How and when to use "File broken" feature

How to Report Files Broken and When to Do It!

What is this feature?

This feature is a link in the bottom-left of every file's description on the download page from the Downloads section. When you click this link, you will be taken to a new screen asking you to write out why you're reporting the file broken. After you submit this report, the file will be tagged as broken and your reason will appear in a red box at the top of the file's page.

When should I use this feature?

You should not use this feature every time there is a problem, but below are some valid reasons for reporting a file broken:

  • The download is 0kb
  • The download directs you to the wrong file
  • You get an Error Message of some kind
  • The download refuses to be unpacked if it's an archive
  • The download refuses to open
  • The download is missing files or has broken files

When should I NOT use this feature?

You should not use this feature when there is a bug with the mod or tool or whatever. Likewise when the program crashes or doesn't seem to work like you're expecting.

In those cases, it's likely a bug and you should use the "Get Support" link on the right-hand side of the file's page and leave a reply detailing what's wrong.
