Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8.4

Recommended Posts

Been wondering this for a while, but has anyone had a problem when they train Bao-Dur, is there a second one in the cargo hold after the remote training with deflecting blaster bolts?

Yep. I had that as well and reported it earlier in this thread

Same issue, even with no Bao Dur mods. From what I could see (I think I had issues de-compiling some scripts), the copy Bao Dur either wasn't erased or there was a tag mismatch and the erase code couldn't find the object.

A separate Bao Dur just stands there with no conversation or use after you train him to be a Jedi; the cutscene NPC never got destroyed, for some weird reason.

I'll look into it, but during all my tests it definitely got removed correctly.

Could be another "missing file in installer" type of things... those happen (:()

Interestingly, if you change your alignment/influence with Bao-Dur enough and his model changes, the clone will retain whatever level of light/dark side he was at when spawned there

Not surprising, since the clone is a different .utc file entirely. The Influence only affects the real Bao Dur's .utc file, so only that one would change.

1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur? Whenever I speak with T3-M4 or he interjects, such as when you first interact with HK-47.
2) Did you install the latest version of the mod? (1.8.4 and 1.2 respectively) We only provide assistance for the most current version of those mods. Absolutely, downloaded the one (twice) that was uploaded on Feb 13 2016 03:23 PM.
3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version? 4CD North-American.
4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY) Yes. Game->patches->TSLRCM
5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file? Fresh one.
6) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.) Absolutely none, just official patch, the audio and movies patches and TSLRCM, all installed with compability to XP SP 2 and as Admin.
7) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen? T3's dialogue just skips sometimes, I poked around a bit and it might have something to do with MonoGiganto's T3 Dialog Fix not being in the latest installer?
8) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod? Yes
9) Have you tried using a different save game? Yes
10) Have you tried starting a new game? Yes
11) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.) Windows 7 Home Premium
12) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen? Yes
13) What language is your game set for? English
14) Which language of TSLRCM are you using? English

I've played this game about 30 times now since '06 or so and I recall T3 having missing lines such as when you first arrive at Citadel Station, it's similar to that.

On another note, and not really TSLRCM related but vey much KotOR related, something that happens to me on both games, after a movie plays (even the intro ones), everything is fine except the keyboard doesn't work (also happens when alt+tab) and the only fix is to either save or load the save manually with the mouse (quicksave key doesn't work). I've tracked down the problem to the cmd.exe shortcut that I use (for affinity shenanigans) as when I open the games through the regular swkotor(2).exe file that doesn't happen. This didn't happen back I played before. Any suggestions?

Note edit: Fixed it by setting the priority to normal instead of high, bit weird to be honest.

In addition to T3's dialog skip, I stumbled upon the following:

In the Peragus Hangar Bay, when you are just controlling T3, interactions with the console reveals the whole map, without requiring the Computer Spike, it just auto reveals the map

In Telos, after Atton comments on how he doesn't really like to work with the Exchange you and your party are teleported to your apartment and you automatically do the mediation pose.

1) When did the problem begin to occur?

Malachor V during the Sion/Atton fight
2) Did you install the latest version of the mod?

Yes.
3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version?

Steam
4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region?

Yes
5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file?

Yes
6) Did you use the TSLPatcher, if provided?

I don't recall it being provided.
7) Were there any errors in the TSLPatcher installation?

I don't recall it being provided.
8) What other mods did you have installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.)

Only the Restored Content mod. Nothing else.
9) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen?

During my past two playthroughs, instead of the cutscene playing out where Sion encounters Atton, Sion just stands there. Only when I go speak to him does the cutscene play out. Also when Atton is killed by Sion, I get the standard "game over" screen instead of the death outcome.
10) Have you tried re-downloading the mod?

Yes.

Yes.
12) Have you tried starting a new game?

Yes.
13) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.)

7) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen?

OK, so I'm on Peragus, and finally made my way to the Ebon Hawk. I enter the ship, and then the turret minigame starts. I shoot down some Sith, but then then I'm told they're boarding the ship, and to get ready to fight them off. The game then loads the inside of the ship, but there are no Sith anywhere inside it. The exit ramp does not work.

8) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod?

I imagine it's probably some sort of mod incompatibility, but I have no idea what mods could be conflicting. I am not keen on reinstalling everything from scratch again until I get some more info here.

9) Have you tried using a different save game?

I tried loading a backup save from just before that point in the game, to see if it would go differently if I tried it again. But it didn't work, same thing happened again.

10) Have you tried starting a new game?

Nope. I would prefer to avoid that.

11) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.)

Windows 10

12) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen?

Confirmed

13) What language is your game set for?

English

14) Which language of TSLRCM are you using?

English

EDIT: Turns out it was the Ebon Hawk camera mod causing the issue. Removing that mod has allowed me to progress.

Just tried it again; definitely can't replicate this behavior.

The deletion is done in a_makejedi.ncs btw... considering at least 1 of you guys used a Hanharr Jedi mod, which presumably alters that breaking it...

As said, I can't make it happen...

Im stating I have had the same issues with TSLRCM 1.8.4 without any other mods installed, not all of the time but only sometimes

If only not 90% of the people who claimed to use no other mods actually didn't use other mods, I might have believed you.

As it is, I'm not automatically convinced you're that 10%.

I do not know whether or not this is an original game bug or not (I do suspect it is but I am going to report it anyway, in case something can be done about it).

I am in Nar Shaddaa, controlling Mira in the Jekk'Jekk Tarr, I am heading to one of the rooms (the one east of the first one where the bartender is). The graphic shows the door and the green circle (not interactive) and I feared the worst until I noticed I could walk through it.

Is it something other people experienced too? Reloading the game solved the problem though.

I have attached a screenshot.

The only walkthrough door I know (the very first one) I fixed, know of no others in the module.

So...

Well, I have met a whole bunch of walkthrough doors returning to the refugee landing pad with Atton, Mira and T3-M4 from the dock.

All the doors are fake closed and the doors around Tienn Tubb where I am going to have the ID signature of the Ebon Hawk changed.

Again, saving and reloading fixes this issue.

There must be something wrong with the first loading of the level, just like it happened at the Jekk'Jekk Tarr...

If that's what does it, then the issue seems to be that the installer doesn't include the makejedi file.  I even checked with fresh downloads.

Edit: Messed around some more.  For anyone having trouble, save before training Bao-Dur, delete a_makejedi.ncs from your override folder, then train him.  You can add the file back after he's a Jedi.

Hello!

I have a question for the TSLRCM developers.

SPOILER ALERT!

I just confronted Revan and the dark side version of me in the final part of the Korriban tomb and I must say I found the difficulty of the fight completely disproportionate to the rest of the game, considering I am playing on the "Easy" difficulty level (the only other part of the game so far that was really tough and required some measure of metagaming was Nar Shaddaa with Mira alone fighting a whole army just after having fought against Hanharr). I was defeated by the vision of my "evil twin" and to my surprise, the game did not end but I sort of resurrected with one fourth of my HPs more or less. Next I was immediately faced with another battle that I survived only because some times I could hide from Revan to cure myself and buff myself further with stimulants and energy shields. Considering that my force points were not generating I found the fight to be very tough, despite being very well equipped and at level 24 or even higher. At this link I found someone saying that TSLRCM has upped the difficulty of this fight. I just want to know if that is the case and say that if it is, it was a clear mistake because I found it totally unbalanced.

It is, and always has been part of 003EBO.mod.

As always, what's in override is a VERY tiny fragment of TSLRCM. Not even 1% most probably.
