Well, I accidentally ran one of these .bat files and I couldn't play the game anymore :P Somehow game's registry path was removed :o Not sure how that happened. Also I couldn't make Path Finder work but I could manually select KotORs directories in KSE.ini, so everything works fine now.

Hey hows it going. So I've recently reinstalled KSE because I'm doing yet another play through of TSL. But whenever i try to find a save a message pops up in my KSE saying "2DA.bif!\n TSL" Yet when i go into my KSE configuration file the notepad has the following

[Installed]

K1_Installed=1
K2_Installed=1
TJM_Installed=0

[Paths]
Steam_Path=New Volume (F:)\\Steam
K1_Path=New Volume (F:)\\Steam\SteamApps\common\swkotor
K2_Path=New Volume (F:)\\Steam\SteamApps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II
K2_SavePath=New Volume (F:)\\Steam\SteamApps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\saves
K2_SavePathCloud=New Volume (F:)\\Steam\SteamApps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\cloudsaves
TJM_Path=undef

[Options]
Use_K2_Cloud=1
All entered manually without KPF.. All the paths i have typed in are correct but the program still insists it cannot find any save files when i open it. When I close KSE with all the paths plugged into the configuration it resets it to the following
[Installed]
K1_Installed=0
K2_Installed=0
TJM_Installed=0

[Paths]
Steam_Path=New Volume (F:)\\Steam
K1_Path=New Volume (F:)\\Steam\SteamApps\common\swkotor
K2_Path=
K2_SavePath=\saves
K2_SavePathCloud=New Volume (F:)\\Steam\SteamApps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\cloudsaves
TJM_Path=undef

[Options]
Use_K2_Cloud=0
Any ideas on what the problem could be?

You could try "F:" instead of "New Volume (F:)", since the paths are by the drive, not the drive's name.

Hello I need some help. When I try and use kse 3.3.7 it loads up the saves fine but when I click commit changes it gives me an error that it can't open PARTYTABLE.res file for writing. This is the only version of kse that seems to be able to find my save files. Even when I manually input the file folder for the other kse versions it gives me save files that don't exist. But this newer kse I can't commit changes so no better. Please can anyone help?

This is my full error.

Try going to the LucasArts folder (or wherever you installed the game(s)) and removing the Read-only access before you open KSE.

This issue (not being able to write out the files) is due to the files being read-only and the system then preventing you from overwriting the file.

Did you make sure to check the "Apply settings to all sub-folders, files, .etc" box as well?

And could you see if you have a KotoR folder in a folder called "Virtual Folder" in your appdata (probably "local" appdata or "roaming" appdata) and confirm its settings as well?

I did make sure. I only had a folder called Virtual Store and there is a KotoR in it with read only removed.

And have you attempted this action with the folder of the actual game itself?

Yea I applied to all subfolders for both KotoR folders.

Then the last thing I can recommend for this issue is to run KSE as an Administrator...

Hey could someone help me also.  I have had a couple errors so far but I fixed most of them.  The problem I am having now is that I can't see any of my save files in KSE.  I have deleted the KSE.ini file and then ran the KPF.exe to export the paths to KSE.ini.  The KSE.ini looks like

[Installed]
K1_Installed=1
K2_Installed=0
TJM_Installed=0

[Paths]
Steam_Path=e:\steam
K1_Path=e:\steam\steamapps\common\swkotor
K2_Path=e:\steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II
K2_SavePath=e:\steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\saves
K2_SavePathCloud=e:\steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II/cloudsaves/82504127
TJM_Path=undef

[Options]
Use_K2_Cloud=1

The log isn't giving me any errors it makes it seem like it found everything and I should be good, except nothing shows up in the KSE window when I run the program.  I have tried clicking to reload the saves and also changing the path(to the same folder) but it doesn't change anything or give me any errors.  Could someone please help thanks.

The log:

12/27/2015--2:34:15= KSE startup v3.3.7a

12/27/2015--2:34:15= KSE found KotOR1 saves directory in e:\steam\steamapps\common\swkotor

12/27/2015--2:34:15= KSE found KotOR2 Cloud saves directory in e:\steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II/cloudsaves/82504127

I'm trying to access the TSL cloud saves if that makes any difference

Try changing the K2_Installed=0 to K2_Installed=1.

Try changing the K2_Installed=0 to K2_Installed=1.

When I did that it acted like it lost the save files.  It also changed the KSE.ini file back to saying K2_installed=0 after running KSE

12/27/2015--3:2:57= KSE startup v3.3.7a

12/27/2015--3:2:57= KSE found KotOR1 saves directory in e:\steam\steamapps\common\swkotor

12/27/2015--3:2:57= KSE found KotOR2 saves directory in e:\steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\saves

12/27/2015--3:2:57= KSE found KotOR2 Cloud saves directory in e:\steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II/cloudsaves/82504127

12/27/2015--3:3:0= KSE could not find saves directory for KotOR2.

Do you have any saves in the normal saves folder? There's a bug currently that ignores Cloud Saves if no normal saves are found.

oh yea I have no normal saves.  They are on my mac.  Should I go ahead and create the save folder and then copy one of them from the other computer?

edit: yea it worked thanks for your help.

I made a separate topic about this, but maybe this is the more appropriate place to address general questions related to the KSE tool?

Basically, I've been having an issue with some of the features in KSE 3.3.7a. Some features, like 'Attributes' or 'Inventory' seem to work just fine, but some, like 'Feats' or 'Quests' don't show up when the option is expanded. They have worked previously, with the same version of KSE, when I was closer to the beginning of the game, but now that I've progressed a bit, they seem to be gone. I've tried using older saves now, but the same problem seems to persist. I'll leave a screen shot showing what I mean. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

As you see in the screenshot, the option will expand, but only little, uneditable dashes show up, which is the issue I'm asking about.
