Female Version of Bandon's Armor Model?

Recommended Posts

Was just wondering if somebody could try their hand at resizing the Darth Bandon/K1 Sith Apprentice armor model (as well as give it female animations) so we could have a female version of the armor? Thought it would be neat to have as a modder's resource for both games (model still exists in TSL, from what I remember).

It already exists, in my Trayus Rank Reform mod. Maybe need some free time or a Darth Parametric type to make it work for K1 and/or miscellaneous tweaks

I remember seeing it, but I noticed the arms used the female version of the Sith Assassin model didn't they? I'm just talking about having the model use the original arms, and having a K1 version as well. Maybe also make a version with the neck portion of the armor slightly smaller in case of any hair clipping through it.

Ah you may be right. Maybe worth a re-rigging then. Like I said, might need a real Darth Parametric type to get it working :P

Agreed. DP has a real knack for it. I still really like the Trayus Reform mod though (can't recall if it's compatible or not with the latest TSLRCM, but I guess I can always find out the hard way)

I should start charging.

Get the Bandon right arm for the introductory price of just $2.95*! Then each month expand your collection with a new and different appendage!

*Regular price $15.95 per issue.

I'll be taking your entire stock of those for free because modders can't accept money- http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/1414-the-modders-cant-accept-donations/

Well, it's not really the same, but in the meanwhile you can try out my version in "Seikan's armors of the old Republic" I think bastilla's model makes for a great replacement °°

Ah, I remember using your mod at one point. I like it very much, and the skins are nicely done.

I'm just hoping to get a female version of the Bandon/Sith Apprentice model made just as a modding resource more or less.

Here, try this out and see how it goes:

Scaled to female S/M/L sizes, lowered the collar height, expanded the chest a bit. I did a quick and dirty edit of the texture to black out the hands and make them look like gloves, so someone will probably need to make a proper texture for it.

I just exported it as PFBJ for ease of quick testing. You'll have to edit the texture column for body J in appearance.2da (blank it out) and give yourself the Revan/SF robes UTI. I'm open to suggestions about switching it to a different model.

If you or a group of people manage to get Bandon's armor working properly in Kotor 1 with all heads visible, that would easily be my mod of the decade. Trying to get Bandon's armor to be compatible has always been a pain. Every single mod that was released in the past that gave you the armor never worked (mainly cause the modders really had no idea how 2da files worked) so I had to make my own set. The best I've bothered to do is get one head fully working with the armor. That's without having replaced another armor model. Now that I think about it, it should be possible, but that would require adding in every individual head/model type in the appearance.2da and heads.2da, right? Ughhhhh

In TSL, it's considerably easier because you could just replace the Star Forge robes model and no one would really care since that model never appears in the game normally. You have a really impressive female rescaling of the Bandon model here. If it was ported over to TSL, we'd basically have a perfect set of Bandon armor for that game.

If you want it as a disguise, yeah. That's what I did for the female version of the Revan's hoodless/maskless robes. It's a pain in the ass to set up, certainly. As with that mod, you'd probably want to use a script-based approach to dole out the right UTI to match the player's appearance.

So that's how you did it... I was wondering how you were able to match every UTI to the player's appearance. You didn't need to do that for the male players?

Because the robes had to use male animations, the female players needed replacement heads that also used the male animations. So they were set up as disguises. Male players didn't require any special consideration, so I just replaced PMBJ for them.

Only problem I could see was the neck seemed not be connected and sort of floats for me. Was that possibly from lowering the neck portion?

Yep, that did it.

The only last tweak I can think of is the height... She looks a little shorter than her normal height.

Other than that, perfect, all we need now is a TSL version.

You can see on the medium, which is the base model I worked on, that the hands line up. That's the most important (and difficult) thing. Because of the different proportions, that makes her a bit shorter (because of the broader shoulders of males). That is then exacerbated when scaling up and down for the small and large. I'll give the medium a little scale bump and see if that can't even things out a bit, but it will never be perfect because of the different proportions.

Yep, that's good! Thanks so much for this, DP. Sorry if I kept bugging you about it.

Ah, alright. Again, thanks so much for doing this. Any chance of a TSL version?

Hmm... I think the collar's become too short now. I prefer the previous version of the shortened collar you made. Could you also maybe include a version of the model with the collar left at it's standard height? I'm curious to see what it looks like.
