The weird way TSLPatcher works is that it doesn't read changes in GFF files that remove data without adding new data. So I created a script that would return true no matter what. I wish there was a better way, but...

Yeah... We'd talked about this on Skype while making the installer...

(Don't kill me...) I've since removed the Error-Checking that prevented assigning blank values... I had to do it for an installer I was working on and it would have been rather difficult to do a workaround with scripts... :D

Come to think of it, since I've both done that and removed the dialog.tlk check used to verify the paths (which crashes the installer if trying to install a mod to a Workshop folder that has no dialog.tlk file in it...), I should probably upload stoffe's TSLPatcher setup (a bundle of TSLPatcher, ChangeEdit, a custom nwnnsscomp.exe [which was done by tk102 to account for the 2DAMEMORY tokens used by TSLPatcher], the read-me, and TLKEdit).

Yeah, maybe. Don't know what I'll do then, but I'll probably remake my changes.ini and remove the return TRUE script. Maybe then I'll try to find out what is causing that bug that Goat is experiencing.

I generally just swap out entire .dlg files rather than deal with modifying it with the TSLPatcher 0_o

That would be great, Fair Strides.

As for Goat's issue; it makes your current party unchangable (so you can't swap them), then once done it unlocks your current party members. The issue is of course if you swap out party members inbetween, those wont unlock again.

Hmm, interesting. I might give that a shot, considering DLG files are very temperamental. I just discovered that one of the dialog files that I told TSLPatcher to merge wasn't merged correctly. I'll probably just start over on the changes.ini file.

Right, I forgot that he corrected himself. I wonder...

Is there a global that is set for the Red Eclipse Counter, that is then reset after the encounter?

Nope, just increments.

Alright, then I just added a Journal check to the first node in the PartySwap dialog.

Small request: Would it be possible to make a unique icon for the PartySwap item? Right now I'm confusing it with Energy Shields all the time^^

Yes. In fact, I just did. It's very simple, the icon no longer is of an armband, just a double ended arrow pointing to an 'H'.

First, I love the idea.

Second, I love your quote. Philippians is where my favorite verse comes from.

Now my problem.

I'm sort of a tech dumby so bear with me. Everything has been working fine up to this point. Everyone is on the ship. Disciple is a jedi and Handmaiden is well on her way.

I can't figure out how to make party swap work.

Can you give me a step by step? I tried re-reading the readme and I just can't seem to get how to use it. I've tried equipping it on different members and it doesn't do jack.

I'm also super sick so I could be missing something super obvious.

First, so do I. It's why I made it.

Second, I think it's my favorite book.

Now, to answer your question. You're supposed to equip it to your character. You can't use it on the ship. Once equipped, and in an area where party selection is enabled, you can use it-as you would a shield or the WhereAmI armband-to add/remove Handmaiden to/from the party.

I downloaded this mod but whenever I equip the item it does not appear so I can use it and I don't know what I am doing wrong, can anyone assist me?

Are you looking for it in the right place? Because if you installed correctly and it's equipped, it should show up in your usable items list in-game, where the energy shields are.

I installed it correctly (i'm 95% sure) and then armband appears in my inventory and I can equip it but not use it, I suspected a mod incompatibility but even after I uninstalled the mod and went to a save before both of them were active it still wouldn't work, I can put up a link to the mod If you think it may be causing it and are willing to be of any help (if not I understand).

Sort of trivial

Apparently you can replace Mandalore the first time you go to Iziz. Surprisingly, you can still go through just fine - mostly. It's impossible to side with Vaklu because normally Mandalore has a line when Tobin comes into the cantina, so that dialogue tree can't be completed. You can leave the cantina, but you'll automatically be on Talia's side

Hmm, interesting. I suppose I'll have to make a script that makes you unable to swap out the party in Iziz, because that just doesn't make sense.

Greetings

I seem to be unable to swap to allow the handmaiden into my party.

however, both show up on the ship...the disciple in the med bay, handmaiden in the cargo hold...

the arm band too shows up, it can be equipped but then it doesn't show up in the usable items list

thanks

Alright, apparently I didn't have much luck in the way of setting up the installer. Also, only today did I realize a more efficient way of making the armband work without having to equip it. That said, I will be starting over on this mod, with the exception of a few files. What does that entail? Well...

  1. Wiping my working TSL directory.
  2. Copying the default installed directory, which includes the 1.0b patch.
  3. Downloading and installing the newest TSLRCM.
  4. Referencing old modified files to (possibly) fresher versions found in TSLRCM.
  5. Modify everything all over again.
  6. NOT SURE ABOUT THIS ONE - Rework the installer file so that this mod overwrites -rather than changes - the TSLRCM files (with backups made after using the installer).
  7. Play the game all the way through after using the installer the same way I force everyone else to use it, rather than just having everything in my override.

Needless to say, this will take a while, and although I made quite a bit of headway as far as what would have been the next update, I've had at least three people tell me that they couldn't even use the armband, which I wouldn't have been able to figure out. Instead, from here on out, it'll work like an adrenal with unlimited uses and no buff.

Players, I ask for patience. Modders, I'll likely ask for guidance. Moderators, feel free to take down the file. I don't want anyone downloading a defunct mod that only I can get to work perfectly.

Well, first of all good luck with your rework! I did not encounter any issues with the prievous version, but making a mod better is always good.

And not having to equip an armband is also a great improvement :)

NOT SURE ABOUT THIS ONE - Rework the installer file so that this mod overwrites -rather than changes - the TSLRCM files (with backups made after using the installer).

But, please don't do that. It'd require your mod to installed as the first mod after TSLRCM and if there are other mods doing the same it could lead to compability issues that would easily avoided by changing the files.

I will try to avoid doing that, but if the files don't change the way they need to, then something's got to give. For all the praise it gets, I'm not a huge fan of the TSLPatcher right now.

Hi, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this mod. It was really nice being able to have both Handmaiden and Disciple in my party, especially since I've wanted to do a "canon" run for a while. On that note however, there was one thing that I ran into that I found a bit peculiar. Whenever I was supposed to go to the Telos Academy the second time, the fight between the Handmaiden and her sisters never occurred; it just shows the cut scene  between Kreia and Atris, then my character is in the hangar. I did make Handmaiden a Jedi, so I'm not quite sure why it wouldn't work. I was just curious if this was related to the characters gender, (like the conversation between Handmaiden and Atris is when Atris tells her to go with the Exile), or if it was just a bug. I did also try to uninstall and reinstall everything, and it still skipped over it. Please reply ASAP, and once again, thank you very much for this mod.
