  1. K1R gets a new name! KotOR1 Restoration & Improvement Project

    27 April 2012 - 01:25 PM

Attention Deadly Stream K1R is receiving a name change. It is now known as the KotOR1 Restoration & Improvement Project. Why the sudden name change? Well as Sith Holocron pointed out to me the mod isn't pure restoration and thus the name change is appropriate. The reason K1RIP has custom content in the first place is to restore things that barely have any data left like the Czerka Offices on Korriban and to restore things that no longer make sense with the final version. Now we have 2 ways to go about the custom content/alternative scenarios and I would like the community to vote on it.

    1. We can go with original plans and just use custom content to integrate it all into the game.

    or

    2. We can go with NewGame+ (if possible to script) so that that way those who want only pure restoration will just have to avoid NG+

Please vote and make your voice heard. Thanks. -ZM90
  2. Xenoblade Chronicles (Spoilers)

    22 April 2012 - 12:51 PM

Just beat Xenoblade a few days back and I must say I am quite impressed with the game. In fact I'd call it one of the best JRPGs I've ever played. I thought the plot was great with the whole the Mechon attacked your village supposedly killing someone important to you so you take the fight to them and then eventually after a bunch of plot twists you end up fighting a God who created your own world!!!

My best party was Shulk (for his Monado abilities), Fiora (Speed-Tank), and Sharla (Heal/Support).

I remember fighting Disciple Lorithia who was Lvl.75 who summoned several lvl.70s to aid her and I beat her with a lvl.73 party consisting of Melia (player controlled), Fiora (with Ether Frame), and Sharla (for heal/support) like a boss.

I thought how they were able to have this huge story, yet a ton of sidequests, and a huge world with a ton of exploration was amazing. I also thought the environments were a sight to behold.

One of the best JRPGs and one of the best Wii games. I would definitely recommend it.

    10/10
  3. K1R Impossible Difficulty Impressions

    27 March 2012 - 09:05 AM

I would like to get feedback from the community on how hard you thought Impossible difficulty was for those who played it as I haven't personally been able to do a complete run-through of K1 with it. From what I gathered when I tested it with it on though it made Bendak Starkiller near impossible for example. Also this song right here is what I think best represents Benak on Impossible difficulty Anyway I'd like to get feedback from you guys. So how was "Impossible Difficulty"?
  4. US Governement Builds Massive New Spy Center to track your emails and phone calls

At this point it's clear to me that we no longer have a government for of and by the people. Welcome to the United Corporate Police States of America. Both Bush and Obama administrations need to be charged with treason for the egregious destruction of the Bill of Rights and their spitting on the Constitution of the United States in general. For other examples of treasonous acts see: The Patriot Act, NDAA, the recent bill that was passed to clamp down on protesting, SOPA, PIPA, ACTA. There's only so much people can take, I fear it's going to get really bad in the US really soon (as if it isn't already bad enough) :(.
  5. War on the Internet: ISPs to become lackeys for Hollywood executives

    15 March 2012 - 09:01 AM

    Read the link here http://www.tomsguide...news-14459.html

    Scary stuff.

What can you do to protect your privacy (this is perfectly legal btw)?

You can download the TOR browser, a VPN, and use proxies. I recommend as many layers of security as possible if your ISP starts harassing you over downloads in the next few months even if your downloads are perfectly legal.

Protect your anonymity online and have a good day!

Now that your status update doesn't appear on the main page, you might want to announce what fix you're working in the K1R section - if only so folks don't still think you're still on hiatus. If you don't have an update, perhaps someone else on your team has something to pass along. Besides, you were already working on stuff during your hiatus anyway . . .

Yes,actually but, that project failed a little over a year ago. I left the Zelda hacking community shortly after. I'm surprised you heard about that. Too much drama honestly,I haven't had any drama with K1R though so that makes me happy plus K1R is easier to get done than the OoTBRP was.

I don't suppose you're the same ZM90 that was working on the Ocarina of Time Restoration Hack?

Well we've been working on Taris. You remember how I said Taris was about 90% complete? Turns out we found more cut content so we're working on that plus fixing some existing Taris content. Endar Spire also had some cut content. Also found new cut content for Dantoinee, apparently you originally needed energy crystals to power the Rakatan terminals in the Dantoinee Star Map ruins.

Any chance your "information officer" could provide the folks with updates on your K1 Restoration project?

I recommend you recruit this guy over at LucasForums as he's very interested in working on K1 stuff without screwing up existing K1 restoration projects: http://www.lucasforums.com/member.php?u=150698
    He stated the following: http://www.lucasforums.com/showpost.php?p=2785066&postcount=159

That's a pretty good idea. That picture was there to show it was extremely difficult but,I can add the picture showing the listed difficulty :). Hold on,it will be up in a minute.

Your mod description states "It adds the "Impossible" difficulty back into KotOR1." Why not provide a screen shot of the difficulty selection screen showing that restored option instead of the random picture you've attached?

@SithHolocron:I'm still working on it at my own pace. I actually restored some dialog that I imagine hardly anyone knows anything about yet,the other night and I am currently trying to get things together for a new video. So has my pace been slow lately? Yes. Am I still working on it? Yes.
