about 'benok VO fix' I'm not sure if he means 'Benok's Alternate Lines Restoration 1.0' as one MOD that can be problematic and I had it installed. I uninstalled it and used a Save before enter the Cantina and repeated from there but didn't work (I already had made/started some of the side quests from Lt. Grenn and started Harra's). After that I decided repeat the whole Telos plot (without 'Benok's Alternate Lines Restoration 1.0') BUT I did directly the Ithorian/droid quest first that all, even without visit Lt. Grenn and recover the gear, and it worked (that is a similar way as said by Sheen). After that I could do the rest of the Telos plot (even the encounter with the GenoHaradan assassin, that I was afraid it fail) without problems. Now I'm just about to take the shuttle to the surface.

I'm not sure what is the real cause but seems a problem with the order in which we do the plot.

@N-DReW25

No no no, just the automatic dialog with the soldier, after that just the "balloon texts" (as if were attacked) with the others NPCs and no ambush nor anyone else in the docks.
