CZERKA SIGN AND DESK ENHANCEMENT (version 1.2)

Description:

This texture replaces all instances of the low resolution Czerka sign seen in the game. In addition, the desk seen in the Czerka office (and many other places throughout the game) has been cleaned up and even has an animated screen!

Notes:

A small update: I've made some minor updates to the green buttons on the desk texture.  If you'd rather use the original ones instead, they are still available in the package. (See Installation instructions.)

The loading screen has been removed from the package as it's now included in my "Replacement Loading Screens for KotOR2: Original Pack (with or without TSLRCM) - Part 1" mod.  Why have multiple identical versions. right?  

 

Installation:

If using TSL: Choose whether you wish to use the original or new versions of the textures.  Grab all files from one of those folders and put them in your Override folder. 

If using KotOR1: Choose whether you wish to use the original or new versions of the textures.  Grab all files from one of those folders and put them in your Override folder. 

 

Uninstall:

Remove the textures from the Override folder.

Note the animation of the desk monitor.  This GIF is a bit janky looking.  I assure you that the animation runs much smoother in the actual game.

Well the desk portion is mostly the same. The gadgetry is upgraded, however.

Btw, you may try Genetica 4 if you want, it really helps with the animation process, since it makes the x2 animated texture process for you automatically.

You also  can simply insert each frame as imported image and render it as animation as well - makes life easier

• Did you happen to know what's the texture name of that Czerka's sign on Kashyyyk [Edean field office]?

I mean, it is obvious that the "PLC_CzSign" of this mod is not linked to that texture and I thought maybe I can use your higher-quality texture to replace it. Because to tell the truth, I can't find any sign similar to that screenshot in the mod's page, and I do really want to experience this mod's quality in KotOR1.

@ebmar: That's a completely different texture, by the way.  I didn't say I'd consider this . . . but . . . drop the attached file in your Override and let me know if shows up.  (Pictures would help if it does.)

If it works and if people want it, give the first person that posts pictures of this new texture in the game likes or light side points.  That's how I'll determine if I need to update the package or not - your like will be vote.  (Because the way the site works, this attachment won't last forever.)

I'd test it myself but I have my own Ord Mantell textures replacing these.  (Those Ord Mantell textures were for this video,  which could use some comments and likes on YouTube by the way.)

Yes! That update is definitely needed on my end!

Anyway, sorry for not straight-forward-ly posting the review picture 'cause I ended-up crashing to sleep after testing and actually taking some screenshots from the attached version of the new sign. 🙏

I do notice a significant change particularly with the frame, and the latest sign which is included on your latest picture does looks lot better!

I'd just like someone to work on this texture from KotOR1 and KotOR2. 

I'm no good at cloth textures but I'm sure someone could knock it out of the park.  It would be nice to complete the Czerka theme.
