About This File

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me.
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil
My cup overflows

Psalm 23: 4-5

Peragus Tweak 1.4

DESCRIPTION:

I was playing through Peragus and wondering why so many people want to skip through it and forget it. It's really a nice place, and it's too bad that some consider it to be quite a chore. I set out to make a mod that would remedy this problem. I don't know if I've succeeded quite yet at this point, but I think ultimately this is a good start

This mod adds a bit of content to the collection of modules you currently know as Peragus. The changes are

as follows:

- Random tan corpses have been replaced with actual dead miners.

+ Non important characters have randomized appearances.

+ Security, Administrator, Med, Dock officers have individual corpses.

+ Coorta and thugs have individual corpses

+ Miners in the dormitories now match their appearances in the holorecords.

INSTALLATION:

Use the TSLPatcher. I'm sorry for the awkward installation procedure, but it's the best way I could figure out to make it work without... you know, redoing EVERYTHING. That will come for the next version of course. As it turns out, it'd just be easier to patch the .git... sigh.

UNINSTALLATION:

navigate to the backup folder and place the contents into the Modules folder. This should overwrite the modded .rims with the originals

CREDITS:

- Bead-V and ndix-ur for their work on mdledit/mdlops

- Fred Tetra + KOTOR TOOL

- Obsidian, Bioware and the Odyssey Engine

- The DeadlyStream Community who has been around all of these years

- Jesus Christ, My Lord and Savior. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

What's New in Version 1.4

Released

Added a fix where the dock officer in the dormitories would not appear (an egregious mistake). Many thanks to @sEcOnDbOuToFiNsAnItY

Playing through Peragus with this was refreshing, having individual corpses for the unique characters and having the dead miners be in uniform was a nice touch overall. Added a lovely bit of flavor.

There are just a couple things I would suggest as improvements.

1. Making a trashed version of the mining outfit (even if it's just a cheap colorswap of the generic corpse rags) to apply to the corpses on the Administration level. This is a consistency thing - the story demands that nobody on the Administration level had salvageable clothing. Might also be good for the bodies down in the mine tunnels.

2. A TSLRCM-specific option that reverts the vibrocutters to the vibroblades (and smaller quantity thereof) found on Peragus in the vanilla version of TSL.

About people hating Peragus... I think a lot of it's just saltiness over the delay on getting to hit things with a lightsaber (hence also resentment of Telos - and resentment of Taris in K1). Others might be frustrated at the forced running-around-in-undies, or the denial of a party until the confrontation with HK-50.

I like this mod and play with it now, but the greatest inconvenience I have with this mod is that every time it loads up the Dormitory level, all the miners glitch and t-pose, and the only fix for this is to reinstall the mod for the dormitory to fix it. It's not a big issue but it happens every time I enter the dormitory and it really breaks a playing experience having to quit and reinstall this one part of the mod every time.
